This lodge is located conveniently nearby many attractions of South east Utah. We were able to get a room without having reservations. The rooms are very nice, with a little kitchenette, bed and bath, with most rooms opening to the parking lot. There is also a decent free breakfast available. There is also a common room next to the lobby... More

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here at this family run lodge. We flew from Delaware to Flagstaff , AZ rented a car and spent the next 10 days driving hitting as many National Parks as we could! The total was about 19. We covered parts of Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona! This lodge was a welcome... More

We loved coming into the common living/breakfast area, because it was so cozy with interesting relics everywhere. Somehow this place was conducive to meeting and sharing travel experiences with the other guests. Our accommodation was spacious and included a living, dining, and kitchen area. We slept well in the comfortable firm bed.

I was with a group of 15 traveling to see Monument Valley. We had advanced reservations, as this is a busy place in the summer. The staff was friendly and very helpful, and the rooms were adequate and clean. The solar heated pool was very nice, and the hiking trails in and near the property were interesting. This is a... Found the motel by chance and really enjoyed our overnight stay. Really good pool and breakfast was fine. Helpful staff with a very good knowledge of the local area. Took the walk to the Green River at the rear of the property and very taken by the great views.

Family owned hotel in a small town, rural setting. The rooms are large with a kitchenette and table. Bathroom is small with just a shower--no tub, but there is a hot tub on the property for relaxing. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The setting is quiet and peaceful with trees providing shade and that outdoor feel. It... More

Located on the north edge of town, it is clean, friendly with a good breakfast. I stayed there several times in the 80s and really enjoyed it. This trip in May was like returning to an old friend. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I recommend the Lodge especially on your journey to Monument Valley. They have access to tours... More

We stayed at the Recapture Lodge one night on our way to Arizona from Colorado. It was 2 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs. Making the reservation was easy. The room was a good size with comfortable beds and very clean. Though the decor is outdated and the shower head is made for people under 5' 4", we enjoyed our... More

Jim Hook, the owner was extremely helpful to us in sorting out registration and refund issues, which were of our own making. I also had problem with my Paypal account which he persevered with until the refund went through. A very patient gentlemen to deal with. Highly recommended.

So we arrived at night and the motel was almost scary - dogs barking, men sitting outside drinking beer, bad lighting, etc. Then we walked into our room with fluorescent lights without shades, industrial carpeting, windows without screens, etc. That said it was clean. We chose it because of the location, we were going rafting to Mexican Hat, but the... More
