DeLano Motel is a gem. A local family in the small quiet town of Beaver, Utah bought this 1950s Motor Court about 15 years ago and lovingly updated and maintain everything. The bed and bedding were comfy, the towels fluffy. The large spacious room has a recliner chair to watch TV. The room was already warmed when I arrived on a snowy winter evening. The family welcomes you with chocolate chip cookies at reception. Only your Mother does that. Covered parking is just outside each room. Beaver is about halfway between Los Angeles and Denver. Easy access from Highway 15 Business on Main Street. Excellent value for the price. This is a step back to simpler times and vintage pink-tiled bathrooms. Ten out of ten for this lovely family-owned motel.

Skip the mega-chains and stay here in small-town Beaver. Utah... you won't regret. The owner, a local family, is more than accommodating and super friendly. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. I wish all motels were like the Delano!

Upon our arrival we were greeted by the daughter of the owners, she was a pleasure very polite and kind, an absolute delight. We were offered a cold beverage and a homemade chocolate chip cookie. (The cookie was delicious) She was very helpful with restaurants in the area and tips on a ride around the lake for sight seeing. The rooms were immaculate! The hotel older but everything was super clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable, the towels were fluffy and soft We enjoyed our night stay. Would definitely stay here again.

The DeLano is a down market motel in a downmarket town. The only reason to be in Beaver is it is halfway between LA and Denver. That said, the staff in the motel were very friendly and the room was clean and quiet. The neighborhood, if an evening walk is what you like to do, is very small, nothing much there. The Creamery is where tourists go for snacks and souvenirs. If you're hungry and want real food, I recommend the Timberline Inn.

Such a clean and lovely place to stay! We were traveling with my elderly parents and the interstate closed, so we had no choice but to find a room for the night. The owner was so nice and polite and made sure we were going to be comfortable. I highly recommend.

I originally chose this motel because it had the best reviews in town but was let down. The shower drain was partially clogged which aside from being disgusting it also made the water slow to drain and there was a dip in the bathroom floor which ended up collecting water as well as the lack of fan or ability to open the window. We ended up using our towels to try to dry the floors and got charged $55 for staining towels and getting too much water on the floor. When I called to discuss the extra charge what they explained was just normal motel use and stuff I have never been charged for in the past. I also mentioned how the fire alarm was missing, then was told it was because the steam of the shower sets it off? Seems extremely unsafe. I am usually okay with staying in cheaper motels and we kindly told staff the next day that our TV never turned on. I have never been charged for normal motel wear before and please only consider staying here if you don't want to shower, use the towels, watch TV, or be alerted if there was a fire.

Response from Darlene Kia, General Manager at Delano Motel & RV Park
Responded Mar 28, 2023
Hello Grace, You originally made the reservation for 2 Adults and brought 4 guests. Our bath tubs are cleaned and checked to drain well each cleaning. We have put a misconduct report into Booking.com for how much damage was done. The carpet was soaked and we couldn't rent that room for another day. Everything white had pink and orange on it. Duvets, the whole 4 sets of towels, and sheets. It took many hours to soak and scrub the stains out. This is not normal wear and tear at a motel. All our bathrooms have windows you can open and floors are cement and even. No communication was made that evening for the shower or tv not working. We have other alarms for fires. We tried to contact you concerning the damage charges. Your phone rang about three times and said your voice message hasn't been set up. We understand you choose to celebrate a birthday party here. We have never had someone leave a room in this awful state before. If you want to take advantage of a kind staff and leave the room in this state it will cost. This is very disrespectful. Maybe learning from this can help you, The DeLano Motel Staff

Omigosh, this place is the best! So caring, friendly and helpful! And the rooms are CLEAN! Prices are about $60 per night less than competitors, too. I’m gonna try & stay there every road trip. May I suggest that you do the same!

What a special and quaint little place. I will always remember our overnight stay at this wonderfully cozy snow covered establishment. We were treated with great courtesy by both the owner and staff throughout our stay. The sweetest young lady, "Shamia" kindly greated us as we arrived late in the evening after a long drive from So. Calif. She asked if we had eaten and offered us snacks and beverages and helped us get settled into our lovely cozy room. It was large with two large queen beds and as I had requested, it included an oversized recliner and extra blanket. The room was immaculately clean and wonderfully warm which was so welcoming after coming inside from the light dusting of snow outside. We enjoyed a large cable television throughout the evening and were taken back in time while experiencing an adorable 1950's style motor court bathroom, spotlessly clean, warm and bright. I believe our visit to that adorable motel was a highlight of our round trip, so much that on our return trip we actually stopped there again for a second stay! You absolutely can expect professionalism and over the top kindness from the owners! Reasonably-priced in a small town country setting! A little off the highway, but so very worth it. And if you appreciate absolute silent nights, this is the place! Happy travels.

This was the cleanest motel we stayed in on our trip. The owner is also very friendly and helpful, bringing us ice and giving us home baked cookies. It was very quiet too. We will definitely stay here again if we come this way in the future. We also had a great meal at Beaver Taco which the owner referred us to also.

We had a trailer in the RV park for a while. At first everything seemed ok. The owner can get enraged at the smallest things, and fly into an obsenity laced, screaming fit. We asked him if we could move our rent from the first of the month to the end, he said sure. We paid him $150 for what he said would be the gap. When I went in on the agreed day his wife told me I was 2 weeks late, I explained what me and her husband talked about and she said we couldn't do that. They kept the $150 for "late fees" and "daily charge" and we had to pay the full rent anyway! They messed with the water in our trailer when we weren't there, I would turn it off if we were gone for a while. He turned it back on and flooded a brand new trailer. Be wary of this place!
