The rooms have been completely revamped! New beds, new bathrooms, new decor!
Pros:
The bathrooms have heaters!
The shower is great!
The towels are fluffy!
There is an electric kettle for heating water which means I do not end up with coffee grounds in my tea water.
There is a beautifully manicured walking trail around the property.

Cons:
The AC unit sounds like a creaking door when it turns off.
Watch the edge of the bed! It likes to beat up your shins and toes.

We had a very comfortable and peaceful stay at this property. The rooms were spacious and the bed comfortable. Rooms were well appointed with nice furniture and amenities. The rain shower in the bathroom was specially soothing after a full day of sightseeing. The property itself was well landscaped with picnic locations.
Carla and Ben were very helpful and friendly and made sure that our needs were taken care of promptly.
Our rooms were a little noisy due to traffic on the road fronting the property. That’s the only complaint we had. Otherwise everything was great. We will probably return here to enjoy the beautiful hill country again.

My husband and I stayed over Memorial Day weekend and had an excellent stay. The service was amazing the price of the room was really good and the location in proximity to downtown was unbeatable. We plan to visit in the future!

My husband and I reserved Room #1 the weekend of August 7th, for two nights. We woke early after the first night and left for good. The room was extremely filthy. Some of the issues we had and why we could not stay for our second night: There were dead gnats all over the lamp (near on/off switch on the nightstand, the bottom of the nightstand was full of dust and a very dirty hair dryer. The bathroom floor was dirty as well as the entire top of the tub, (hair, dust) including a plastic piece of trash belonging to someone else that was there when we arrived. Proving a thorough cleaning had not been done prior to our arrival. I cleaned high touch point surfaces ( door handles, light switches, remote, etc) with Clorox wipes and was disgusted to find the wipes dirty. Especially at a time like now, during a Covid pandemic we expected a clean environment. We didn’t feel safe staying at the Wimberley Inn, and simply up and left. We wish we had left at 11pm the night we arrived, instead of forcing ourselves to stay to get a little bit of sleep. We both woke with red eyes and congestion. We expected a quaint little Inn, dated but safe and clean. What we encountered was absolute filth and felt extremely unsafe after morning hours came and realized the level of filth of our room we had stayed in. I'm perplexed with other reviews for this location. We booked our room based off these reviews. Could we possibly have been given a room no one had stayed in for months?
I left a message with the answering service the morning we left, and sent an email to the Wimberleyinn@gmail.com address. I called back a second time and was asked to forward my original email to hillcountrypremierlodging@gmail.com, which I did immediately and I've still yet to hear back from anyone. We are still in a bit of shock at the dirtiness we encountered, and hope to prevent anyone else from reserving a stay with the Wimberley Inn.

My husband and I had a one-night getaway here as a birthday/baby-moon retreat. I'm so glad we chose The Wimberley Inn + Bar. Immediately upon arriving we were wowed by how serene and modern the grounds felt. Ben, their manager, was able to give us a tour and showed us the luxurious-looking pool & burger hut, quaint library, cozy bar, and finally inside our peaceful room.

The grounds are gorgeous... old trees strung up with lights are everywhere you turn. Each building and our room were decorated beautifully, and the amenities are super thoughtful (handmade bars of soap! Soft waffle robes! Water in a glass instead of plastic bottles!)

The service is fantastic. It seems like everyone is super happy working here, which lifted our mood as guests. Ben was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave us many great recommendations of where to hike & the best shops to check out in town.

We stopped in at the bar for dinner and enjoyed their Inn Burger (perfect combo of sweet & savory).

10/10, Will definitely return — we're also crossing our fingers for day passes to their pool to become an offering!! Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

Expensive for a dark, dreary and drab room. Due to fact we booked late we had to complete a rental form agreement on line plus send copy of driving license for identification. Haven’t gone through palava this for 5 star hotels never mind a grotty, dirty shack.
The room was very dated and smelled musty, the pillows smelled musty too. The bed cover was one which wasn’t changed for each guest and left a lot to be desired. Carpets were stained in places. It was just a horrible experience. We both hesitated actually staying but it was late and we had little choice but certainly wouldn’t recommend it. It needs a total overall, fresh paint and modern furniture and definitely new bed linen. We left as soon as we could never to return.

This remodeled resort style inn has brought "Modern urban style to the Hill Country Cabin". Bar/Restaurant has great food, amenities and grounds are beautiful to explore. Pet friendly with pet stations! From our first contact with staff to the initial "drive up" of Wimberley Inn was a 5 STAR top experience.

Very cute inn for as low as $85 for the night. I liked the coffee machine in the room - not many places have that these days. I liked the fresh towels and the cute soaps and shampoos. The bed was comfortable and the desk for my laptop as well as the television with all the main channels was great. very spacious and high ceiling. love the air conditioner! very strong! in these hot texas days when it’s sweltering, the air con is a god send and the nearby ice machine is super. fridge in the room and free wifi is a huge plus. i would come back again!

Quaint and charming boutique hotel very close to the town square. Cozy with nice outdoor seating in a lovely wooded area. Fun modern decor in our room. Plush bedding. Dog friendly. Had a wonderful meal and drinks at the onsite restaurant. The pimento burger exceeded my expectations! My husband forgot his ipad in our room and they promptly mailed it to us. Very grateful to Erika who found it and for promptly mailing it back to us. Top notch people! We will be back! Thank you for a memorable stay!

My daughter was just married in Wimberley and we booked almost all of the Inn for family and friends for the weekend. Rooms are perfect: spacious, well decorated, comfy beds, toiletries, etc! Beautiful outdoor seating and Ben was a very friendly innkeeper who attended to all our requests. Newly remodeled, this inn is within walking distance to town. The pool, under construction and the expanded bar and soon-to-be added breakfast options make this a destination stopover for your next visit to charming Wimberley!

how long does it take to walk to square
Answer from
Wimberley, Texas1 helpful vote
I walk it all the time. It is about 1/2 mile so only takes a few minutes. Even though the first block is along Rt 12, it has a large shoulder and a grassy area to walk on. Plus the shops begin really just around the corner from us, so you have entertainment the whole way!

Thank you for inquiring about rooms at the Wimberley Inn for the Thanksgiving weekend. At this time all of our rooms have been blocked for a wedding party. We will release any rooms that have not been individually booked by October 15, 2015. Sorry, we do not allow guest's pets on the property.
