Pool and hot tub were not working. No way to contact anyone. Stayed here before and had a positive experience. Looking forward to relaxing in the pool and hot tub after dinner and no lights, power nor did turning on the hot tub control work. Very disappointed we can’t reach anyone!!!

I am really sorry that you experienced issues, but the property manager did call you back as well as the pool guy came first thing this morning (you probably saw him). Unfortunately, another guest pulled the emergency shut off switch at the pool and caused the power to turn off last night between 8:00-8:30pm. The pool, hot tub, and pool lights all work, but every once in a while this happens when a guest opens the box that says "EMERGENCY ONLY" and hits the switch. I apologize that our pool guy couldn't come last night, but it was Friday night and he was with his family. I wish we could have done more to assist, and I know Andrea has done her best to compensate you for the situation.

The hotel itself had nice rooms and a great location and was similar to an Air B&B stay experience. I didn't mind not having someone on-site to check in. However, there is no way to reach someone after hours. There was a wedding party staying at the hotel and they stayed at the pool way after hours and were quite loud and left a lot of trash. We let that go as the A/C and fan kind of covered the noise. But then they got way too drunk and tried to get into our room probably thinking it was theirs. I called the only number the hotel had available and left a message. I could/should have called the police to remove the drunk people from trying to get into our room, I just did not want to be up half the night filing a report and making a statement. The biggest disappointment is there is no one to contact after hours and they didn't even call back the next day to follow up or resolve our issue. I had to call them and alert them to the problem with the other guests and the fact that I left a voice mail and email that both were not returned. They did not initially offer anything to us for the situation and kind of tried to put it back on us as "well, you should have asked them to be quiet or you should have called the police." Sorry, I'm not confronting a drunk wedding party. If we would have had a major problem with the room like flooding, non-working A/C, etc. it would have been the same: no one to contact for assistance. The property did give a partial refund after I asked for it and I consider the issue resolved, I just felt the level of customer service was not acceptable for the room rate and property.

I am glad you enjoyed the room and location. We have staff on-site daily, as you may have noticed, but we operate a contactless environment for everybody's safety. We can't really control other guests, so I apologize that it impacted your stay. We compensated you accordingly, and were in receipt of your messages in real-time. We communicated with you, but you were not content that we would not come on-site to talk to the other guests (we didn't need to as we have their phone numbers). We also have an emergency line that you didn't use. Bottom line, I am sorry you didn't enjoy a 5-star experience, but there are some things we simply cannot control. Further, you made assumptions that we would not have replied if there was an emergency, and that is simply not true. Not trying to argue, but want to be clear. I hope you will come back for another visit when it isn't so busy with an event. We will make sure to go the extra mile.

This time I got 4 rooms for by in-laws' 50th anniversary. It was all advertised and more. This boutique hotel was quiet, comfortable, and conducive for family. We watched movies, played games, and sat in the hot tub/jacuzzi. I had restful nights and great days. All of our party was either 16 or greater. This is the place where I wrote the majority of my doctoral dissertation. The courtyard allows for a writing atmosphere. I have gone to this hotel more times than I can count, and I will continue going back. Plus, added bonus, you get breakfast at the Sugar Shack for the mornings you are there. Downtown Wimberley is only a 10 minute walk.

Cute rooms. Great location. 1. Advertised Hbo, couldn’t find it. 2. Fridge ice melting onto shelves. Asked them, they said it freezes and then defrost, and will start over. Husband said it won’t shut completely, the seal is bad. Food put In there was not cold the next day. 3 hot tub doesn’t work. Asked and they said it works, jets are too small so they leave them on. It was hot but essentially it is a hot bathtub with no moving water. 4. Grass not mowed the first night so mosquitos. They are mowing it now, 7:50pm. 5. The real reason I am leaving a review, the experiences you can purchase from them. I purchased the wine tasting. It was wine tasting and meat and cheese plate for 31.00. I needed two for two adults, so I paid $62. There is no indication as to where the tasting is. They put a voucher on the table for you when you arrive. We go to the place…we get our 5 tastings each and one meat plate. Math wise, you wonder how that works, I bought two for the same price experiences but one didn’t get a plate? But it gets better. The prices had I walked in $11 each for wine tasting and the two meat tray $11. Had I purchased as a walk in $33 for two people. I paid 62…someone made a $29 profit as a middle man. This seems excessive. We won’t come back just because the cost for the quality is not there.

Billie Jo, First of all, thank you for choosing to stay with us in Wimberley. We are thrilled to know that you liked the rooms and fantastic location on River Road. I am sorry you couldn't find the HBO, and it sounds like your refrigerator was the one we replaced. I apologize that it failed during your stay, but it was immediately rectified. As far as the grass, we have a weekly service. I am sorry that they came at an inconvenient time for you. With all due respect, you are a bit confused on the wine tasting. To clarify, I think you misread the description as it clearly states that 1 food and wine tasting coupon is valid for 2 people. You ordered 2 coupons for 4 people. The location is provided on the voucher, which is how you got there, and your profit calculation is flawed due to ordering 2 instead of 1. Regardless, we are sorry that you did not have a 5-star experience. Please come back and we will make it up to you.

This is a great place to stay in town... we decided to stay here at the last moment and glad we did. The rooms are great, has everything you need and just a relaxing stay. Ended up enjoying a glass of wine outside... was not busy during the week, but I understand the weekends are different. If you are looking for a decent place in town, hard to beat... right in the middle of hill country.
