Stayed here with my daughter and grandkids. This place has good bones but needs some TLC. The cafe is excellent and service exceptional. The cabin was clean and everything worked just fine. There were places in the floor that were soft like they were about to be holes. Furniture was showing it’s age but still comfortable. The pool was clean, got a little crowded after dinner. The place could use some landscaping, weeds and stickers made walking in sandals a no go for S place has a ton of potential. If you are looking for a no frills weekend getaway this is the place for you. If you are looking for fast wifi and luxury sheets not so much.
we have stayed here a few times. this place is amazing for families with kids and pets! all 4 of my kids have fun every time we have been there, the pool is awesome, the view is amazing and you can walk down to the dock and play by the water. it isnt an updated place, but i mean i do have 4 kids.... this is the kind of place that you can let your kids be kids and just have fun. i love this place and the cafe!
My husband and I had to stay for two nights and the room was really in bad condition. The sheets didn't look clean, the shower was hard to do because all you get is hot water and now telling how to adjust water pressure either. Heater/Air conditioning took us one night to figure out that the remote control didn't work and that we had to do it manually. No service room was done and had to request clean towels and to have the bathroom cleaned up. Furniture is worn out as anything else in the bedroom and felty carpet as well. Guess what? It cost us $100/night. The worst of my experiences in a hotel.
We had lunch here on Sunday after church. We had 16 at our table. The waitress was very good at taking care of us. I had the steak fingers and fries. The portions were generous. The fries were freshly cut potatoes. I had enough food to take home for dinner. My wife had a Moo burger and fries. She said it was good.
I visited this resort and had breakfast then decided to bring my R.V out for 30 days. I paid for the full 30 days at that time. The next day Saturday, I had to take my RV to the shop because of electrical problems. Tried to call Mark the manager, no answer. Called on Monday morning, and told him I have to cancel because RV is in shop. He agreed to refund the full payment I made for the 30 days. I noticed the next month the charges were not reversed. I called again, and Mark assured me that he just forgot, and would do it right away. Two months later, same thing. I told Mark that this was his last chance to avoid bad reviews, and I would dispute with American Express. He once again assured me that he would fix it and refund me. Now it is Jan , almost 3 full months later. He doesn't do what he said he would do.…
