Camped at Lone Star Jellystone this past weekend for a getaway weekend for for my wife who had been working from home for the last month. Didn’t plan on using any of the emenities they were all closed anyway. The only thing that was open was the park store They did the social distancing well there was a space open between all of the campers. There was only probably maybe 20 campers in the whole park They just charged us for the camping fee the didn’t charge the daily use fees. We are Good Sam members but they did not honor the discount due giving us a break on the daily use fees I really appreciated Jellystone being there for us so we can just get away only if it was for couple of days We have another reservation in July with the Grandchildren hopefully this has all past and everything will somewhat back to normal

Our family had a good time but feel a bit ripped off. One of our party departed the second day of our visit, and another arrived at the same time. The first one had an armband paid for four more days, but Jellystone made us buy a new four-day armband for the new person, instead of using the one we already paid for for the departing person.

Such a great place! We have been staying at Jellystone every summer for the last 4 years and have not had a bad experience. Water park is lots of fun! Also has mini golf, craft time and movie at night. Highly recommend.

We stayed two nights in Yogi Bear in the Pines cabin #408, August 2019. This was our first visit to any Jellystone park & we had a good time. There were a lot of events/activities for the kids (ages 5-11). We played mini golf, visited the arcade (the most fun looking games were out of order but my kids still enjoyed the ones that worked), painted ceramics, fished (bring your own gear), attended movie nights & other events, played on the climbing structure, and of course the pools/slides. My oldest loved the gaga ball pit & there were always a bunch of kids playing. Wish the pool opened earlier than 11 in the summer but I guess it was nice having a lazy morning too. If you want a table, shade or the good spots people line up before the pool even opens but even not doing that we always managed to find a chair somewhere to set our stuff on. We rented a golf cart (min $80/day & we reserved ahead of time) which I wouldn't consider a necessity but it sure was nice and convenient to get around toting a cooler, pool towels & the kids. It was much easier/faster to get around than walking of course but also driving a vehicle since you're navigating around people walking, riding bikes/scooters & driving carts. We stayed over a weekend & it was crowded enough that I wouldn't just let my kids walk from our cabin to the playground by themselves. Once we were in the playground area I felt comfortable with them wandering to the movie area, gaga ball pit and bathrooms though. I saw a ton of kids on their own & they can be a bit of a hazard on their bikes so you really have to watch out. On more than one occasion a kid nearly ran head on into our golf cart while riding a bike & looking everywhere except in front of them. Our cabin was really nice. It stayed cool, even in the loft area. The main bed was comfortable & the bathroom was small but functional. We enjoyed the screened in porch. We had family who stayed in a boo boo bear cabin with no running water. They were very close to the playground area which was convenient...we hung out around their fire ring one evening while the kids attended the movie. Their cabin was nice if you're fine with using the community bathroom & showers. For us, the extra $ was well worth it for the YB in the pines with a full kitchen & bathroom. There is a store on the grounds that had pretty much anything you might need and the prices weren't terrible. I didn't see anything while there that seemed dirty. It was a nice family place. Things to bring/note: glow stuff & flashlights for after dark, quarters or cash for the arcade (there was a change machine), pool towels, sunblock, life jackets if needed, linens w/ pillow cases (they provided plenty of pillows, toilet paper & paper towels. there were mattress protectors on the sofa bed & main bed. We had a plastic table & chairs on the porch as well as a broom & dustpan), bath mat, popcorn for movie nights, small cooler for toting drinks/snacks to the pool or play areas, folding chairs if you want to hang out around the fire ring, fish or use them for the movies (there are metal bleachers & most of the kids sit on a platform in front of the screen. you can also park your golf cart & sit there), coffee and filters for the coffee pot. Call before you go to find out if they are having any special events while you're there...when we were there they had an event where the little girls could wear their princess dresses.
