Detailed Reviews
Our family had a good time but feel a bit ripped off. One of our party departed the second day of our visit, and another arrived at the same time. The first one had an armband paid for four more days, but Jellystone made us buy a new four-day armband for the new person, instead of using the one we already paid for for the departing person.

Camped at Lone Star Jellystone this past weekend for a getaway weekend for for my wife who had been working from home for the last month.
Didn’t plan on using any of the emenities they were all closed anyway. The only thing that was open was the park store
They did the social distancing well there was a space open between all of the campers. There was only probably maybe 20 campers in the whole park
They just charged us for the camping fee the didn’t charge the daily use fees. We are Good Sam members but they did not honor the discount due giving us a break on the daily use fees
I really appreciated Jellystone being there for us so we can just get away only if it was for couple of days
We have another reservation in July with the Grandchildren hopefully this has all past and everything will somewhat back to normal

This place is super packed in summer so be prepared for that. RV spots are also very close together and hard to get in and out of. It was clean on the RV side and pool was pretty clean but it’s old. I can imagine they rake in quite a bit of cash with how full and pricey it is compared to other RV places, but they do have the water park which is included. I just would hope they would spend some money on updating. We did enjoy the candy bar bingo and the sightings of the bears. Also the mini golf included was great as well. For water parks though I would go somewhere else.

They should be ashamed of themselves for the dirty cabin they let us stay in. I wiped down as much as I could but still felt like staying there was a health hazard. The wipes I used for the stair handle turned black, there were nasty stains on the fabric couch, layers of dust and dirt under the bed and couch and on top of the cabinets you can see from the loft area, staine pillows, nasty green colored stained and worn carpet in the loft. I laid out the mattress protectors they provided on top of the carpet because it was disgusting, the bed was old and tattered and sunken in and I dared not lift the mattress cover to see what lay under there. The old school air conditioning filter that was located on the floor!!! looked like it was caked with dust and dirt also. The tiny table was broken and stained as well as the folding breakfast chairs. At over $200/night this is unacceptable. Unacceptable in any matter. We actually ended up leaving a day early because my son started to feel ill and ended up having a sinus infection likely from the filth and dust. Especially in these times of COVID, there should be even greater cleaning measures in place to keep guest healthy. That is clearly not happening at this park. The website says they are taking extra measures to keep things sanitized and safe and I didn’t see anyone cleaning chairs at the pool area, Putt putt supplies, or anyone for that matter cleaning anything around the park. The public bathrooms were disgusting. The arcade was dirty and none of the games were functioning except for a claw machine that had old gross candy in it and a quarter drop machine. This is so very sad and actually infuriating. Additionally, no one is social distancing or wearing masks at all in the indoor areas or otherwise! We felt super unsafe here and felt that staying in the cabin was a huge health hazard.

We booked a 3 night stay on a cross country trip. Our reservation was for a “preferred premium site”. The website offers beautiful amenities with add-one like golf cart rentals. Upon arrival we were told NO GOLF CARTS ALLOWED. They rent golf carts but you are not allowed to use a personally owned golf cart. We were told we could not even unload the golf cart. This made our stay impossible since our toy hauler garage is where the kids beds are. Fortunately before leaving we were able to tour our scheduled site so that we could give everyone else a fair warning. The premium preferred RV site was an unlevel mud hole with a washed out gravel pad. Had we been able to stay with our golf cart we would not have been able to camp there anyway given the conditions of the ground. The area in which we had to park our rig to use our stabilizer jacks would have put the water and electric connections too far away to reach with a combination of hoses. We did return to the office to inform them we were not going to use our reservation. Carol was nice enough to tell us that she would look into a refund and call us. Two days later after no call we contacted her to find out they would not give us any money back because she said “we tried to offer you another spot and accommodate you and you did not want it”. The intent of this review is just to let everyone else know to set your expectations low if you plan to visit jelly stone in Waller. We were looking forward to trying a few of these parks as we travel but this has set the bar pretty low. Also, due to the ongoing construction, none of the amenities are open with the exception of the Putt Putt golf.

Hi there, we are sorry to hear your experience didn't meet your expectations. We do have listed on our website that personal golf carts are not allowed in our park, but we understand how frustrating that can be. Furthermore, some of our amenities have been closed due to construction which we have listed on our website as we try to be as transparent as possible with our guests. We hope you will join us in the future when construction is finished!

Slippery algae on the poorly maintained mini golf course. BS rules like $30 to guarantee your spot, not allowing your own golf cart do you must rent theirs, charge for peddle boats. Poorly organized/led events. RV Spots are small! Trashy looking full time/employee RVs in guest area. No way will I trust their life guards when the water park opens or their ability to maintain the water properly for a couple years. Under new ownership so I’ll give them a couple years to figure stuff out.

Don't stay in this place. Go there only if you have nowhere else to go, and even then you'll be better off going to a movie, but do what you do, DONT STAY OVERNIGHT. This experience was simply disappointing. First they boosted those prices of their cabins like you were in a Marriott, and the first we saw when getting there is that they say these cabins are for 8!!! 4 Adults and 4 Kids and that is the first lie and misleading info. You will have a queen bed that fits 2 adults a Sofa Bed so bad, but so bad that it just feels bad to have to sleep on it, it was in the worst shape you can imagine, (I've seen better furniture out on the streets abandoned, c'mon people be serious, buy a new one). The personnel are all in a bad mood so not very friendly to be dealing with them, as if they were underpaid and overworked. The clients who pay for the park&stay deserve a little courtesy. We were told the cabin in the pool was for rent and when we walked to rent it, we were then told it was under renovations and it was not for rent. (if that is the case then don't be telling people that it is for rent!!), put up a sign or something but don't aggravate your guests like that.

It is pricey!! $295 a night is a lot for 2 people!!
Price seems especially high considering you have to provide your own sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels.
Not to mention having to pay $27 per person per night for FOUR additional people, even though the room says it accommodates 8!!
I truly don't understand why you have a cabin that is set up for 8 people, but the price only includes 2 people!!! Ridiculous!
A lot of the activities, "magic pumpkin seeds", ceramics, painting, etc. are an additional cost.
It is very fun!! They have scheduled activities throughout the day that make it easy to plan your day. We go in Oct. for the Halloween festivities and it is always fun! We love the candy bar bingo and trick or treating.
Golf cart rentals are a must, so much fun to zip around the park.😉

Have visited here the last 4 summers with few or no problems. This past visit will be our last- has gone downhill. Rented 2 cabins and check in was a hot mess. Teen workers either HIGH or just acting like it. Poor life guarding, activities running late for start times & unorganized, several rude adult workers who are probably just burned out & frustrated with new management. Good communication starts at the top and as customers, we could tell it is lacking. This property needs some work, both physically & organizationally. Pros- golf cart parade still a fun event, train ride(when it actually ran- cancelled 2 days we were there)

We hauled down for a long weekend of fun with kids. Travel in first weekend in December 2020. We knew no swimming but felt other amenities should entertain kiddos. Park was a very tight fit for large RV's many sites not even accessible for big rigs either too short of space or tree limbs too low. Then for a 80% empty park, (multiple permanent Rv's) we asked for a concrete pad (tiny) upgrade from the gravel site, they up charged us $6 a night. It rained, although we had planned on one day of rain so no worries but the park flooded in most every spot. Thank goodness we "up graded" to concrete. Putt putt golf stayed flooded for days. Playground was never open not even on a sunny day. Fishing was lame, tiny perch was all that was hitting a line. Park felt old and unkept. We went to do the kids craft which with nothing else to entertain them was necessary but yet again you had to pay! You would think with everything else useless in the park they would waive the craft fee. I had been told the manager would like to come talk to us when I strongly expressed my disappointment but no one ever dropped by our site. My advise is even in summer stay away from this tired Jellystone park there are better parks out there.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback we appreciate you taking the time to leave us suggestions. We are sorry that you were frustrated with our sites - we are currently in the process of making upgrades to our RV Sites, which is also why the concrete sites are a higher rate because they are significantly more expensive to create and maintain. While the rain is very unfortunate, it is sadly out of our control what happens with the weather but we understand the frustration about attractions being un-usable. If you would still like to speak with someone please do not hesitate to reach out.
