We arrived at the Hilton for our already late in the day 4 pm checkin and found a packed lobby full of angry people who could not get in their rooms. We joined them quickly. We were told they did not have enough maids to clean rooms and could not tell us when we could checkin. we were due at a formal dinner we were in charge of at 7 and had a 2 month old baby with us.In the lobby the other refugees were a reunion of a Baylor University sorority and baseball team there to play Baylor.Im talking at least 40 women and 40 baseball players and their staff just standing because there was no place to sit and fuming as we were too.We waited over an hour and nothing changed. We finally changed in the car like hobos and fed and changed the poor infant on the floor.Shame on this hotel for its obvious overbooking and lack of preplanning for such a busy time.Obviously we will never spend our money here again and do not recommend anyone else does either.Followup:we got the text our room was ready at 7:45 pm when we were in the middle of the event we were there for and had to handle chaotically thanks to Hilton Waco.…
Lovely stay in corner king room with view of Brazos River. Pool was great, lots of breeze and shade so we weren’t cooking in the hot summer temps. Breakfast was expensive and the only time the restaurant was open due to COVID but plenty of other places to eat within walking distance.
It is a good hotel, has the best accessibility, the rooms are clean and we rested really good on the bed. Thank you for your service. I recommend the service and the rooms, the employments worked really hard.
I have been a regular at the Hilton Waco for the past 4 years. I thought it was time I shared why this is my Hotel of choice in Waco. I am a Diamond Honors member and the benefits of that program at this hotel are a big factor in my loyalty. The rooms are nice and clean and provide most all that I need. ( I do wish they would add microwave ovens.) I prefer to stay on the 11th floor even though the lounge is no longer open. I think it is quieter on the top floor and I prefer a glass shower door to the shower curtain option which is the norm on every other floor. I have been staying at the hotel long enough that I often find I am assigned a room on that floor without asking and I appreciate that consideration. I like the fact that they never fail to give me a voucher for breakfast and the breakfast fare is first rate (I highly recommend that omelets). Most of all I like the staff and the fact that they go the extra step to make sure I know they appreciate my business. The location of the hotel makes food options easy as there are a number of good restaurants right across the street. I also like the convenience of using the HH app to keep track of my stays and check in and out of my room.…
With this being the premier Conference Center in Waco, I was expecting more from the Hilton brand. The rooms for lower brand Hilton properties are more modern and up to date. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH OUR STAY!
This Hilton is in a nice location next to the Brazos River in downtown Waco. We have stayed there for many years once a year and it has always been clean, safe feeling, etc. This is a business trip but some of us only see each other once a year on this trip, so we stay on the executive floor with a lounge for socializing with those we only see here. One pays extra for the executive floor. Upon making our reservation, we were not informed the lounge was closed, so we only are told of this at check - in. So all of us paid extra for an amenity which was permanently closed - definitely should have been told this when making the reservation (did so directly with the property). We were not informed of the change nor offered a room at the regular rate. The hotel had always been a nice place to stay, but this really was a big oversight, and not offered an adjustment for something we had paid extra for for years. For those of you not affected by this, it is a very nice place to stay.…
This hotel is awful. The staff couldn't care about their guests any less. The rooms are super noisy. The hot water barely works in the morning. The breakfast food is absolutely gross. The only thing good about this hotel is that they had a free charger for my Tesla...but I definitely wont stay at this dump again.
We were in town for Grand Lodge. Everyone was helpful. The young front desk help was especially helpful getting my boots to the shoe shine man because I left for the day before he arrived. Breakfast was good and the room was clean.
This hotel is very convenient to the Waco Convention Center, with good prices and everything we need. The staff members did a great job carrying on through the Covid crisis. I look forward to returning next year.
Everything was clean and staff was amazing , within walking distance to many places we wanted to see, Magnolia, Dr Pepper Museum, river, we walked everywhere we went, staff was very helpful with directions
