Very friendly staff, love wading ing the river, nice place to fish very clean, a home 🏠 away from home. We will definitely be back. We tried camping out the first night showed up an it was pitch dark, didn't work out too hot and the bugs were crazy, I think next time a cabin for sure. But during the... More

I am glad you enjoyed it no matter how brief. Looking forward to your next visit. Did you see the white deer while you were hiking down in the woods? More

We had originally booked another RV park and it turned out to be unsafe and had not amenities. So when I called the wonderful woman who answered gave us a discount and provided her last spot for the night. We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled in. The park despite all the rain was still very clean and well maintained.... More

Kimberly, glad you were able to walk in the woods. Lots of little critters to see down there. Please feel free to put some pictures up if you see any raccoons or such. More

Id like to start this review with, the campground is gorgeous, my boys had a great time fishing and playing on the rope swing at the river and the people were very nice and would stay there again maybe in a cabin or if I had a camper. Im not going to get into a bunch of details but there... More

Sorry you did not know about the trains, some times it can be more noisy than others. We were disappointed when the train operation was put in because it was supposed to have been the location for Texas A&M, San Antonio which would have made a much better neighbor. Having raised 2 teen boys, I know what you are talking... More

The sites are large and easy to pull through. We had arrived after office hours yet the staff was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. They are also involved in the Tents for Troops program and that saved us some money on our cross country journey. The prices were decent for the size of the park, the sites, and the hook... More

Alamo River Ranch Resort: Dog & horse friendly. Large camp sites. Not much shade in the upper RV sites. There are more sites down a steep hill & around by the river but please note, it can be muddy & wet so please use caution when driving off the drive path. Even parts of the drive path can be a... Thank you for all the time you took to review our park. I am the person you spoke to and we have indeed redone the showers. Sorry you thought I "brushed it off laughingly" but maybe I was thinking of the upcoming expense that we had coming ($8,000.00) The tile had been put in when the building was finished and... More

This was a great place to camp! We had plenty of space in our 40 foot 5th wheel. The top of the park is the RV section, but we really enjoyed walking down to the river, wading, and walking around the trails. We thoroughly enjoyed petting the horses, feeding the cows, and the owner even brought over a chicken for... More

Thank you for taking the time to tell us how your stay went. San Antonio is a real fun city and since we are so close to Lackland AFB were 800 cadets graduate each week from basic training we get lots of folks from all over the country visiting for the first time. Glad you had a fun time. More

This is a wonderful RV Park with horse facilities close to San Antonio. Nice roomy pasture or paddock layout. Friendly staff, clean shower room and brand new laundry machines. The riding is limited to around two hours mostly woods with some open space. Easy and very safe riding. Camping and RV spaces well spaced. Stayed for month and looking forward... More

Glad you enjoyed your visit. I can tell you since you were here we have become a "Horse Motel" with two Cowboy Campsites down on the river bottom. Each site has it's own horse pen in the shade and we have 4 horse stalls with shade, feed bin and water. Nice sandy ground and we are working on putting in... More
