For the last three years my family and I have had the privilege of vacationing at Jellystone at Whispering Pines. With a family of 5 it's hard to find somewhere that offers activities that we can all enjoy but this location provides just that plus more! From ages 3 to 36 we all find things we enjoy like the jumping pillow, tie dye, fishing, movies. We always have the best time and look forward to each year back. The staff is always so kind and always have a smile on their face. I highly recommend this place for your next vacation spot

We were scheduled for a Christmas celebration at Jellystone in 2022 after an incredible Christmas in 2023. Due to inclement weather some of our original cabins were unavailable, so they offered to let us reschedule for the following week. Unfortunately, many in our family were already on the road and did not have the option to postpone. They found cabins that were in working order - electricity and running water - and upgraded us to a family cabin and whatever other cabins were functional. The renovations they are making are very extensive but I can been informed of this in advance. The entire staff was so helpful and answered all our questions and helped us out several times. The kids enjoyed the areas that were available like the jumping pillow and the sport courts and the adults were happy to have functioning cabins. The weather warmed up and by the end of our stay it was warm enough to be outside more and to use all the cabin facilities. Hats off to Dakota and Justin for their patience and for going above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable in spite of the weather. We will be back!

3rd time back with our grandson (5 years old this year). Stayed in our 32' RV. Sites were shaded (mostly) and all went well with the RV site.

People here are fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. The park just upgraded the spash pad/slide pool, the 3 1/2' deep regular pool, cafe at the pool area, and the store. Had some growing pains but nothing worth mentioning. Our 5 year old and us grandparents had a great time. New slide pool is really nice. Kids loved it. Activities get crowded on Saturdays but easy to get to during the weekdays.

Special shout out to Ian Triqueiro (spelling may be off) who is a young man working the park activities. Really fun to deal with, great personality, and very helpful. He remembered us from the last two years visits. He is a great example of the friendly/helpful/pleasant type of person that the park has to help the guests. We will be back for years to come.

We just recently stayed and we will not be back. Check in was not till 4 in the afternoon but 98% of the cabins were empty. They will not let you check in early. The cabin was nice, but they do not supply trash bags, toilet paper, or paper towels after you use what’s in there. You also have to rent sheets, covers, and towels for your cabin. When leaving the cabin you have to do ALL the cleaning yourself or they will charge you $100. They advertise fishing, they have 3 ponds, but you can’t get to any of them, and everything is so grown up around them. They advertise heated pools, and it was a little cooler outside than normal, but the water was freezing! We couldn’t enjoy the pool because it was so cold, even though they advertise on their site heated pools!
You have to pay for everything! This was the worst trip!

Hi there, thanks for your review and feedback and for providing us the opportunity to address some of your concerns. Firstly, we are happy to offer early check-in at no charge if we are able to accommodate, all we ask is that you call the day of or prior to arrival with enough notice. We apologize if there was any miscommunication on this. Regarding our cabins and supplies, we do supply basics for all our guests, but in the case there may not be enough, please never hesitate to ask for additional supplies during your stay. We are happy to provide free of charge. Additionally, we do not expect our guests to deep clean the cabin at the end of their stay, but do ask that as a courtesy you do your light cleaning, such as dishes and sweeping. If cabins are left in poor condition then we do charge a cleaning fee. We strive for our guests to enjoy all our attractions during their stay and are saddened to hear this was not the case. We have confirmed with our aquatics management team that their water readings reflect the accurate heated temps (85 degrees fahrenheit.) We also addressed your concerns regarding landscaping around ponds and fishing accessibility. There are multiple docks and our boardwalk to fish from, but we are actively working to make our other ponds more accessible. Thank you for this feedback. We do hope you'll give our beautiful park another chance

Absolutely the poorest run place I've ever camped at. The 1st day they closed the splash pad 2 hours early because they claim their employees all walked off the job. They aren't consistent on what dusk is. They closed the only open pool whenever they felt like it. 1 day it's 8pm one day it's 845pm. 1 unpleasant worker said "it's whenever I feel like it". They've since updated their info online because several groups had complained about this. Some days things like pickleball and basketball were locked up at 715pm. Workers claim they don't know how that happened but they control the locks. The golf course is covered in leaves and limbs. We unfortunately stayed 6 days and we saw nothing being cleaned or picked up the entire time. So I have my doubts the outdoor activities have been cleaned up in months. The shuffleboard features broken equipment and covered in sand, limbs, and leaves. The entire "resort" is one HUGE dirt pit so you should learn to enjoy eating dirt while here. We asked about the actual activities that were available like the mining and the hours and when we walked back to the area it was closed and no employee around. There is trash everywhere. Not like piled up but you will indeed find a can or a bottle or something every 10 feet. Also I counted 6 stray cats while there. Not sure on how many there actually are. 1 day every time I opened the RV door a stray tried to get in. A stray male cat urinated on our grill cover and our outdoor carpet at our door. While at the jump pillow one 1 occasion, because it's truly the only thing open most of the time close to hours stated, the orange cat sitting 1 foot from the pillow scratched 2 of my 3 kids on their arms. While strolling along the potentially pleasant walkway around the pond I noticed that several of their live street lamps had missing covers where the wires are. So watch your curious littles and don't allow them to reach into what should be covered and potentially be electrocuted by this overlooked safety concern. I'm sure they'll say it's part of their renovations and that what I saw was the white strings they had coming into the new light boxes but I know what I saw. When visiting with another couple with kids we both came to realize that the information posted online when we booked our stay said that all of the "activities" would be in operation the entire week we stayed there. They've since changed that information online. Thank goodness this place is well located because we spent much of our time at this "resort" outside of it's walls doing actual fun things. I'm not sure who owns and who operates this poor excuse of an RV "resort" but both should be replaced.

We had one of the newer pull through camp sites, #66 I believe. When we initially pulled in it appeared all of the connections were on the wrong side. A very nice camp employee told us we were supposed to pull in from the other direction which meant we would have take the road around the camp ground in under to pull in the right way. That would have been a nice bit of information to receive when we checked in. The camp site itself was pretty basic. There was a picnic table, a grill and a fire ring that appeared to be dropped off. The site sat in the sun pretty much all day which required us to keep all three air conditioners running. The lack of shade made it pretty uncomfortable to sit anywhere on the camp site during the day. As we walked around the campground I was amazed at all the features the older camp sites had. Nice covered sitting area, lights and shade. To me, it would seem fair to not have to pay for full price for a camp site that wasn’t completed. I realize they want to fill as many camp sites as possible, but our camp site was pretty basic for the amount we paid. If we ever stayed there again, I would try to stay in the already established camp sites and steer away from any of the newer sites.
The “Ranger Station” camp store was great. It had a nice variety of goods. Also had plenty of wood for sale. Employees were wonderful. Camp ground was clean and well maintained. The pool areas were crowded. The addition of another larger pool would really help out Also it would help to have a staff assigned to monitor the swimming pool to keep an eye on the unsupervised kids. Rules only work if there is someone to enforce them.
I believe this RV pork is great for families but not really the type of park for the older crowd. Although we will probably never stay there again, I do recommend it for families.

Hi there, thank for providing your feedback. We are sorry to hear your experience didn't match your expectations. We try to be as transparent as possible with our RV site types on our website and what they include. Our Premium Pull-Thru RV Sites are our basic sites where there is full hook-up, picnic table, grill, and fire pit as you mentioned. Our Diamond, Platinum, and Preferred Premium RV Sites are for guests looking for more than the basics which is what I believe you might have seen. I hope this helps. We do appreciate your review and hope you will consider staying at the Camp-Resort again.

We’re not strangers to campsites and have stayed in a lot of different cabins with different companies throughout Colorado and Texas. We’ve owned a pop up and a camper but enjoy the ease of staying in a cabin as well. We have never been in a cabin as dirty and disappointing as one of the efficiency cabins at Whispering Pines. We paid $200/night over 4th of July weekend. As everything else, the price seemed a little steep but it was a holiday weekend with a lot of activities and pools/slides, etc., so not really surprised. However, it was not at all worth the cost for this particular cabin. We came in late in the evening after traveling eight hours to find a floor that was so filthy, it was sticky, coffee stains on the counter, dusty and dirty dishes with hair on them, a Cheeto on the bunk bed, the queen bed was on the frame crooked, the bed where the pillows go were up against the dirty window with bugs and chipped up paint, dirty handprints on the bathroom door that had unfinished framing around it, on a busy corner with the tractor and trailer parked next to it, so many stickers and burrs around the cabin, I couldn’t take my dog out without him getting dozens of stickers on him each time, a handful of random utensils (some dirty) and a note that says you will be charged a $100 cleaning fee if it’s dirty when you leave along with a $25 cleaning fee for dirty dishes. We also had to pay for the linens. The linens are in a basket on the table when you arrive. So, with all this, I spent two hours cleaning and making three beds before I could unpack anything. I had to use Lysol wipes to try to clean the floor but it was still so dirty, my kids feet were black when they didn’t have shoes on.
If we were in a trailer/rv spot, our experience would likely have been much different. They do have nice spots, pergolas in the bigger sites, the pond was nice, they had fireworks over the pond, the pools and slides were great but lacking any shade around the slides or adult pool, the outdoor movie theater and nightly movies were really cool, the bouncy was fun and the staff was actually all very friendly. We did tell of our disappointment in cleanliness when we checked out and got a “thanks for letting us know.”

We have been about 5 times over the years, and every year it gets more and more expensive! I know it's been through updates, but for the prices charged now, to me, it's not worth it. The kids enjoyed the pool and movie night. I suggest getting a golf cart to help keep up with the kiddos!

This park was not what was advertised and was way overpriced. The nightly rate was what you would except from a resort. The campsite and roads were white gravel. We were visiting with other family so we wanted to be by them. We were charged $20 to guarantee a site. The activity charge was $70 per child. We waited in line 1 1/2 hours for the hay ride/pumpkin patch. We waited 1/2 an hour for the ice cream sundae for the children. All the events had long wait times as the same people were handling all the activities. We spoke with other campers and they said prices were way more than in the past. They also had indoor extension cords on the ground near a water event. We will not return.

We booked our trip because we thought for the price it should be nice. We were wrong! When we arrived, the driveway was completely backed up onto the highway because there wasn't enough room for RVs to park on the lot and allow for arrivals to go inside and check-in. When we finally checked in, we were instructed which direction to go, and after following the directions, as drawn on the map, we arrived to our site at the opposite direction. To park in the site, we had to move the picnic table and remove a trash bag. The site was over-grown with grass and weeds that were literally hip high. The site was so unlevel that it was 4 1/2 inches sloped side to side, with 4 1/2 inches lower on our campside (the 9 feet across the width of the RV, it was 4 1/2 inch difference which made the last step in and out of our RV extremely lengthy). The next morning, we were eating breakfast and noticed spiders and ants leading a trail from the grass/weeds to the RV. By the following day, we had spiders and ants all over the shell of the RV, and I had to wash our RV to get them off the sides and underneath before we left. Even the golf carts were out of control. There were so many golf carts roaming that we weren't able to really enjoy the grounds. Anytime we would try walking on the hiking trails, along came golf carts...on the hiking trails. I know the golf cart operation wouldn't necessarily be the fault of the park staff, but having so many at the park didn't help. When we would try and park at the ranger station, there wouldn't be any parking spaces because of all the golf carts. For the price of what we paid, we expected a better experience. Instead, what we got for our money was an unkept RV site, unkept grounds, so many golf carts it made driving or walking impossible, and a staff that didn't want to listen.

Our future trips won't include Jellystone as an option because of this experience.

Hi there, thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear your experience didn't match your expectations. Memorial Day Weekend is one of the busiest camping weekends of the year and our park had a lot of check-ins. Our team worked hard to expedite these as fast as possible, this takes a little bit of time and we are looking of ways to be even more efficient. Furthermore, we do apologize for any overgrown areas on your site. Our landscaping team works continuously to make our park the best it can be but with the excessive amount of rain, we have to work around mother nature! Similar to many campgrounds, we are in a wooded area where there are insects, we do try and spray our areas to take care of these. We ask our guests to give us a call if they see an increase of insects in their area so we can spray further. We are working on getting paths made for hiking trails as at the moment we have trails where golf carts are allowed passage. We really appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back.
