If you're headed to Big Bend National Park this is a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay. It is located south of Alpine, TX on Hwy 118. The rooms are extremely clean and have recently been updated, everything new, including memory foam mattresses, quality linens and towels (mini fridge and microwave on request). Maybe 15 - 20 minutes drive...

see below for this interesting experience, quoted from my complaint email to local hotel management authorities: I'd like to make a complaint about one of your member motel, Longhorn Ranch Motel of Terlingua, TX. I had a reservation of this hotel on Feb 15, 2015 and the booking was already confirmed a month ago by booking.com. However, when we arrived...

We had an interesting experience at the motel. We arrived a couple of minutes before 9pm and the restaurant was getting ready to close. We were starving so the owners made us up some queso, chips, salsa, and tortillas. We were amazed at the taste and quality of the food and knew we would have to come back to eat...

Our room was good. Nothing fancy for a small mom and pop run ranch, who by the way are really nice. they have a common kitchen in building three where I preped some lunches and dinners on days when I didn't want to bust out my camping gear. The Fridge is a little under performing or maybe I just got...

My family and friends LOVED it. We went with a group of friends (all have kids), and since there was no internet service, everyone spent time talking and enjoying each others company. We travel quite a bit, (New York, Florida, etc. ) and my kids (teenagers) still say this was their favorite vacation. They even positively commented on the simplicity...

The stay was great! The owners of hotel were friendly. It's off season, so nothing was mentioned about breakfast being included in the price. We left 2 days earlier so the price per night was raised by $20 a night. We flew into Midland, so it was a 4 hour drive to Big Bend. At times a tricky drive. So...

After reading some of the reviews on here I am firm in my belief that some people just complain about the dumbest things. Our stay at Longhorn Ranch was excellent. The pool was great, the location was very peaceful, Our room was really, really clean (something my wife always appreciates). The owners (Jose and Neveira) were very friendly and enjoyed...

Drove all the way from Odessa with my family to stay near Big Bend. Made reservations weeks ago for this place. When we pulled up, there were two dogs wandering around and a man working on his jeep who did not speak much English. He said that there was no one there and the place was locked up tight. So...

these people are in the hospitality business. When you speak to them on the phone they should act like it. Kind of rude and unprofessional if you ask me. Every time I called I dreaded talking to the woman who answered because she was so mean. Never did end up staying there. Anyone else out there have this same reaction?

The Longhorn Ranch Motel was safe, clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was delicious (not a typical motel breakfast) and was included in the price. After seeing all the other options in Terlingua I believe the Longhorn Ranch Motel was the best option. It's got nice views and is set apart from all the other motels.
