We stayed in a king room in the Mission lodge. It is a nicely maintained facility but it is showing its age. Our room was comfortable but a bit cramped. It was actually a lot nicer than we expected given the remoteness of the area. Wifi is available, though only in the lobby area, but that and the gift shop...

The park location was good, near all of the main points in Terlinqua. It was clean and fairly quiet. The operators were nice. Also the spaces each had room so the RVs were not crowded together at all. It was a good experience for an RVer.

A well located property managed by very nice folks that appears to have a starved budget for badly needed renovations. The regular motel rooms are better than the duplex rooms and the restaurant is ok. Bottom line: In this beautiful area this should be your 'Last Resort' in the Big Bend.

Stayed here while hiking in Big Bend National park. The room was adequate, although the bedding was quite old and had a dusty smell to it. There is also a restaurant and gas station on site a short walk from the rooms, there is Wifi in the restaurant area, not in the rooms. The restaurant had a hot continental breakfast...

Located in Study Butte-Terlingua near the intersection of TX 118 and FM 107, only 3 miles (4.8k) from the entrance to Big Bend National Park, it is nevertheless over 80 miles (130k) away from the closest town of any consequence, Alpine, TX. One needs to be prepared when coming to such a remote place; amenities are few and far between...

Hotel options are very limited in Big Bend. There is one hotel in the park (run by the same company as this one) and a smattering of other non-chain hotels and guest houses in Terlingua. Try one of these. Or, camp, if possible, for the best locations. This hotel is VERY run down. No updates have been made in years....

First, the good about this motel -- the location is excellent. It's only a few miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park, and there is a gas station, convenience store, and cafe located right on the property. You park right outside your room, and the doors open to the outside (not interior hallways). We needed two rooms for...

Second stay at this motel, and really only because there are so very few options in the area. Room met basic requirements, heat/ac worked, towels seemed fairly new. We were told this was one of the more recently remodeled rooms, which couldn't have been more recent than the early 80s I think. I'm 5'6" and had to duck under shower...

If I could give it less than one star, I would. This is a 1950 motel and no money has been reinvested in the property even though they charge a mint for a room. Our room was in an annex building about a block away from the main part of the "resort". All the parking lots and driveways are dirt...
