We were in a bind for a motel late in the day and stopped here. Facility appeared to be 1950's motel, inside and out. Room was worn out in every respect. (carpet, sheets, blankets, bedspread all threadbare; sink, tub and furniture should have been replaced years ago, etc.). Probably doesn't deserve even one star!

We made reservations over the phone with the person at the 877 number since no one ever answered the phone at the actual motel. We pulled in to the motel to check in during normal business hours and the lobby was closed. There was a sign that said "back in 15 minutes". We waited almost an hour! We went next... More

First, don't let the "resort" label fool you - this is an older motel and RV park. That out of the way, I have to say that I enjoyed my stay here. This was the best option for what I was looking for - a "hotel", conveniently located to Big Bend National Park, close to restaurants (actually has a restaurant),... More

Of all the RV sites off 118 , Study Butte or Terlingua, this probably has the best. Just know that you are in Big Bend country. Expect the same wildlife as the state and national park. Black bear, javelina, mountain lions / bobcat, rattlesnakes, etc are the norm. Use your head and you're fine. Have pets? Be smart. Short leash,... More

I wanted to stay at a place near the park instead of paying double for the lodge in the park. Given its run by the same company I figured Id give it a shot. The room was clean but a dump. It really needed updating,it probably hadn't been redone in 40 years. The carpet was coming up,the air conditioner was... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in June. It's an RV park in the desert and for the area is pretty typical -- dirt, few trees, no grass. Bummed that the showers were coin operated, so I didn't try the bathrooms. Spaces were flat and easy in and out. Staff was very nice and accommodating -- forgot our can opener and... More

We stayed three nights in the hotel in one of the two bedroom condo units which are detached from the main motel unit. The rooms were dated but clean. These units have a full kitchen with full sized appliances. Everything worked, but like I said, it is all dated. The beds were comfortable, but not great. There were only two... More

I stayed in the motel across the highway from the main office. The facilities have been there for a while, but have withstood the test of time. The room was comfortable and clean. I had a King-sized bed with dressing area and sink separate from the toilet and bath/shower. There were power surges once or twice a day, but each... More

Spent three nights in the 2 bedroom small duplex. We found our duplex clean with a working stove, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, so our needs were met. They provide pots, pans, dishes but no flatware. A/C worked fine. Mattresses were old style and firm, but not unbearable. The main office had a lobby area with coffee or tea 24hr,... More

We stopped for gas, snacks, and restrooms at this scenic location on Memorial Day 2016 (Monday) at 6:15PM. Restrooms were located to the restaurant's rear and I noticed the restaurant was nearly empty at this time. Cashiers and other customers were friendly. The small convenience store carries food staples that might be needed when camping which makes sense - as... More
