We set out on a very special voyage to celebrate the love of my life's birthday . The goal became for us to see 2 sunsets and 2 sunrises in 2 days. And I have to say the high light was when we arrived from Austin and out on our balcony was the second sunset and the reception by Mercedes made us feel like we had arrived home. But the best was yet to come as the food of the seahorse and the mix of the sea and the pina coladas and all the sudden we just drifted away . So if you like to be treated like a vip and get a small taste of the sand sea 🌊 and lots of fun . Check in but you will have tuff time leaving this little hidden treasure of Texas . Make sure you let Mercedes know Pete & Sherie sent you! And enjoy the waves .. Thanks a million World Travelers 🌎
While staying in Galveston for our anniversary we drove over to This hotel because I had eaten there in the past and wanted to check out the hotel for a future visit. The outside looked run down. So we went into the office. We were not treated with a hello. No welcome whatsoever. I had to address the masked woman sitting behind the counter, she never stood up or made an effort to “assist” or acknowledge us. Just looked at us. I explained our purpose and requested seeing a room for future visits. She said they don’t show rooms to go online. Well I had already done that. Now I had driven 45 minutes to see it in person. It is January. It was quite apparent they were not full and she could easily have gotten up off her large lazy butt and just shown us a room. Based on other reviews there’s a cleanliness issue and water issue. So since she didn’t have the care, or energy to work and show us a room we will never ever set foot on that property. Including the restaurant. We’ll either find somewhere else or just not return to the area. There’s really not much to do there anyway. Guess it’s not that big of a loss. It’s a shame she was that lazy. We had entertained staying here in the future instead of Galveston.…
This place is the perfect location if you are wanting to spend time on the beach with a clean room in walking distance. They have covered areas with picnic tables and outdoor showers for hotel guest. If you plan to cook outside be sure to bring your own grill. The only one on -property is not in a convenient area and was filled with trash. I brought this to staff attention and the next day trash was still there, so we had to make alternate plans for our meal. We stayed in the room that has a full kitchen. At booking, I was told it would have pots, ,pans, and dishes, only to get there to find no pots and pans - only lids. The knives barely cut butter much less an apple. When I asked front desk about the pans for cooking I was told "well, they are supposed to be there" Really? So anyhow, nothing could be done - I had to go to near by Dollar General to get pans to cook with since the outdoor grill was not an option. This visit my frustrations were because we had 5 kiddos with us and the lack of supplies that were "suppose to be there" were not and the ONE grill was used as a trash can. We did not want to take the small kiddos inside the restaurant due to the COVID situation. My Title says it all ...LOCATION KEEPS US COMING BACK…
This place was worth every penny, great place with an awesome view. Just a walk of the wonderful deck straight to the beach. Room were clean and bed was amazing. Love the decks available to enjoy the sea air in the shade if needed, along with a private balcony for our room. We will definitely return to enjoy another day.
This was a wonderful stay and our first time there. It is right on the beach and was perfect! It has great rooms-but they are on the smaller side-wonderful decks to relax and watch the ocean on and the have accessible ramps for those of us who are on scooters. You cannot go wrong staying here. It was awesome!
They tell you one price an then charge for other! Bad experience and bad costumer service ever ! The lady in the office don’t like your job is rude taking by phone!! The room are small but the view was beautiful!!
We really liked this hotel and we will be back! The room was nice and it was clean, which is always hard to do with any accommodations directly on the beach. The Queen beds seemed to be a little on the small side, I don't know if that's possible. The room that we stayed in had a bathroom door that would not lock and with a very active and curious 2 and a 1/2 year old it was not the best scenario. It did have a refrigerator however for some reason on the very last day we were there it stopped working. The maintenance man was extremely nice and apologized for the refrigerator. I told him it worked fine the majority of the time we were there and I just didn't want the next people to have an issue with it. The male housekeeper was also very nice. I understand it is a family hotel, and management has no real control over certain things but the people staying in the room above us had to be a family of Centaurs wearing steel toe work boots. They were extremely inconsiderate and allowed their child or children to run from one side of the room to the other for almost 2 hours if not more as we were trying to go to bed. It did finally quiet down but I did want to call management to complain. If they hadn't gotten quiet I would have. The noise from the inconsiderate neighbors above us does not have a bearing on my review but if you are looking for something extremely quiet you must keep my mind that it is a family hotel.…
We booked a king room with kitchenette that was small, but ok for two. The a/c was not cooling and they were in no hurry to fix it. The stovetop had only two burners that worked and no pans available for the oven. The second evening someone finally showed up to fix a/c after we called 5-6 more times. A/C got worse after maintenance said it was fixed. We asked to change rooms and were moved to a queen room. It was a much better room and cold a/c.... but stove had no racks in it. Repairman worked on deck and rails (hammering and using drill) most of the next day which was loud and annoying. Front desk didn’t offer any discount or apology for the problems. Again... location was great and right on the beach but entire complex seemed to need attention.
After arriving to the location we did not have hot water for two days in our room. Had to call numerous times to get fixed. The showers to clean off the sand were not working but one shower stall. The doors where hanging off the hinges and there was trash in the dressing rooms. There was a large stain on the table in our room and when I called the front desk they didn’t know anything about it. Had to take photo to send to front desk. They are not cleaning rooms till you check out. You have to ask the housekeepers to replenish towels or any other items. Be cautious when you stay at this hotel. For the price of the room is not worth the stay.
we were where no dogs was suppose to be, a couple snuck in 2 big dogs for the weekend and barked and kept us up, the doors at both ends slam every time someone goes in and out, and the beach view is on the side of the rooms, so very loud and steps on the back was steep, room was clean we did call and report the dogs and how far down from our room but nothing was done.
