We went for the first time Sunday 6/26/16. Upon entering the grounds we paid for ourselves and one child who was with us and two of our kids which were riding with our friend directly behind us. We were not charged for our 1 year old. The prices were reasonable and the location was great. We drove in and parked... More

I will not be camping at the 5 Dollar Spot EVER again. The owner, this old guy has a little dirtbike that he rides around the property. He kept on creeping by and spooking my dogs. They would run over to him and start barking. He then told me to put them on a leash. I told him I didn't... More

★☆☆☆☆ Worst place and people ever!!  First off- There is nothing they do for $5! Beware of added on charges! Second- they left our children stranded for over 1 1/2 hours at the pick up spot. They had to borrow a strangers phone to call for a pick up. The lady yelled at them on the phone and told them... More

If you don't mind literally having people you don't know in your camping area this is fine. But if you want ANY privacy go somewhere else. The price is good, but they don't have enough room for the amount of people they allow to camp there. Not to mention the bathrooms were nasty when we went to leave on Sunday.

I usually camp near the Gruene area but the family wanted to try something different. I made reservations @ Guadalupe Canoe & Camping. We arrived and were taken to our camping area. It was fairly busy for a Friday night. We set up camp and settled in for the night. There were several campers in the area that were loud.... More

When Stephen Spielberg created “The River” for ABC television, he saw a river bleak and dark and bereft of hope. Yet we know that rivers bring life, they “roll along”, with always an adventure beckoning from around the bend. Standing on the banks of the Guadalupe, beside the long-time owners of Guadalupe Canoe Livery, Mike and Linda Clark, relaxed and... More

Went for a weekend campout & tube float 6/13-14. I don't camp very often, so keep that in mind. Hot but very shady. Did ok with fan. Have to lug stuff to camp site, no drive in at all. Park at top and walk down to camp site. Camp site was very clean. 2 port-a-potties at top of hill. Building... More
