Stunning communal areas and approach out front to this hotel, wonderfully situated right next to all the shops in Southlake (Barnes & Noble is fab!), nice big comfortable rooms with all the mod cons. Absolutely gorgeous breakfast buffet. Visiting from the U.K. we stayed over my son's 6th birthday and my husband was at work on that day, unfortunately the wifi went down in the whole hotel which meant that not only could I not look for things to do with my children locally but I couldn't order an uber or anything either, even the TV did not work due to it. The staff were not very helpful. Also, they said that it was an area wide problem but when we went out to the nearby shops, I was able to access patchy wifi there (thankfully!). There was drilling and works happening at the time of our stay so I think it was planned maintenance that they were perhaps not telling guests pre-arrival about? I wish they had, as they also stated that the pool was a certain temp but unfortunately it was cold. Pre-booking I had planned to spend the day at the pool with the kids for my son's birthday but it was too cold, another family staying said the same that they had rang up before booking to ask about the pool temp as they struggled with arthritis and were assured it was heated and then were not able to use the pool at all when they got there. Side note - the hot tub was boiling hot though. Again, the staff just really didn't care at all, there was confusion over breakfast vouchers etc etc. My child's nighttime teddy had disappeared from the room we noticed as we were putting him to bed on his birthday, it turned out it had been accidentally taken with the sheets - a genuine mistake to make - and many thanks to the night shift staff member who went to look and found it for us. Overall, a beautiful hotel in a great location unfortunately with some (not all!) blaze staff who need training on how to speak to customers.…
This team gets it... Best in class coming out of this whole last year of covid disruption. The folks answering the phone are friendly the entire desk staff and restaurant staff are friendly. Was treated to a very nice corner suite with a balcony and got to watch the action outside in the evening. I love the fact this is a real deal full service Hilton that does not have a bunch of stupid add-ons like parking fees resort fees or upgrade fees. Nice clean pool the executive lounge is open however does not have food yet and Copeland's restaurant on site is undergoing renovation. There are plenty of restaurant choices nearby and shopping you can walk right out the door to find them. This Hilton is my new go to in the DFW area!
Due to weather we became stuck in Texas for two days. This hotel was a life saver. The staff is amazing and took care of our every need. The restaurant is wonderful. The new fresh look is top notch. Beds are very comfortable.
This Hilton property is always top notch and Stacy at the front desk makes sure it’s a great stay ! I also love the service at Copelands whether drinks in the evening or breakfast , it’s alway five star . I come back for the friendly bartenders at Copelands , the friendly folks at the breakfast buffet and because Of people like Stacy . Thanks for a great stay , Brad
First, I'll note that the only reason I'm giving the hotel more than 1 star is due to the friendly front desk staff and the cleanliness of the room. Now for the rest - guests BEWARE. My husband and I felt pretty mislead by the hotel on 2 major things. 1) It is not disclosed anywhere on the website for the hotel that it is currently under construction. Initially, this didn't seem to be an issue. However, after returning to our room one afternoon around 1:30, it became an issue QUICKLY. We returned for our 3 year old to take a quick nap while we got ready for the evening, but that proved to be impossible. There was drilling/jack hammering/major construction happening DIRECTLY above our room. The noise was so loud that my husband and I couldn't hear each other speak, even directly in front of each other without yelling. We were in the room for a total of 1.5hrs while we showered/got refreshed. The noise lasted the entirety of that time. It was absolutely horrible. We found out at the time of checkout that entire FLOORS of this hotel are closed due to the construction. This should be a disclosure at the time of booking. 2) I understand it's been a Hilton corporate-wide policy to do away with free breakfast for Diamond members and instead do the daily credit. However, this was the first experience I've had where the price of breakfast isn't posted anywhere before you eat, nor is an option to do a "lesser" continental breakfast for free. I cannot stress enough to inquire about the price. Adult breakfast is $21 per person + tax. We were charged the full children's price for our 3 year old - $12 per person. Yes, you can had eggs or an omelet made, but this is not a $21 or $12/child breakfast. I was floored. I travel often for work, and this was the highest breakfast/least value I've seen. We were extremely disappointed, and did not repeat our mistake again. Overall, the lack of transparency we experienced here is not what I've come to expect from Hilton. We go out of our way to stay at Hilton properties due to the trusted name and experience. This was far outside of what I believe the company values to be. I would like to say we'll return (because the location is great), but the lack of honesty of behalf of ownership in several areas is a huge cause for concern.…
Great front staff, esp Tina. Good location for shopping and restaurants with easy off and on access to the highway. Would definitely stay at this location again. Housekeeping was great and the restaurant for breakfast is a must.
Hilton Southlake was great! The staff is always accommodating and friendly! A great hotel in a great location .. you can never go wrong. Centrally located to a lot of the other suburban areas too so that’s a plus.
Front desk staff was rude! The room cleaning staff was amazing and needs a raise, they were kind and helped us more than the front desk. This was our second stay here and we won’t stay here again. They need retraining
Everything was prefect with the food I had the blackened chicken and I got some much needed rest. The whole room felt very comfortable and clean. Would stay here again. Thank you for the wonderful service!
The hotel room looked rather dated and smelled like carpet fresh upon my arrival. However, the staff were quite attentive and did offer to move me to another room but I didn’t check in till very late in the evening I was exhausted at that point and didn’t feel like moving
