We had a great time on spring break here. The rooms and pool were nice and the staff were friendly, accommodating, and honestly hilarious sometimes, especially Samantha. She was always smiling and laughing and putting everyone in a good mood every time we saw her. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

This place was a mess. It was in rough shape, the elevator wasn’t working for most of the trip, the power went out multiple times and all together the staff wasn’t great. They even charged us $50 for 2 towels that were “damaged.” All in all, spend your money somewhere else. There was a hundred hidden fees and you’ll end up spending the same amount of money.

Samantha and the main bartender were amazing and took great care of us at the cafe our entire stay! They were courteous and always had a smile and provided the best service guests can ask for!!! 10/10 would absolutely recommend!!!

Such an amazing resort! No complaints! We stayed the week before Texas spring break. Would not advise staying here during Texas spring break… super busy! To our surprise we got an ocean view room without paying extra:) breakfast was amazing everyday, lots of different options, just not much for meat. Everyone was super friendly! Definitely will be returning!!

The la copa is a very nice hotel to visit its very clean and the staff was amazing the only downfall was that the construction work was working past 7pm when we all gathered outside our room to have a few cocktails and tell stories we had a total of 16 of us and we could not hear ourselves talk because of the late construction we had to complain 2 times before they stopped working other wise everything was awesome.

We've always stayed at La Copa for our trips to South Padre. Prices have gone up on everything but I think I'll shop around for our next trip to South Padre. Don't get me wrong, La Copa is a nice place to stay. It's just getting to costly IMO.

We were impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. I especially like that there is not carpet in the rooms. The breakfast is wonderful with made to order items and buffet. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good and reasonably priced food and drinks.

We booked a 2 room suite for the Thanksgiving weekend. Really enjoyed out stay, rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful. They were remodeling some of the 1st floor but they went out of their way to maintain order and keep things tidy. Breakfast every morning was free and very tasty. We are already looking forward to returning in the future. The only complaint I'd have if there is to be one is the dang black birds that are in the trees will wake you in the mornings, but of no fault of the staff... can't fight nature.

My sons and I have been staying here for years during the week leading up to Thanksgiving. They are remodeling rooms so it’s only getting better. Close to the beach. Breakfast is great. Pool and hot tub are nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great location.

Chose this hotel because of the reviews on another site. Parking is a little tight, as with other hotels in the area. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. There's a boutique Starbucks onsite, but they don't accept Apple pay nor Starbucks gift cards. We had a double queen room. Nothing fancy about it, although I did ask for an ocean view room. My room looked out at the neighboring hotel, which I could see through the palm trees. I hate that I didn't ask for the top floor. We were on the third floor and I was able to hear the folks above walking...hard! Also, there were a lot of kids so we heard them running and screaming down the halls. The good thing was after 10p.m. the hotel was quiet. The pool area seemed a little cramped with a few cabana chairs, a couple of picnic areas and pool(s). I liked the connected boardwalk directly to the beach. We captured a beautiful sunrise. We ate at the cabana restaurant. It was very pricey or should I say, the drinks were very pricey. There's a liquor store within walking distance...just in case. Overall, I would stay again with a few tweaks.…
