We waited 3 hours to receive our 2 rooms in the heat. I anticipated that being a Diamond member I would have early checkin access but that was not acknowledged. We were being told the 'rooms would be ready in 30 minutes'. Three hours later, we received keys to one room. 30 minutes later, our second room was made available. I gave up 120K points for this kind of service! Then, I go later that evening to the Lookout. Which is an on premise bar/grill area. I ordered a burger. The place was not packed. There were two other patrons ahead of me. It took 45 minutes to get my burger. This is after my waitress/server (Miriam) gave me attitude to take my order. She was too busy taking shots with a local patron and made it clear I was on her time, not mine. It was obvious she providing them with free alcohol as it was not being charged. Needless to say, I never ordered food from the Lookout again. Here I am, saving my points to take my daughter and grandkids on a vacation and it was a total disappointment. Save your points and book elsewhere.

This hotel is a bit rough. The rooms are big and I think they are making an effort to keep things clean but the entire facility is pretty beat up. The beds were very uncomfortable. We stayed here because they are one of the few hotels on the island that allow dogs. The large number of dogs means you will probably encounter irresponsible owners who leave their barking dogs unaccompanied in their rooms and don’t pick up after them when they are on the beach. Not the hotels fault, but it does impact the experience. If you have a dog, this hotel is serviceable otherwise, I would make a different choice,

We have gone several times to this location since my first review 5 years ago when we loved it. This time was so disappointing and I will not be returning. Pros - Location; next to Claytons which has firework shows on Friday and Saturdays. Breakfast was nice but they wont let you take anything to your room and my son was sun burnt and could not make it to breakfast the second morning ... I don't understand why I am not allowed to take one plate of breakfast to him in the room but it was not allowed. Most people staying there have 4 or more people in one room so my two breakfast plates was less but the lady made a big deal of it and no exceptions. Cons- (1) room not ready at 4 which is check in - they had people stacked up in the lobby waiting to get to their hotel rooms; (2) hanging towell rack - the front desk said they had to check the room and that took 20 minutes and when we got to the room a towel rack under the sink was completely off on one side ; not a big deal but why make me wait when they obviously didn't check the room very well; (3) AC leaked all over the floor but it kept the room cool enough so I didn't want to complain but this is something they should have noticed when cleaning the rooms; (4) BEACH was completely blocked off and you had to go all the way down to Tiki condos to get into the water - paid for beach view and got a view of tractors and heavy equipment plus they worked around the clock - woke up several times with that backing up noise heavy equipment makes; (5) left early the second morning assuming when we returned at 3:30 the room would be clean but no... I called and the guy at front desk was short with me and said we should have been told at check in that we had to request room cleaning... room cleaning is why I don't like staying at VRBO properties and why I go to a hotel. When I asked how long it would take them to get to the room he said that is a different department and I don't know. I waited 20 minutes and when nothing happened I called again and spoke to another person at front desk and he said I will send someone right up... which is it, is it a different department or you can send someone right up... it took another 30 minutes and the lady cleaning the room said they only have 3 clean towells in the entire hotel. (6) Check out I thought the person would ask me how our stay was but she didn't care and didn't thank me. Sad that since Wyndam purchased La Quinta the service should have improved but in fact is worse. I used to have to chose La Quinta because not a lot of places let you bring your dog but that is changing and I guess I will be changing hotel chains or going VRBO since La Quinta is stuck with continuing to blame Covid for a reason to charge people almost $800 for 2 nights. And by the way get rid of your no masks no service signs posted all over the hotel since your policy on your website says that if you have had your shots then you don't have to wear a mask. LAST THERE WAS NO IRONING BOARD.

Booked this hotel over the phone, where they claim masks are NOT required if you have been vaccinated however my husband and I are both vaccinated and yet they refused to give him his breakfast because he did not have a mask on. We complained to management during our checkout and was told management nor staff had a clue about these new no mask policies. Obviously, Lack of communication. Everyone should be on the same page.

Spent two nights recently. Nice lobby and gift shop. Wonderful view of the beach from our room. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. The only downside was during the day, there was construction going on right outside our room. Lots of noise. Fortunately, we weren’t late sleepers.
