My Bridge booked here through a "different" travel site and for "whatever reasons", we never could get the "traveler" changes, so we "canceled" the booking through the "Ex****a company. That company has a no charge for cancellations. So I booked through the Trav******y company (they say (no charges for cancelations too) and when we had a death in the family I went to "change" the reservation, but "changes" are not allowed at this property through third parties, so Had to "cancel". Long story-short: 3 bookings, three cancellations each charged $56+ 2 with the "EX..." company, and one with the "TV..." company. Rooms are Spartan, clean, and far from South Padre Island Blvd, reasonably quiet. Won't stay here again.

We waited till a few weeks out to book a room and were growing concerned that we would not be able to stay on the island because of the cost of rooms. Let's face it some of us can't afford to drop hundreds and hundreds on a room for vacation. I managed to find a room here at the Lighthouse Inn with 2 king beds that could sleep up to six. My family of 5 fit comfortably and slept great. Yes this is not some 5 star resort but for a 2 to 3 star place you get the best bang for you buck here. We stayed a total of 3 nights and paid around $380 Total including taxes and fees. That was a steal! The room was a good size, everything was clean, front desk was friendly and helpful. We were able to go up to front desk and request more towels without issue. There is a small pool on property that was well kept. The bay is short walk away with good fishing. The food, entertainment and beach are within walking distance or a short drive. Everything from price to location is great about this place.

This was a decent place to stay for one night. The room we got was clean and had all the necessities. Towels were very thin, though. Also some of the neighbours were a bit loud, but we managed to get some sleep.

This hotel has been renovated and looks good inside and out. The tiled floors are nice, internet works well and the location is good. There are a couple of good bars/restaurants on the shore behind the hotel with live entertainment. On the minus side the breakfast is meager, towels are useless and there's no coffee in the room. Stayed two nights, no major issues. Would consider staying again.

We stayed here for 5 nights to check out South Padre Island. The room was not super comfortable to just hang out in. If you are booking this hotel to not spend any time in the room then this is the place for you. The bath towels and the bed sheets are the thinest I have ever seen. The room was clean when we arrived. They could use some updating inside the rooms. I notice mold on the bottom of our shower curtain so little things like that could be taken care of. We had to have our mini fridge swapped out while we were there because it would not shut off so everything froze. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is very minimal. They have the waffle makers, a toaster with bread to toast, 2 breakfast cereals to choose from, and some fresh fruit (bananas/oranges). There are packets of oatmeal but no microwave. You would have to take it back to your room to microwave it, but there is a sign saying not to take food out of there. The location is fantastic - you can walk to bars, restaurants and stores.
