The place is showing signs of age. The furniture needs update, the grout is coming up in the bathroom, there’s visible wood rotting under the window facing the walkover bridge in the main office building. Don’t get me wrong, we love this place and what it offers to people

Horrible owner!! She talked about rehab at breakfast to my guest. The larger suit door didn’t lock. She would call my phone over and over again until I answered for stupid little things “ again my wedding weekend” would watch us out the window and complain that we were too loud.

Response from yrodgers, Owner at Smithville Inn Bed and Breakfast

Wow, it's hard to know where to start! The doors of all the rooms, do indeed lock. They're keyless entry. At breakfast one of the guests asked me for good places to eat. I told them about Comfort Cafe, which is associated to an excellent rehab center here in Smithville. I've never been to rehab, but know what a great job they do. Yes, I talked about the restaurant's association with the center. Both nights the (wedding) guests stayed up "partying" outside until after 4:00 a.m. When I went out and let them know it was 4:00 and time to call it a night, they ignored me and continued. I was asked the day they arrived if they could park an RV in the street. Rather than block the neighbor's house, I agree to let them park in my driveway, since she assured me it would just be parked and wouldn't need electricity. The people staying in the RV ended up using my electricity both nights, and were not paying guests. I ended up not serving them breakfast, not because the arrived at 10:30, but because I only serve breakfast to guests who have reservations. There are coffee stations in every rooms, so it is always available! Since all the rooms were booked under the bride's name (Amber), anytime someone would call to reserve a room, I would request a confirmation from Amber to make sure I could switch the reservation from her name to theirs. That's not unorganized, that's taking proper steps to insure no errors.

Reserved the Inn for the family for my sons wedding. I had 5 of the 6 rooms and each one was above expectations. Yvette is a loving and caring lady that runs a beautiful facility. Breakfast was great and she even let the kiddo's feed the chickens with her. I highly recommend

My wife and I stayed at the Smithville Inn, a charming grouping of rooms alongside a garden and pool area, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our room was a little spartan (concrete floor with throw rugs) but charming overall and very pleasant. The garden area was beautifully

The rooms are big and clean. The pool feels great. Keyless, private entrance allows for easy access and privacy. The location is walking distance to Bones Distillery, the Hope Floats House, and a bit longer walk to Main Street. I would recommend the Smithville Inn to anyone.
