Previous guest left meds in desk drawer. Notified office via email as nobody on site. Did not add picture due to medicine bottle has name. Was told someone would get them immediately but they were still in room next day when I left. Trash in another drawer. Coffee pot dirty, I cleaned before making coffee which I regret. When I emptied coffee grounds after using I noticed moldy grounds in bottom under filter. This has not been cleaned in a long time. Waterbugs in room. Bed was very uncomfortable. Location was good and bathroom was clean although small. Close to Shiner Brewery for a tour. Nice Saloon downtown, had good food.

Dennis, I am glad that you enjoyed your stay overall and found the location adequate and the bathroom clean. You reached out about the medications at 2:55pm (before the normal check-in time) and we notified the previous guest who accidentally left them. Thank you for that. I personally replied within 4 minutes and asked if the accommodations were otherwise cleaned to your satisfaction and you said that it was. It wasn't even check-in time yet, and I could have easily sent somebody back to address any concerns. On the beds, many guests ask us where we got the mattresses because they are so comfortable, so I am sorry your personal experience was less than stellar in that regard.

Dnt get me wrong the apartment we stayed at was clean, the beds were comfortable, but the room with the barn doors didn’t stay closed so no privacy, and we have to go thur the other bedroom to get to the bathroom., and my husband and I didn’t want to wake up my dad going to the bathroom at night ....We always try and stay at places with full kitchen because we like to eat real meals... but this kitchen was just empty, yes the stove works but good thing I had common sense to pack a mini kitchen supply, cause this place had no kitchen cleaners, no basic supply to use a kitchen, granted we have integrity to clean up and not leave a mess, but huge empty kitchen. I didn’t care for the “contactless “ experience. I get the social distance but that doesn’t equal no friendly, welcoming personal experience.. I mean a phone call to welcome couldn’t hurt.. just didn’t care that you have no one on staff available..

First of all, thank you for choosing to stay with us. I am glad you liked the space and found it to be clean and comfortable. That said, I am sorry you didn't enjoy the contactless experience, but I am a bit confused as the hotel was not "empty" during your stay. As a matter of fact, we were sold out when you stayed with us. Regardless, we hope you will come back in the future, and I am happy to call, text, or email for a chat any time if that makes you feel more welcome. I love getting to know guests, but I have found that most appreciate being left alone to enjoy their stay. I am always available, as well as the rest of the team.

Was in town for family Anniversary. This Motel was clean and close to downtown. The owners were so welcoming and took very good care of us. Extended family needed rooms at the last minute and they made special accommodations with them and their four kids. We even received 2 free Shiner Bock beers upon check in. Really enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again the next we are in town for the weekend!

We loved this motel! The bed was awesome and this staff was sweet. It was close to downtown, and 5 minutes from the brewery. I loved sitting outside and watching the sunset. It was quiet. We will stay there again.

Whenever I have guests coming to town, I recommend that they try and stay here. The rooms are clean and the location is just off the middle of Shiner, in a very quiet area. The owners are friendly and helpful.

So glad we chose Shiner Country Inn. What a fabulous time our family had staying here while in Shiner for my nephew's wedding. The groom's parents, his siblings and their spouses and four sets of aunts and uncles...we booked the whole place. Very clean and very comfortable. Cozy retro rooms, huge oak trees for sitting and visiting and friendly, helpful owner. Mark made us feel so at home. It had all the amenities we could ask for. And did I mention CLEAN. We could not have had a better experience.

What a rare find. We were on motorcycle vacation through Texas and visiting Shiner Brewery. Only one motel in town and we called while at the Brewery. They said we have three rooms left so we jumped on it. Basically $50 a night and the cleanest most comfortable place and nicest owners we have ever met. Had a beer and water and some chocolates waiting for the three of us. Thanks Mark and Mary for your over the top hospitality. Highly recommended!

Room was very clean and somewhat updated but still had the charm of a motorlodge. Satellite TV, coffee, shampoo and 2 chocolates in the room. The owners were as charming as the motel. Would stay again!

My second stay at Shiner Country Inn in Shiner Texas was as peaceful as the first. Mark, Mary, Cindy, & Tony could not have been more awesome hosts. They care about their slice of nostalgia; and about the guests who choose to stay in this peaceful setting. When I stay here; it seems like the well furnished & comfortable room becomes my new little home along with my two chairs on my covered front porch. Sitting outside as late as 10:30 pm brought me more peace and quiet than I have experienced in many years. And I sleep like a 60 year old baby in the big comfortable bed with the excellent AC/Heat unit at my fingertips. Shiner is a very quaint and very clean little town. At Christmas time; it really seems to glow. I will return to Shiner Country Inn again and again for my Peace of The Past r&r. If I have perked your interest; please go to their website at shinercountryinn.com to see what this place is all about. It's about totally visiting the past, and totally escaping the big city rat race. Tell them Steve B. sent you. Happy Travels My Friends. Steve

I stayed here while working in Hurricane Harvey in the Victoria area. "Old timey" feel and the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed being able to sit outside the room in the evenings and enjoy a cold beverage from the local brewery. It was much more personable than a modern hotel. Combined with the general vibe of the whole town, I felt like I was on a bit of a backwards time warp. Thank you very much for the hospitality!
