NUMBER OF ROOMS
OMG- I refused to stay here. It was The scariest hotel I have even been in. I took a look around, and left after 15 minutes. You know how when you pull up to the hotel and you can park under the overhang and drive thru to your parking? The clerk parked his car on the other side of the over hang , so no one could have shaded parking while they went in to check in. That should have been a red flag, that the property owners didn't care about the customrs. I went into the lobby- the clerk was behind a bulletproof wall. Where the 'free breakfast was' - there was a nasty sideboard with prepackaged Honey Buns, a very small microwave, and a dirty Mr. Coffee coffeepot. That was my second red flag. I asked 2 or 3 times, is it safe here? and the clerk said, just lock your doors. I said because it's just me and my sister, will we be safe? He said it will be ok. I also noticed there was a big sign that said, Our rooms have been renovated with granite countertops! I asked if I was getting a newly renovated room and the clerk said, "maybe......." So I drive on the gravel rutted parking lot to my room - 354. I noticed that there were a lot of transient looking people hanging out - car hoods up like they are working on their cars - laundry hung out and flapping in the breeze - open windows (it was warm and humid) and semi truck drivers pulling up and parking for the day. My rooms was conveniently located next to the freeway and on the side of the train tracks. The door jambs were dirty, the slabs of plastic looking granite that were on the side of the sub were not flush and there was a gaping spot in the corner where the slabs did not meet. Looked like a great hangout for spiders and roaches. I did not see bugs, the TV looked not very new but it was on the wall. You can see the old office push button phone in one of my pics. I started my customary wipe down of everything but within 10 minutes, I heard so much banging and shouting that I decided I could not stay there.I I had a bad feeling in my gut, and I knew I had to get out of there. SLOW awful wifi. The clerk did not know the name of the WiFi (there were 3 to choose from) and I could not tell what he was telling me when I asked for the password. I don't mind an old hotel but this was ridiculous. I was only able to take six pictures of what was wrong with this place. There was a chain hanging from the door but no lock on the other side to slide chain lock into. Speaking of chains, have you ever seen a chair cushion chained to the chair? Me neither. The place was so dirty, sloppy, and dangerous. The carpet was stained, the bathroom fan made a horrendous noise, the sink faucet did not have a screen on it, so when I turned on the faucet, the water came dumping out all over me. I called my friend who lived in the area and said, I think I will get murdered here and she let me stay at her house. I get to my friend's house and her brother said NEVER stay at his hotel - it's a NoTell Motel. And it is where transients live. It is not safe at all. The rooms look NOTHING like the website. I called the clerk, and said,I'm not staying here. I'm leaving the cards in the rooms. He offered to switch rooms, and I told him I did not feel safe, and that the rooms were not very clean. He said OK. That was it. This is an awful place! My husband called hotels.com thru which we booked our room, and we got a voucher worth twice what I paid for the room. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here!…
I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place I had been driving needed a bed to lay my head for the night, so I made online reservation, but to my disappointment for the price I was expecting at least a clean room , the room smell like garbage it seem like he had never been vacuum the corners of the carpet were filthy, on bathroom there was hair's and bugs on the corners I just wanted to get a good nights sleep, I ended up going to the store getting some cleaners to clean the bathroom and the shower and sanitized, shower curtain was dirty I had to ask for a clean one , all the areas where I was supposed to be touching I sanitized and spray Fabreze, to get rid of musty smell that was very strong, hairs on the bed when I pulled the blanked and bedspread off, mattress sinked in the middle it had a broken coil sticking on the edge it was imposible to get a good night sleep, so I pay for the room that i ended up cleaning except for the vacuuming !! See the pictures yourself !!…
We had decided to stop in Sealy as a half way point. Every other motel or hotel was sold out. We always check reviews if possible, we paid the desk clerk and went to settle in to the room. The stairs leading to the room smelled like urine, there was a Walmart shopping cart on the walkway. We opened the door to the room and was choked on the smell of cigarette smell. My spouse checked the beds for bugs and found woman’s hair on the sheets underneath the cover. There was a mouth tobacco container on the floor under the chair. The bed covers had huge holes from cigarette burns, we had to request a refund due to with our business , we deal with customers on the daily basis and we are note smokers. The ashtray smell was not what we wanted to walk out the door with.
We had to make a stop for the night, we just needed a place to sleep so we stopped here. The room was clean and comfortable. Not much as far as amenities but for the price it was good. Not a bad place to catch a few zzzzzz's
First off, this is not a top of the line place to stay. Everything here is old. Says newly remodeled, maybe late 90's. It's on the lows side of clean. Our rooms was small, beds were small, cigarette holes in bed spread, refused us late check out. The upside was no bugs and the rooms smelled OK. This is not my type choice by far, but have seen worse. So good luck if you stay.
