I took my first real vacation in many years to the Ballunar Hot Air Balloon Festival at NASA this week and stayed 3 nights at Beacon Hill. I had a downstairs room with window looking out on the lake. It was peaceful, quiet and beautiful. There was great service and coffee and breakfast every morning. I could go out on the pier in their back yard and see the balloons each morning. It is close to everything you would want for a getaway and the owner was very attentive to everything I needed. I had free internet and a comfortable, well appointed room.. had the run of the house with it's great room overlooking the patio and green backyard leading right down to the lake. It was worth far more than I paid to have this kind of experience. There is covered parking and NASA is only 2 miles in one direction while Kemah Boardwalk is 2 miles the other way. You can fish from the pier, and there many other forms of recreation available in this resort area including water sports and assorted tours. Galveston's Beaches are about 30 miles south.

Right on the water! Serene. Just want we wanted, just what we needed! The warm hospitality and great breakfast added to the overall experience. We recommend it to all our friends and want to come back soon. This really is a hidden gem. She has 2 locations, but we like the one on the lake best -- having breakfast served to us.

My husband and I just returned from our stay at the Beacon Hill B& B on Nasa parkway (she has multiple houses). It was just what we wanted for a weekend away from the kids/jobs. We stayed in the Upper Deck room, which overlooked the lake and was VERY quiet (unless we were the ones making noise!). The room was very spacious, the bed -super comfortable and the bath room was large as well, albeit older decor, we found it didn't take away from the entire package.
The owner, Deidra was the picture of southern hospitality and her breakfasts, divine. The scenery out of the sun room in the back is picture perfect and we will surely come back soon.
We did take a peek at the bedroom downstairs and it is more "frilly" romantic with a four poster bed and lace, bathroom was large too.
If you are in the mood for a very quiet, relaxing weekend - look no further.
The Kemah houses are by the water, but under the bridge, this one however, is in Seabrook only about 5 minutes from Kemah.

If I could give zero stars I could. Don't get me wrong the place is very very cute. It has an old school feel to it. My issue is the owner. For one example, we paid over 100 dollars for a tiny room and a bathroom with no space. The owner left weird and threatening notes the entire visit (see attached). The kitchen is apparently off limits and not included in the overpriced small room. There is no control over the air conditioning. I just tried to turn it down and she wrote me a note "close and lock the door because the a/c isn't working". The owner was mad at me because I had my service animal which she had NOTHING posted online about not being allowed. I left early this morning because I feel she was watching all I do. Cute location, HORRIBLE management. Do not come here if you want to relax. It's like living in your evil grandmas house.

I wish I could get my money back it was traumatic

The swimsuit attached was left by a previous guest after the room was “cleaned”
The “love nest” is very tiny and you are not allowed the use the amenities like the kitchen
***I did buy leashes for my service animals and they were on them and I DID look for a place for them to stay**

Attached is one of the THREE threatening notes

I take this review very seriously. It is a personal attack layered with lies and totally out of character with other reviews. This guest ignored our policies that exist to protect the health, safety, and well-being of our guests. Fellow guests complained of 2 large rambunctious pets barking and running freely in the kitchen and the yard, charging at them. At booking, there was no mention of a service animal or pets when they booked the small budget room. The guest did not have the dogs leashed and did not have control over them. These were obviously pets, not ‘a’ service animal. I spoke to the guest face-to-face about our policies and that the dogs could not stay. The guest agreed. However, they took no action. his defamatory review focuses on insulting the management when clearly the guest reveals they were trying to sneak their pets where clearly not allowed. This guest review should be removed based on slander, lies and personal attacks. Delaina Management

The home is clean but tired and worn; we stayed in the Captain's Quarters at the top of the second floor stair. The room was ok but, nothing like the photo of a beautiful, spacious room like I saw in an add. The proprietor was pleasant and made a nice breakfast... a relaxing place to return to after a day of exploring.

We were so glad you stayed with us. Like you, our guests say coming to the Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful way to relax after a busy day in the area. I am so sorry you were misled by a picture on a website. I have taken all the pictures myself and strive to portray an accurate view of our lovely rooms. As for value, we have the lowest prices of any bed and breakfast on Clear Lake. Please come stay with us again.

We found this B & B on the internet to stay in for our anniversary. We were very disappointed to find it sits directly under highway. The view of Kema was nice but the bands were loud. Quiet it's not. At first glance the accomodations seemed reasonable but as we stayed there we discovered a very cramped shower and bath configuration, an uncomfortable bed and dirty kitchen with crumbs in the drawers and a dirty refrigerator. Generally the place was not clean to our liking. There is only a tiny TV with no cable or VCR capibilities. This B & B doesn't offer breakfast to the guest houses so you need the kitchen if you want to stay in. We were so dissatified that we left early the following morning even though we paid for 2 nights. The owner was unwilling to compensate us for leaving early because she did not see any problem but offered us another nights stay for free. I think we'll pass.

My wife and I just celebrated out 10th wedding anniversary at our very first bed & breakfast at Beacon Hill. The house is an eccentric but tasteful combination of traditional and contemporary design, with hints of Victorian-style furnishings, but also with the flair of modern stylings such as a tiled shower with a fountain (just in the honeymoon suite, we believe). The honeymoon suite also has a 4-poster bed decorated tastefully with mosquito netting, a wall-width mirrored closet that adds a touch of romance, and a 2-seater table for breakfast that sits in front of a window that provides a fantastic view of Clear Lake. The owner, Delaina, is a first-class cook; she prepared and served two delicious breakfasts during our stay that were absolutely mouth-watering, and she brought it to us in the suite! Delaina is an engaging conversationalist with whom we thoroughly enjoyed spending time learning about, as well as sharing our own stories and adventures with her. Our stay couldn't have been any better and we certainly plan to stay there again in the future! If you're looking for a cozy, comfortable place to rest and want to get away from the fancy hotels, do yourself a BIG favor and go pay Delaina a visit - she'll treat you more like a friend than a guest!

My husband and I stayed here the night before and of our wedding just a couple weeks ago, and it happened to be the first time for both of us to experience a bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Sterling King suite on the first floor, and the room was wonderful! The whole place was neatly kept, and the view of the bay from our window was spectacular. The canopy king bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! I loved the old timey decor, and it was a great backdrop for me and my bridesmaids as the photographer took pictures of us getting ready the morning of the wedding.

The biggest gem of the whole place is the hostess, Delaina. Breakfast was delicious on both days we stayed there. We had sweet rolls and fruit the morning of the wedding and a full breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, biscuits, fruit, jam, the works the morning after! Delaina is embodies everything I think of when I think about Southern hospitality from her warm, friendly demeanor to the comfort of her food. She has certainly set the bar high for any further experiences we might have at a B&B!
