I was told the hotel was overbooked at check in although I had booked through the hotel website and had a valid reservation. The front desk was no help in trying to resolve the issue. They had no alternatives or attempted to find a place elsewhere for accommodations. With how late we arrived at the hotel, I was unable to find other reservations within the city. We drove three hours to town and have no alternatives for a place to stay.

This property overbooked and left us without a room. The Front Desk agent was Incredibly rude & said no manager was on site to assist us. We were left cold and without a room and forced to drive back home in the dark. Will NEVER book with IHG again Stay away!

I got a room through a group rate so it was supposed to be cheaper. It was still $175 a night and the fixtures are falling off or coming out in the shower. You can’t move the shower head at all so it only sprays one direction which as a short person sucks lol . The shower when you step in is dangerously slippery so had to use a towel. It also feels like you’re going downhill in the shower and not a little! It’s has been painted to look nice and up to date but I am so upset I am stuck here !!! The elevators have no air so it’s incredibly hot and scary. The lobby is pretty though! If this was under $100 a night maybe but this is ghetto ! I again am so upset I listened to others and booked here! Oh the toilet is wobbly too ! I’m sure there’s more but this is what’s happened in just the short time since I’ve checked in and I’m afraid for this evening and sleep! 1 star do not recommend to anyone unless they can’t find another place.…

Perfect location. Clean quiet great breakfast. The bed was a king, extremely comfortable. Soft water in shower. Only comment is the Wolfgang Puck coffee is awful. Recommend waiting until breakfast buffet opens and enjoy a decent cup.

We tried to reserve a room for a same day stay, they never sent confirmation and when we called while in route to verify a room we were told we did not have a reservation. After learning we didn't have a reservation we booked a room elsewhere. Later that evening I emailed the hotel and told them they messed up, yet they insist there was a reservation and I will be charged $263. I've spent 7 weeks trying to get this straightened out. They refuse to talk to me except to point to their 24-hr cancellation policy and say there's nothing they can do to refund my money. Seems to me if I don't get a confirmation number, and the hotel tells me there isn't a reservation then I can't possibly be charged for a no-show. Corporate help has been circular, pointing me back to the hotel manager who lies to cover her mistake. I've spent at least 3 hours on hold with Holiday Inn, getting nowhere. Corporate says hotels are independently owned and can't get me a refund, yet the hotel is hiding behind a corporate policy that says reservations can't be cancelled 24hrs before check-in. Shady business practices and management that supports liars, I will never spend another dime on any Holiday Inn branded property. Disgraceful.…

I stayed there alone for one night. I left 2 items of clothing on the curtain rod in the bathroom upon checking out at 8AM. I contacted the hotel by NOON to request they store my items. They wrote me the next day explaining that the items were not found. I am positive that the 2 items were there. I am also positive that the management of the hotel took zero responsibility for my misplaced or stolen items. This is a lack of accountability and poor customer service. A manager's response to missing property should not basically be, "So sorry for your loss. Will you come and give us another chance?" I'm sure folks might make false claims. I am not one of those people. The value of my items was only about $50. How about some gesture of regret from the manager instead of an email saying, Oops, sorry about that.…

I had an initial bad experience with the front desk clerk. I originally gave this hotel a bad review. However, after finally getting in touch with the manager I saw this hotel in a different light. The manger was genuinely embarrassed and sorry. She went above and beyond to make things right and it was not fake. I could tell she was genuinely disappointed in the way the staff treated me and ruined my stay. One person having a bad day shouldn’t define the whole charter of this business. I am so happy that my issue was taken seriously and addressed. I will stay here again to see their improvements.

Clean comfortable room and friendly staff. They also have a very reasonable pet policy. Had a chance to talk to the manager Angel who is great at her job and very accomodating. Bonus...a bunch of deer live across the street from the parking which was very exciting for me!

I found this hotel to be very comfortable and although the occupancy was extremely high due to a lot of evacuees being there, I felt like the staff, especially Lizzie and Angel, went above and beyond to try to do whatever they could to accommodate under the circumstances. However, When I get on Tripadvisor and the amenities are stated as being a microwave and refrigerator I expect to have that in my room it; shouldn’t be something I have to ask for. But once I asked, I did get my microwave. I was very happy with the quality of the room overall especially the comfortable beds and assortment of pillows. Again, very high occupancy which meant people had to park out in the street. This was a concern of mine because I heard someone complaining about their truck getting broken into the night before and of course if you’re not in surveillance areas then you have no recourse. There needs to be a better system for accounting for the people that are staying at the hotel and the amount of cars that are there or a better parking situation offered altogether for the future . This is a convention center hotel touting that they’re near the convention center see you expect it to have a lot of people there at times. Not being able to park your car correctly, might mean that emergency vehicles may have trouble getting through. I will probably stay here again under better circumstances. …

We were taking our daughter to Texas State which this hotel is conveniently close to. I will start our with the positives. The customer service was great- I mean really great- the food at the restaurant was good, parking was not an issue, the hotel was was easily accessed from the highway, and check-in was very seamless. However we had multiple things in our room that did not work- refrigerator and the phone- and the hot tub's heater was not working. This however did not bother me as much as what happened when I wiped up a spill on the floor with a towel and when I looked at it the towel was black on the side I cleaned the carpet with. Based on that and the old stains I saw in several places I have to wonder when the last time the carpets were cleaned in the rooms at the hotel and how much attention is truly being given to the sanitization of the rooms. The hotel also needs a few more luggage carts. If the quality of the rooms can come up to the quality of the down stairs staff, this hotel will be top notch. I gave it four stars because of the customer service I have come to expect from IHG hotels.…
