As a late Mothers Day gift my hubby treated me to an overnight getaway to do Gruene Market Days and stay at this wonderful B&B. From the moment we arrived until we left the hosts Jon and Laura made us feel welcome at right at home. We stayed in The Cowboy Suite which was a very large and comfortable room... More

One of the best bed and breakfasts we've ever stayed in - fantastic in every way! The hosts, the room, the swimming pool! We were delighted with the welcome which included a lovely surprise awaiting us in the "Cowboy" room, as we'd booked the "Anniversary Package", celebrating our silver wedding anniversary, so it made a nice treat. Not to mention... More

First let me start off by saying that The Lime Kiln B&B is a quiet and beautiful retreat for any traveler staying in San Marcos. We stayed in the Bombay suite and when you first walk in, you feel at home. Jon and Laura run the B&B and are THE most accommodating. Those two have everything from great breakfasts to... More

We loved everything about the Lime Kiln. John and Laura are wonderful hosts who have great stories to tell. Their three rooms are all beautifully decorated in three different styles – Lighthouse, Cowboy and Bombay. We stayed at Lighthouse, which had a huge bed, and large bathroom with a lot of extra space. We also liked that there was another... More

I just wanted to say that the owners were amazing. My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night- drove thru rain to get here- and it was well worth it. Jon and Laura were wonderful hosts- they stayed in touch with us due to the weather, waited for us to arrive, and even cooked us breakfast the next... More

John and Laura are great folks and this is their true calling. We had the luxury of staying in two different rooms (Bombay, & Lighthouse) over Labor Day weekend. Both rooms were extremely comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. If you ask for some dining options John has a great knowledge of the area and his recommendations were beyond my expectations.... I was so taken aback by this unique bed & breakfast! I wish I could relive this weekend again! John and Lora have a wonderful property with great landscaping and a beautiful pool to beat the heat (especially in this hot summer). The room was absolutely perfect! We chose the Bombay and were pleasantly surprised that there were snacks, a... More

My husband and I spent are anniversary this past weekend. Have to say it was the best weekend we have had in a long while. Jon & Laura are wonderful people. Very welcoming made us feel right at home. The property is amazing. Enjoyed seeing all the deer roaming around. The breakfast was delicious. Will be booking another weekend soon..

Overall the room was very nice. One of the issues I had with the property was that the owners did not turn on the A/C in the room until we all walked into the room after check-in. On a 100 degree day it took hours for the room to cool down. They should of had that baby cranked up many... More

John and Laura made a home away from home for my Mother after her home was flooded over the Memorial Day Weekend. She was able to stay in town and regain some of her independence. Your beautiful surroundings and location were perfect for Mama. Best BnB in the Hill Country!
