We come every year for our annual team retreat and have always enjoyed the Baines House. The rooms are great, breakfast is yummy and the hospitality can't be beat! We appreciate your flexibility in letting us choose which cottages we want.

My sisters and our daughters, a total of six of us, spent a wonderful extended weekend, a Girl's Retreat, at the Baines House Bed and Breakfast in Salado, Texas. We chose the Baines House B&B after careful online review of many of the lovely Bed and Breakfasts in the local area. The B&B consists of quite a few individual cottages,...

We were treated very nicely. the room was great and we were given a chance to choose another room if it was preferable but we liked our room. The homey antiques made it so quaint it was as if we were back in time. The breakfast was terrific and it had a very good location. The bed was very comfortable...

I love The Baines House in Salado, Texas. I go there 4-5 times a year. Great people, ambiance and breakfast - with dessert!. The dining room is decorated differently each visit - always fun to see what's changed. I rotate between rooms as each is unique and special.

We recently stayed at the Baines House to celebrate our anniversary. Based on Sheryl's recommendation we stayed in Chole's Cottage. The room was so cozy and provided us with our own private oasis. The grounds are beautiful and have lots of personal touches. Sheryl and Rod are so warm and nice. The breakfast was delicious and they both would come...

Baines House is a fantastic place for a getaway! Rod and Sheryl are wonderful hosts, and the eclectic, quirky, artistic and historic displays are fascinating. Our food was great, both in quality and presentation. The grounds are lovely with many native plants and all the rooms I saw are charming and uniquely decorated, mostly by Sheryl, who is an accomplished...

I recently spent a weekend at The Baines House with my sisters and their daughters. We probably shouldn’t have planned a weekend in Salado when it was 108 in Texas, but it was the only weekend we had – so we decided to take our chances. Thank goodness we decided to take that chance at The Baines House! Due to...
