My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful anniversary weekend at Wellspring. The accommodations and excellent service definitely exceeded our expectations! Linda and Bob were excellent hosts -- you will not find better! We've been going to Round Top yearly for at least 15 years -- this by far was our best trip! If you are looking for a comfortable and well-priced place to stay......along with a great location -- I would highly recommend Wellspring! JSonnier

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a  relaxing 4 night getaway at Wellspring Retreat in Round Top! Hosts Linda and Bob were gracious and such a joy providing a delicious and beautiful breakfast each morning as well as shop and restaurant recommendations as we headed out to explore each day. Linda even provided us a personalized tour of the Festival Hill grounds and the European Music Hall - a true hidden gem! We stayed in their charming Midnight Express room in the 1854 Railroad Depot. Beautifully decorated with a comfortable king size bed and cooling A/C we slept like babies!  We listened to birds chirp and watched for deer as we enjoyed early morning coffee rocking away on our porch surrounded by flowers and butterflies. Downtown is close by if you are a walker! We were so pleased with our visit. It was hard to say goodbye.  We look forward to our next chance to stay at Wellspring Retreat. Judy & Tim, Plano TX

My wife arranged for us to spend the weekend at the Wellspring. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was a beautiful setting, close to shopping, restaurants, and culture, and best of all a quiet, restful setting for us to recharge. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks to Linda and family for a great weekend.

We just had a family wedding at Wellspring. It was very small, only about 35 adults & 7 children (all but a few were immediate family) This is a beautiful venue. The grounds are immaculate, the food was yummy, beds comfortable, rooms cozy, & houses lovely. If you are looking for a weekend B&B I absolutely recommend Wellspring. If you are looking for a wedding venue I would not recommend Wellspring. The owner is getting older and from our perspective was not able to handle the demands of an event with so many working parts. Her attitude towards us was as if she was doing us a favor. When we asked questions or had issues it was always our fault. There were many things we as a family ended up doing or taking care of that should have been handled by the venue and were in fact in the contract. Thankfully we have a large family that is used to jumping in and helping so we were able to get things done. The wedding was beautiful. The food was delicious. The flowers were lovely. My goal is not to bash the owner or go into great detail about all the issues we had but rather to caution those who may be thinking about having a wedding at Wellspring. If you have a large family that is able to fill in the gaps & get things done this could work for you though I would negotiate the price significantly. We were disappointed with our experience as far as the wedding was concerned but have nothing but good things to say about the venue as a B&B. I highly recommend it for couples, families or even a small retreat that only requires sleeping accommodations and food.

Daxandthara, I am truly sorry for your disappointments. It was a pleasure to host your family for this three day event. I am pleased that you thought the wedding was beautiful, flowers lovely, food delicious, grounds immaculate, beds comfortable, rooms cozy and houses lovely. We definitely had miscommunication about some details and the division of coordination between your oldest daughter and myself. In retrospect, I wish I had reviewed the "day of" expectations with you more carefully. Your daughter and new son-in-law were lovely and we were glad to hear how much they enjoyed it.
