The Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront is frequently celebrated for its impeccably clean and spacious rooms that offer stunning views, according to numerous guests. Travelers are also fond of the hotel's plethora of amenities, which include attentive staff and a variety of dining options. The hotel's inviting atmosphere and pretty layout receive consistent praise, adding to the warm and comfortable experience. Despite the hotel's prime lakefront location, which earns high marks for scenery and proximity to the waterfront, some guests feel the pricing is excessive. While the service generally garners positive feedback, there are occasional reports of poor management and event services.

We decided to take a last minute weekend getaway down to Dallas & chose to stay at this resort due to us being Hilton Diamond members & the great reviews. We were not disappointed! Location is awesome, It’s a beautiful hotel, lovely pool area, great service, food was excellent, drinks were great too. Room was spacious & we had a resort view with balcony and had a nice view of the pool area and lake. Bed was comfortable. So many restaurants & places to spend your afternoon/evening literally all right there next to hotel & within walking distance. We will absolutely be back again & I highly recommend!

We booked a room here for my friends wedding. We went down to grab some snacks, and the person at the front desk where we had to check out just seemed flustered when helping us. The room was under my friends card, so I wanted to pay for the snacks on my card! I believe his name was Jose. He could not figure out how to charge my card, and Adele swooped in and made everything right. She truly made the experience after he had gotten frustrated. She is an asset to this place! Thanks Adele! We will be back because of her!

As a bride who had her entire wedding stay at this hotel I will warn future brides to look elsewhere - specially down the street to the wonderful Marriott Spring Hill suites. My guests that stayed at the Marriott Spring Hill suits during my wedding absolutely RAVED about the employees and how wonderful it was. Go check them out! The way I am disgusted with Hilton during my WEDDING is beyond what you can imagine. The elevator was down for my entire wedding weekend. Guests with disabilities were forced to stay in rooms far from elevators, waiting 15+ minutes for elevators to come down because we had to use the service elevator - which by the way was absolutely disgusting. My wedding dress was totally dirty on the bottom before I even walked out of the hotel to take photos. I ended up changing into a different dress after guests were pointing out how black the bottom was. The manager on duty refused to help, apologize, take responsibility or improve on the experience guests were having. Absolutely mind blowing. The hotel you stay at for your wedding weekend should be the last thing causing you issues… but instead from start to finish myself and my guests were blown away at the way this Hilton property handled itself. Checkout took 35 minutes and then another 15+ min to get our items from our room - since there was one working elevator for hundreds of people. Did I mention that the hotel is clearly trying to retaliate against me by charging me for the rooms robe because it “ had a stain”. Keep in mind I was a bride that had my own bridal robe. The audacity is insane. This review could go on for pages but I will end it here with stay elsewhere for your wedding. *****We were even stopped from taking photos with my wedding photographer INSIDE my hotel and told we needed permits **** so don’t be fooled that you’d even be able to take pictures there. I asked Hilton to look into having my wedding dress cleaned even just the bottom and was told they are refusing anything of the sort This Hilton is “individually owned and operated, matters concerning damage must be held at the hotel level.” As corporate told me, so clearly the standard isn’t held to the same regard.

Planned to stay two nights while in TX, but stayed just one. Hotel was just OK for the price. Had a better stay the second night at an IHG hotel for half the price. The room was nice, but had all the same amenities of other rooms. The pool was not heated and freezing cold. Patio and bar area was messy and dusty. It was obvious that it was off season and not much staff or care in the pool area. Self parking is 15.00 a night. Valet double that.

This hotel was incredible, room was clean, service was fantastic, walking distance to so many restaurants and shops with a great view. Alec at the front desk went above and beyond with service and made sure we were attended to. Janet at Starbucks in the morning was great and crushing the coffee bar. We will be staying here again for sure.

I wanted to compliment Adele at the front desk, she went out of her way to get me several extra waters and a bag for my many snacks from the shop to carry out. It’s the little things like this that keep me a Hilton customer, and especially at Rockwall Hilton! Much appreciated, Adele!!

When I first visited 4 years ago you could eat ice cream off of the floor. Now? Dirty, and not as nice. It's almost like they have cut their maintenance budget. The wall paper was peeling in my bathroom. And honestly, you have probably stayed over at friends homes that were better kept up. It's not horrible, just not worth the price anymore... IMO And parking is an absolute nightmare now on the weekends.

My family stayed at Hilton Rockwall Sept. 2-4. The trip was a combined occasion to celebrate my parents' 60th wedding anniversary and Labor Day. I chose this property because of the location, activities, and reviews. Overall, I was very pleased. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. It was very busy due to the holiday plus three weddings that occurred on the property during our stay. We were assigned a "resort view" room (434) with a balcony and magnificent view overlooking the pool and lake. We had two rooms. The second room (440) was upgraded to "resort view" due to our diamond status. This was a very nice touch. As diamond members, we have never been offered a complimentary room upgrade, which is supposedly a standard benefit. I appreciated being given the upgrade without having to ask for it. ROOM: The rooms are spacious and CLEAN, which is very important to me. There is a small refrigerator and coffee maker, but microwaves are provided by request. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The towels are white and plush. The rooms do show slight signs of age if you look closely, but this is just a minor detail. For instance, the carpet in 434 had large stains and is in need of deep cleaning (or replacement). Additionally, room 440 had a foul odor upon entering that smelled like sewage. We notified housekeeping and maintenance was sent up immediately to fix the issue. We did ask for a different room, but were told none were available due to the hotel being sold out. The offensive smell seemed to dissipate after maintenance cleaned the plumbing. Again, these issues were not deal breakers, but for $300+ per night, I expect more. Also, one of our rooms had a tub/shower combination and the other had a walk-in shower. The type of bath apparently varies depending on type of room booked. I get the impression based on the website photos that some rooms have been renovated while others have not. POOL: Since it was a special occasion. I reserved a pool cabana at a cost of $600 for a full day (10am-10pm). They only rent cabanas by the day, not the hour. In my opinion, the cabanas are overpriced, but I wanted my elderly parents to have a comfortable place to relax while enjoying the pool and lakeside. Was it worth the money? That is debatable and depends on your personal needs, style and budget. I splurged to ensure my parents had a good experience, but probably wouldn't do it otherwise. There are plenty of nice lounge chairs and day beds available as well. If you reserve a cabana, they do give you a complimentary bucket of bottled water, fresh fruit platter, and a $100 F&B credit. The F&B credit must be used in the pool area and cannot be used inside the hotel. The service was good and the pool staff were very friendly. FOOD: We ordered a pizza from the bar while sitting by the fire pits Friday night. The service was marginal. No one checked on us or came to take a drink order. I had to go inside to place the order. We ordered room service for breakfast on Saturday and it was delicious. We all had the Heirloom Breakfast and it was cooked perfectly to order, and the portions were plentiful. Beware! There is a 23% gratuity automatically added to the bill, which I did not notice. I mistakenly added an additional tip, which the front desk gladly removed once I brought it to their attention. Before leaving, we had lunch at Gloria's at the Rockwall Harbor Shops. The food was excellent and highly recommended. There are plenty of restaurants and entertainment conveniently within walking distance. My mother is in a wheelchair and we easily walked to the Harbor Shops and around the marina with no problem. I highly recommend this property. Keep an open mind and you will have a fantastic experience. TIPS: 1. If you are a Diamond Member, valet and self-parking is free. 2. Hilton Honors members receive a $30/day F&B credit. Be sure to ask about this and take advantage of it. 3. Spend a little extra money and reserve a "resort view" room. It's worth it. 4. If you plan to do a boating excursion, purchase your ticket well in advance. My biggest disappointment is that no one acknowledged my parents' milestone anniversary. When I made the reservation, I indicated that this was a 60th anniversary celebration and anything to make it special would be appreciated. I guess my expectations were too high, but I thought the least that Hilton could have done was leave some chocolates or complimentary champagne in the room. Even rose petals on the bed would have been nice, especially as diamond members. No one on staff welcomed or greeted us upon arrival or thanked us upon departure. It felt very impersonal. Regardless, we still had a good time. Overall, this is a beautiful property and we look forward to going back.
