It was our first time staying in a hotel since COVID, I was a little worried. There were hand sanitizer and wipes as soon as we entered , tables were being wiped down as people were leaving and the breakfast was being served cautiously. Rooms were clean.

Cleanliness is what concerns us the most, ant this hotel is perfectly clean. We did some extra sanitizing of the frequently touched surfaces ourselves and found no traces of dust whatsoever. Kind and friendly people at the front desk, ready to help and promptly answer your request. And the man serving the breakfast in the morning is amazing, quick and happy to serve you, with a cheerful smile and a friendly chat. We are also thankful for the fast Tesla charger on the parking lot, very much appreciated. For a long time Rockport-Fulton was a favorite place, now we have a favorite hotel. Will be back soon!

My family was looking for a Hotel with a location near the National and state parks in the area. The Hampton Inn was in the right location and near all the attractions we were interested in. The Inn is in new condition and there were no issues with the room, it was perfect. The staff were very cordial and helpful with the questions I had about the area. This is the first hotel in this price range I ever stayed at that I could not find something that could be better.

Hotel is overall very clean. Room was clean when we got here. Staff was generally pleasant. Housekeeping is suspended "due to covid". It's gross to walk down the halls where people have put trash and dirty towels out to be picked up. -this is a chain wide problem.
At this particular location getting clean towels was like pulling teeth. We were here 4 nights, clean towels are not too much to ask.
Breakfast was a joke. Either provide a decent selection or stop advertising it as an amenity.
There was, individual boxes of cereal-no milk. Warm bottles of juice-no ice available. Packaged muffins, toaster waffles. Same selection every morning for 4 mornings.

We visit Rockport quite frequently and decided to book this hotel because it was a better deal than the other hotels we usually stay at. I had high expectations going in due to this being the newest hotel in town, but I was very disappointed in our stay.

To start with the positives, the facilities were very modern and the decor was nice. The amenities were good for what you pay for. I also enjoyed the integration with the Hilton app (when it worked, which was only about half of the time), especially how you could use your phone to unlock the door and as the TV remote. I don’t think there are any other hotels in town that can do this yet, and it was a cool feature.

Unfortunately, the management at this hotel is probably some of the worst I have seen, even when accounting for COVID bumps through the industry. Check in time is 4:00 (which already seemed super late) but the app allowed you to check in as early as the night before and let you go to your room earlier. I checked in at 10:00 and we arrived at 3:30, and I was told at 3:30 that our room would be ready in ten minutes. Lets just say that I was told this many times and we didn’t end up getting your room until 6:00 PM. Management and employees were very rude when I was just trying to ask what was going on since we had dinner reservations and didn’t want to miss them.

Breakfast was a total disaster. They only had one guy working, and I could tell he was working hard, but it didn’t cut it. Constantly out of everything and everything was very low quality. I know free hotel breakfast isn’t usually considered to be great food, but I’m not a picky eater and some of this food tasted funky.

Some of the design choices in the room also could be improved. I know this is probably corporate’s fault since this is a chain, but this was my first stay in a Hampton, and will probably be my last if this is how they build our new hotels. The rooms are very dark even with all the lights on. The bathroom doors don’t lock and, even fully closed, being a “slider” door, they leave a big gap in between the door frame and the actual door and they don’t fully shut. There’s also no vent or fan in the bathroom. There are tons of USB plugs which is nice, but they are only by one side of the bed. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable and the air conditioner in our room was not working for a majority of the stay. All of the exterior hotel entrance locks were broken so you could only use the front door - not usually a problem, except most of the parking was nowhere near the front door.

Ultimately, while this is the newest hotel in town, the management is probably some of the worst hotel management I have ever seen. I would be more sympathetic if the staff were polite despite the poor management, but the staff were also quite rude. With these issues as well as issues with the facilities, we will never stay here again and recommend the La Quinta or Fairfield down the street. A few extra dollars a night is definitely worth it.

We were excited to arrive and get in the hot tub so I checked in a couple hours early online then arrived to find there was no hot tub for the cold weather as advertised, beds wobbly and uncomfortable and pillows too small to get comfortable. Staff would not allow me to cancel because we needed entertainment for my children and I had booked a whole week to learn there was none as advertised. Breakfast ends at 9am in empty hotel we were there 5 minutes before closing and they had close dip, not even offering a milk carton. Very poor experience nice gym tho!

Newer facility so things are all still in tact and looking great. Rooms had plenty of space-no cramped feeling. Outside grounds look good. Most staff were friendly. Ample parking. Lots of lighting in the room. Was not offered extra points or snacks as Hilton member. The business center is just a printer in the lobby. You have to email your items to them to print-I did not like this for security purposes. While most carry laptops, still a need to occasionally print an item. Masks were required in public areas. Had seal on door to proof clean. Weekday breakfast is grab a sack. Weekend breakfast can be eaten in breakfast area. Attendant was behind counter serving food. Only problem-1 person serving over 200 people! Serving food/beverages except coffee was available for self serve. After standing in line with other guests to get your food, you had to walk right past them with your open food on your plate. I appreciate the extra effort but kinda silly plan. Some tables were marked not for use but room was crowded so had to use them. The price was higher than most Hampton but it is in a high vacation area. I don't know if I would return during Covid but would probably stay again. Pool was nice size but hot tub was not warm & no electronics to start hot tub.

A/C leaked, carpet soaking wet under it. TV screen appeared to have been wiped with a greasy rag. Killed a roach in the bathroom sink. The deadbolt will not secure the room door. All reported to the Desk Clerk. Stayed at the Hampton Inn Alpine, TX the week before. They keep free bottles of water on the front counter for guests. Rockport, TX charges two dollars a bottle. Alpine serves a full breakfast at 6AM, everyday. Rockport serves a full breakfast only on the weekends at 7AM after many guests have checked-out.

Spring break weekend and hotel was full. Surprised and happy they offered hot breakfast.

They were down a housekeeper and didn’t communicate to guests. When we received housekeeping, housekeepers were rude, didn’t finish and weren’t required to wear masks. Disappointed at check out to see more housekeepers without masks on. What’s the point of the COVID seal if masks aren’t worn during cleaning?
Manager offered to make it right but there was no follow through. Disappointed.

Typical Hampton Inn and suites. Everything that I expected from a Hilton property except that we were not acknowledged as Diamond members and the notes on the reservation were not honored, perhaps not read? The main reason my husband and I are faithful to the Hilton brand is the outstanding customer service that we often receive. This visit however it was lacking. Hey, guys, first impressions count and loyalty goes both ways.

Our room in the hotel was clean. Our two bed queen bedroom was quiet and beds were comfortable allowing for a restful night sleep. Bathroom amenities typical for this brand, but no extras that I have received in other Hiltons. Nice pool. Breakfast modified due to the current pandemic and was included. Grab and go bags were ample. Please remember to tip your housekeeping and food servers. They are our behind the scene heroes.
