Typical Hampton Inn and suites. Everything that I expected from a Hilton property except that we were not acknowledged as Diamond members and the notes on the reservation were not honored, perhaps not read? The main reason my husband and I are faithful to the Hilton brand is the outstanding customer service that we often receive. This visit however it was lacking. Hey, guys, first impressions count and loyalty goes both ways. Our room in the hotel was clean. Our two bed queen bedroom was quiet and beds were comfortable allowing for a restful night sleep. Bathroom amenities typical for this brand, but no extras that I have received in other Hiltons. Nice pool. Breakfast modified due to the current pandemic and was included. Grab and go bags were ample. Please remember to tip your housekeeping and food servers. They are our behind the scene heroes.

In light of the covid-19 pandemic I was encouraged to use their digital key which is great. However I truly regret using the app to check out and not reviewing my folio with the front desk. Let me start by first saying that the actual Hotel is well renovated and still has that new feel. I like the smart TV and the ease of USB ports thought out the room. They made a mistake on my final bill and ended up double charging me. I have never been so frustrated by Hilton for their lack of communication and complete ineptitude. I never expected this from a Hilton brand, which usually abides by the "we'll make it right" slogan. It was impossible to reach the front desk as they are poorly staffed. Finally after 5 attempts to reach a non overwhelmed FD agent, I spoke to Quentin who had zero idea how to use the OnQ system and to try to shine some light on this billing issue. I found this laughable since he boasted the fact that he went to school for "technology." After a couple days I was finally able to talk to Jose ( manager, hard to tell since he never gave me his tittle. He did give me his email address to which I sent him my folio with the discrepancy. After another 24 hours, both my emails went unanswered. I asked him on the email for the owners or GM or even accountings direct contact to no avail....I was eventually able to be directly be connected to Jose's extension and spoke to him on the phone. After a few minutes he did acknowledge the discrepancy, for which he never apologized. His tone was also short and devoid of feeling... After our 15mn conversation on the phone, my understanding was that we had a verbal agreement that he would send me a confirmation email that the refund was being processed, I was also expecting for him to reply to my request for the owners and upper managements contact information...However he failed me again. almost a week later, still no email and still no pending refund to my CC. Is this seriously how you treat a Silver Hilton member, or do you need to be diamond or gold in order for you guys to actually give two craps? Ive had to waste a lot of time chasing these people to no avail, furthermore I wasted over 30mns of my time on the phone with my bank to file a dispute and chargeback. This is absolutely unacceptable and should have been resolved quicker and with more sympathy. I checked out of the hotel on June 11th. As of June 20th, the issue had still not been resolved. I will NOT be recommending this hotel and or ever staying there again. Through Quentin, I also found out that the mystery owner also owns the Fairfield down the street, hence I will also not be staying at that hotel either. Please train your employees better and understand that the core values of ANY hotel business do include a sense of urgency, communication, courtesy and professionalism. A little more training on email and phone etiquette could also go a long way for ya'll. I don't believe Jose knows how to login to Outlook... You have lost a loyal Hilton customer. I will now be joining Marriott SPG. The fact that you can barely run a small 90 room hotel is embarrassing. If you happen to stay at this hotel. ALWAYS STOP BY THE FRONT DESK TO REVIEW YOUR BILL WITH THESE GUYS. It will be nearly impossible to reverse any mistakes they make without having to call your bank and file a claim!!

Quiet. Extremely clean. Good comp breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice in-room amenities. Lots of USB ports. Only con was the heavy duvet with no choice of lighter weight cover...just a sheet and the duvet. Too heavy for Texas.

We came to Rockport to give it our first try as being winter Texans. We had a condo rented but they overbooked our condo and didn't have a place for us to stay that had the wheelchair accessibility that I required. In our search for someplace to stay, we stopped for a couple nights at the Hampton Inn in Rockport. It had just opened about 3 months earlier after rebuilding from Hurricane Harvey !!! Well we liked it so much we ended up staying there for 36 nights. The Hotel, being new was all very nice and updated, and the staff was outstanding. They made us feel like family. I would stay at the Rockport Hampton Inn again. The rooms, the breakfasts, housekeeping, the front desk, all top shelf !!!
