We went to Rockport for a quick trip to the beach. We stayed at Quality Inn off Funston Avenue. The place was very clean and updated. Our king size bed was in a large room with a lot of space. Continental breakfast was ok.

During Harvey, Rockport was pretty much wiped out (including all hotels). The hotels worked feverishly to get back up and running. Since the town is rebuilding, the trades are taking up available temporary lodging. If you're looking for a winter vacation, try heading a little further south to Harlingen / South Padre. They escaped Harvey.
