Been coming to PBR for years I checked in on August 2, 2022. I was there to fish and recover from recent knee surgery. Wednesday evening as I was about to sit down for dinner the lights were flickering and ended up going out. They did not come back on until around 3 am. Now remind you we are in South Texas, with current temperatures higher than normal. Thursday, during the day, the same thing. I spoke to the office was not offered any kind of remedy for this unfortunate incident, the only thing I was told was if I decided to leave they would not charge me for the day. I feel like the guests should have been given some kind of concession for the huge inconvenience of no electric therefore no air conditioning. They did nothing. The property is under new ownership and not sure we will be returning. I work in property management and would never dream of treating my residents like this. I gave $175 inconvenience concession to 95 apartments due to the gas being cut off from an unfortunate leak. You have to take care of your people. They need to work better on customer service.

Our cottage provided many wonderful features that made us feel at home. We were able to relax, get some fishing in, and enjoy our vacation. Their private pier is just right, and we felt safe. I recommend Pelican Bay Resort and plan to go back as often as we are able.

Our visit was wonderful! Our cottage was really cute. The pool was great. Great location. Only negative was that the mattress on our bed was in desperate need of replacement. There was a visible divot on one side of the bed. My fiance slept on the good side but I had to go sleep on the couch. We only stayed 2 nights so we just made do.

Great place, feels cozy. Also has a pier for fishing and great environment for families. Guests were older crowd so not a lot of noise we had the pier to ourselves both nights. I highly recommend to stay here. Ps. They are small cottages not just hotel rooms

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the only thing was the hot tub heater was broken. We stay every year on our vacation and will be back still. The fishing pier was great and has bright green lights for night fishing!

The pastel colored cottages & price is what drew us to Pelican Bay Resort. It did not disappoint. Friendly helpful office staff greeted us, The cottages are surrounded by live oaks giving welcome shade in the heat. Each cottage has a small porch with 2 inviting rockers. A great value for the price. The king sized bed was comfortable & bathroom contained toiletries like is found in a hotel. The full kitchen was sufficiently supplied with cookware & dishes sufficient for 4. Everything was clean. The refrigerator had no ice machine or ice cube trays so if ice is important it needs to be purchased. Had a nice looking pool & access to private fishing pier. It was very quiet but is under the flyway of a small airport.Would we stay here again &/or recommend it to others...YES!

We had 4 rooms, including the Lodge, and my family had a wonderful time. We swam and relaxed at the pool area, the kids played on the playground, and then we all went fishing on the private pier. The Lodge has a nice backyard where we grilled and played yard games. The room was clean and well stocked, the grounds are clean and well maintained, the pool was clean and the pool furniture was colorful. The pier was clean and well lit at night. Will definitely return for more fun.

We rented five cottages for a weekend at Rockport for our family. The cottages were very clean, the pool and hot tub were nice and clean as well. We cooked all of our meals in the cottage kitchen and on the grill that was at the cottage. The beach was very clean and five minutes away. Perfect location and space. We will be back next year!

We will never stay anywhere else when we go to the coast! The whole resort is so cute and relaxing. The cottage was so clean, 2 rocking chairs on the patio and a short walk to the pier. We have already made reservations for July with the grandkids and I cannot wait.
