We rented The Villa (part of Pelican Bay Resort) for a short family vacation in September 2020. Property is exactly as advertised. Very large, spacious villa with 4 bedrooms/4 baths. Three of the bedrooms have their own attached bathroom. Our party included 7 adults and 2 children and we each had our own bed basically. Lots of room to spread out. I think there was a TV in every room! The home includes a bar, game room, large entry, sitting room, breakfast nook in kitchen, formal dining room, living room, laundry room, and unique shady courtyard. The fully-equipped kitchen has two ovens, gas stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, cookware, dishware, and utensils. Laundry room has large capacity washer and dryer, and utility sink. Sparkling clean pool and luxurious hot tub. Lots of beautiful landscaping surround the home. After listing all these features there are still more for you to discover! Homeowner/Manager/Staff were quick to respond to questions, courteous and helpful. The villa is located right across the street from the bay and very nice shared, lighted fishing pier. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at The Villa and plan on returning next year! I highly recommend!

The pastel colored cottages & price is what drew us to Pelican Bay Resort. It did not disappoint. Friendly helpful office staff greeted us, The cottages are surrounded by live oaks giving welcome shade in the heat. Each cottage has a small porch with 2 inviting rockers. A great value for the price. The king sized bed was comfortable & bathroom contained toiletries like is found in a hotel. The full kitchen was sufficiently supplied with cookware & dishes sufficient for 4. Everything was clean. The refrigerator had no ice machine or ice cube trays so if ice is important it needs to be purchased. Had a nice looking pool & access to private fishing pier. It was very quiet but is under the flyway of a small airport.Would we stay here again &/or recommend it to others...YES!

We rented a cottage for a quick weekend getaway and it was exactly what we needed! Our cottage was very clean and had plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 kiddos, plus had a full kitchen so that we could eat our meals there and not have to go out to pickup food. The property was VERY clean and the private pier was a major plus. My kids spent the entire weekend out on the pier or in the hot tub. Definitely would recommend this resort!

Mini suite, Very obsolete and will not be returning. $450 for 2 nights; a waste of hard earned money. Accommodations were not so accommodating. My mini suite looked like a motel room. Every thing inside my mini suite was like a motel. The restroom vent was caked up with dust, So I figured if the vent was that bad with dust the housekeeping was not trained properly and other items in my room were overlooked as well. The beds felt like they have not be turned for years, we were sleeping at at incline. Due to sleeping at an incline for 2 nights I have been having back spasms ever since. Our first night we could sleep until 230am due to people drinking/Partying at the pool, which was right in front of my mini suite. The next night the drinking/Partying goers were making there presents known again, But were reported and their party was cut short at 9pm and the gates to the pool area were locked. However, due to the gates from the pool area being locked we were unable to get Ice from the ice machine and snacks from the snack machine. $450 later we had to run to the nearest store to accommodate our selves.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am truly saddened to hear that your stay was less than exceptional. I will certainly bring all matters regarding cleanliness to our housekeeping department to make sure that they are taken care of immediately. If you choose to stay with us in the future I suggest a cottage as they have more amenities inside the unit and can be much quieter as they are not right behind the pool area. We do close and lock the pool at 10 PM to keep people out (to prevent partying) and there is an after hours emergency number in each room for noise complaints as we are a smaller family owned hotel and do not have an overnight staff. If we receive a complaint we always take care of it immediately. Again, I do apologize that we were not able to exceed your expectations and I do hope you give us another try in the future.

427$ two night minimum in the cottage unit. Room had bugs that came out at night, mattress was very used and uncomfortable. When brought to their attention I was given 10% refund I still wouldn’t have paid 390$ for a room in those conditions very disappointed.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. It is my sincerest apologies that your stay was less than amazing. I do want to assure you that we receive a quarterly pest control service and upon notice we will have them respray if a guest has issues. Again, I apologize if the staff did not handle your issue in an appropriate manner.

I normally stay somewhere else in Rockport but booked here because my daughter was staying here. When booking, I mentioned this and was told we were placed next door to each other (which was the intent of my booking here this time). Upon check in, we were informed they had moved us and claimed they never guarantee specific cabins. Even when I pointed out that we were told when booking the exact cabin numbers we were assigned to and also when I asked if the original cabin slept a different amount of people (which it did not), we still were moved to a different cabin than originally told. I was not pleased about this. For the fact that they messed up our plans, we will not stay here again. I will however give my honest opinion of the place. The cabin itself was cute and clean, with a few maintenance type issues like torn blinds. The view was not good in cabin 14 but each cabin is different. The complex layout is cute and would be great as a senior adult living situation. The pool area was clean and towels were provided in the area by the ice machine. The proximity to the pier and water location I felt was a little deceptive, it appeared to be across the street but "in view" as it is at other local properties. The only place it is "in view" is from the one largest rental unit. You actually have to walk through an alley type area to get to the street where the pier is located. The alley walkway was a cement drainage sloped type that made it difficult for toddlers and senior adults to walk. (See pictures). Overall, a decent stay but we will return to our usual place next time.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I apologize that there was a miscommunication in how we handle our placement of people throughout the property. Each staff member should be trained to inform guests who request specific units that we do not guarantee room numbers but also to leave a note requesting the specific accommodation that you asked for. We do try our hardest to accommodate room requests however, sometimes it is not possible and we apologize that it was not communicated properly to you. Also, to address the comment regarding the view of the property, we try our hardest to make sure that our online presence is not deceptive and we are working on a "to-scale" property map for our website. I can assure you that none of our pictures online show that any of the units (with the exception of the Villa as you mentioned) have a view. There are options on other booking sites that we have intentionally left off such as "close to the beach" or "water view" as to not deceive our guests. Again, if this was somehow mis-communicated to you we greatly apologize.

PBR used to be a great place, with the new ownership lots of things have changed. 1st rates have been raised which would be fine if the following things were not changed. No longer provide coffee filters, hot tub not heated “ but the bubbles work”, pool was filthy, you now must strip your room of bedding and linens, and take trash to the dumpsters, I guess I’m an employee, you only get one set of towels per stay instead of house keeping service each morning to take trash and leave new trash bags and switch your towels. The trash bags were so thin it ripped and I spent a bit trying to clean it up to haul it to the dumpster, at least provide quality trash bags, also no one is in office after 5 pm so if you need anything or there’s an emergency you have to wait till the next day. There is no after hours number just the office number where no one is at. Extremely disappointed, was a favorite getaway, now will no longer be staying here, it’s terrible. The staff is still very sweet and do what they can, but new owners have ruined this fantastic getaway trying to cut corners and save on cost of running a business in hospitality.

Beautiful setting and comfortable cabins. The fishing pier was an easy walk from the cabins and lighted for night fishing also had parking for someone who might have trouble walking. The swimming and hot tub were well maintained. Loved the hot tub. We definitely will plan a return trip.

This place was phenomenal! It was quiet and clean. My wife, my son and I all looked forward to returning from adventures and relaxing in our quiet cottage. Taking a walk down the lane was pleasant. Rocking chairs on the porch made it easy to sit and wave at our temporary neighbors. We stayed for 4 nights and have already started planning our next trip to PBR. The location is great for amazing food and activities but isolated enough for peace and quiet during all hours pf the day. The pier was very clean and we fished daily. The walk or drive down is easy. Take advantage of the local bait shops if this is your first visit. They put us on some monster black drum. Can’t wait to come back!! (Our chihuahuas loved the sniff-ploration walks in the area.)

WOW WHAT AN AWESOME PLACE !!! We stayed in a Cottage and loved it. Actually asked if we could buy the unit. Entire campground and units are very clean and well kept up. Swimming pool area was lots of fun. You can tell hard work goes into the entire place. We enjoyed some family over and grilled steaks and it felt like home. Fishing pier is wonderful, it has ample lighting and several green lights in the water for the fisherman. We even caught a few trout. Overall this is one of the best places in Rockport area. Cant wait to book another visit.
