I arrived Wednesday afternoon the ladies and front desk were very pleasant. The property it’s self is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. I had dinner at the bar and was amazing and the bartender was super friendly. The GM Ashley went out of her way to make my stay comfortable. I drove up from San Antonio and let me say it was definitely worth the drive. I recommend this Inn 100%. Fantastic staff

This was my pick for a birthday driving getaway to our TX coast. Looked good on paper. King suite with Aransas Bay view was great. We didn’t realize that many restaurants were closed on Sunday and Monday which causes crowds and delays to those that are open. Then came bedtime. The airplane engine of an air conditioning unit was located in our bedroom and not the main room. It would kick on and off every 7 minutes or so. My husband didn’t sleep at all and I needed Ambien to get any kind of rest. We stayed one night and drove back home. I wish someone had reviewed this point so I could have made an informed decision prior. Thanks for this forum.

I really hate to say this but I was not impressed at all. I’ve stayed there previously and everything was really great but this time I have to say it wasn’t. The ac unit in the bedroom was so loud we had to sleep on the pull out bed in the living area and that mattress was horrible and we slept on that for 2 nights. So we didn’t even really sleep in the bed I really paid for! One day we came back from the beach and they hadn’t stocked us up on towels so we had to go to the front to get that. Then we came back from the beach the next day and I realized they had taken my hair towel that I had brought from home which was green and all their towels are white so I don’t know why they would take that?! There are other things I could say but I think u get the point that we weren’t very happy there. Needless to say we will not be back.

The Inn is a comfortable stay for a short stay. The structure is old and "weathered", but I informed that the rooms were completely redone in 2017 after Hurricane Harvey. I'd say the rooms are equivalent to a Hampton Inn or Best Western. Buffet breakfast was very good, limited buffet, but offered the breakfast basics (eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, waffles, biscuits and fruit). Housekeeping seemed understaffed - our room was not cleaned until late in the day and towels were not refreshed. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Website was a bit misleading - the pool does not overlook the Bay. The pool overlooks the parking lot. If you want the views, you need to request the Bay view rooms.

We have stayed at the Light House several times without any disappointment. It is now our little go to place. The girls love it and are always excited if we even mention the name Light House. So my 5 stars don't just reflect Marble floors and Chandeliers at On Broadway, And I have to give it to the Light House Inn. The Vibe is amazing ! Its like walking into history. Just walking through the doors ; the Escape has begun. So checking in at the front desk has always been filled with anticipation of things to come. Off to the room we go. Girls take off with the room key, Nancy and I are officially in sloth mode awaiting those fabulous heavy cotton sheets and bed that feels like a huge pillow. We love the Rooms . Separate room with door , the feel and decor of a fishing village is on point, all pun intended. Great view if your on the Bay Side of the water an d finger pier. Pool side is not bad at all, but myself, I like waking up with a view of the water if I can help it. Having Dinner was pretty great too. I had a request on how I wanted my steak and asparagus cooked. So Chef came to the table. He did not disappoint. All of dishes came out Perfect. Wait staff there make you feel like family from the time you are seated till you leave. Its time like these that I get show our appreciation of Great Service , Food and Ambiance when signing the bill. Sometimes you just have let the Greenbacks fly. This is long winded I know. We just like this place and the staff. Its a hop skip and a jump to all that can be had. Yes there are less expensive rooms, I literally have stopped at all to view the rooms for cleanliness and feel. There are more pricier too. For the money , cleanliness this is my spot. So make this your destination stop next time your in Rockport ,Tx. Thank you Lighthouse for the memories and more to be made. Todd, Nancy and kids.
