After miles and miles of Texas the claw foot bathtub and unbelievably comfortable bed are welcoming arms!! The hostess is extremely friendly and the hotel is clean and neat as a pin. You will not want to depart after enjoying a delicious breakfast.

Wonderful evening of "who dun-nit" fun with Ian and Ruth. We brought a total of 8 couples to have a fun getaway. The dinner was very delicious and breakfast was just as yummy. Our rooms were cozy and clean and decorated beautifully. This is our 3rd time to book this and I'm already looking forward to the next.

Hotel Garza is a charming B&B in a historic building on a cobblestone main street. Beautifully restored, with a meticulous backyard garden. Hide-away library upstairs. Breakfast was off-the-charts (Ruth's soft-scrambled eggs are the stuff legends are made of). Safe parking on street for bike - plenty of Texas highways to explore.

You must stay at the Garza Bed and Breakfast if you need to stop anywhere near Post, TX. Ruth and Ian are wonderful hosts (and cooks). They have restored this original hotel in Post to at least, probably better than it's original! The rooms are beautiful and well appointed albeit a little small as they are the original Hotel Rooms.... More

Well planned event that left you biting your nails to figure out "whodunit". The food was amazing. The hotel & rooms are designed for beauty & comfort. Great for a couples or friends getaway. Definitely a trip to repeat again & again.

An outstanding stay! One of the best B&B's I've stayed at. Ian and Ruth have done an amazing job. I would recommend staying there you won't be disappointed. They go all out on the breakfast. We had a valentines dinner that was fantastic. Thanks!

This hotel was a lovely place to visit after a very long day on the road. It was as my wife described it like a "Stately Home" in Texas style. It made for a great sleep in very comfortable and well appointed rooms.

We have stayed here for a few years when we went to the area for a football game. It's a cool hotel and filled with nice antiques. Our most recent stay will be our last. We could not get ice. Pipes on first floor clattered at night. Same menu both days. Trains outside the door at night. Etc. Main problem:... More

Hotel Garza just had its Centennial birthday party and it was a lot of fun. Plenty of easy going folks were sitting outside enjoying the music and making new friends. The place was a sale out; and, I can certainly see why! Additionally, the updated rooms had all the luxuries of home, yet the lobby truly brought us back a... More

Great "halfway" stop enroute between DFW and Ruidoso, NM (about 4-5 hrs each way). Great beds, lovely restored/updated historic hotel and grounds, great breakfast. Ruth and Ian, owner/operators, are extremely personable.
