This is a very nice place to stay. The staff are as friendly as can be and very helpful. It’s an older hotel but the bathroom and shower have been updated. The room had a tile floor which is nice. The air conditioner works great. The room isn’t all that big but we only sleep there. The room was very clean with very soft towels and the breakfast was enough for us. Visit The Stingray Restaurant, homemade burger and chicken strips, not frozen, and we’re tasty. A young crowd was there. Also about 10 minutes away The Island Italian Restaurant was great. The staff was super friendly, the food delicious and the prices were very good.

Per TA reviews and folks at eating establishment, we located and secured a nice Amelia Earhart themed room with 2 comfortable queen beds, refrigerator, microwave, table w/2 chairs, coffee maker, hairdryer, and a nice walk-in shower. Tile floors a plus, linens were good, and TV selection good. COVID-19 breakfast selections room delivery was by selections chosen the night before. We like to patronize small mom and pop places like this. Stephanie at check-in selected #23 w/only one step for us to enter to accommodate limited mobility. Bar food nearby. Beach and ferry were nearby. Only issues were the dirty AC filter and refrigerator freezer needed defrosting. Pool was cold but seating adequate and spa was not working. We would definitely stay again and recommend as alternative to name brand hotels.

My husband and I stay here every time we visit Port Aransas. We like airplanes and so do the owners of Amelia's Landing Hotel. Each room has an aviation theme, and we like supporting mom and pop businesses like this one. Breakfast is delivered to your room each morning. During the day I had the swimming pool to myself. I recommend this hotel to all my friends.

We checked in Tuesday, last week, checked out on Thursday morning. On arrival, the motel was quaint, clean, and quiet and remained like that for our stay. The room was comfortable, though a bit small for the queen bed. A sign on the mirror warned of water shortages, so don’t run it too long to get hot in the shower ‘cause it won’t, nor would the cold water get cooler the longer it runs. Breakfast orders placed the night before were delivered to our door by 7:30a.m. each morning. However, though coffee packets were included, how do you get water hot enough for coffee ? There was a microwave in the room, along with a fridge, but my immediate reaction was about the water situation, so we didn’t try the m/w to heat the water. The only other negative was the wi-fi was less than appreciable. The office told me they had two wi-fi, but once I logged in there was only one point on the signal on either of them. These reasons are why I have not given them a more positive rating.

This hotel is so clean. It's quiet. For the first time in many years I was able to get good sleep in a hotel. This is something that never happens. Breakfast being delivered to the room is a huge bonus, especially with kiddos. This will be our little home away from home when we get to visit the island. I've already recommended Amelia's to my family. We like to support mom and pop type businesses, and Amelia's is a perfect example of mom and pop doing it right!

This hotel is the neatest place. Each room has their own theme and the information on the walls was a fun thing for my family and myself. People were friendly and the staff made sure we had a great stay. The breakfast was delivered to your room early in the morning. The muffins were AMAZING! We will be sure to stop here again during our next visit. Great place for a family. The pool is clean and refreshing when you want to take a break from the beach. Great location!

Thanks for the kind words! Just curious: What would we need to add to receive a 5 star review? We are always looking to improve, but have frankly run out of ideas for additional services or amenities. What would you need to see before adding that extra star? Sincerely, -- Jay Honeck Owner/Innkeeper

Their advertisement touted the ability to cancel a reservation for no charge. Then they gouged me $110 for the first night of a cancelled stay, and when I responded crossly, they blamed it on Booking.com. I'll NEVER call them again. And I can't imagine I'll ever reserve a room through Booking.com either. The term "Nest of thieves," comes to mind.

We are sorry for this issue, but your third party reservation (made with another company -- not the hotel) had a clearly stated non-cancellable inside 7-days policy. You had to click "I agree" to receive this rate. A rate which, BTW, we are now required to pay a commission to Booking.com for. You also received an email from Booking.com, and a separate email from us, outlining the terms you agreed to when you booked the room. I simply do not know what else we could have done to make this any more clear. Moral of the story: Book directly with us to avoid confusion. -- Jay Honeck Owner/Innkeeper
