I stayed at The Dunes in June '17. We were in #708. Fabulous condo w/ breath taking views. Housekeeping came by daily w/ fresh towels and kept us stocked w/ paper products. We've never had that service before in a condo. They also had bags of ice available for purchase and vending machines. The pool area was nice and clean. Never had trouble finding parking. On the down side, the pool noise echoes up into the condos front bedrooms and people were partying out there late. It should really close at 9:30 pm. Our stay was pre-hurricane Harvey. My thoughts and prayers are with all Dunes employees and the people of Port Aransas. I hope to someday be able to return to Port A and see it thriving. One Love.
The lobby areas were a bit out dated, however, the condo we stayed in 909, was very nice, loved the setup of the condo and perfect size. The grill outside is on a small back porch out back down by the boardwalk, which u would grill and bring in to condo food. The condo building is right across the beach rd, very convenient to run back and forth if need be.
I was planning on staying only one night with a friend. But because of the beach being so close and the staff being so considerate to my needs I decided to stay another night. :) Thank You Joan, Jeremy, Felipa and 6 maids that came in and cleaned my room during my second day stay :) dj2dq
Unit 406 The unit had bed bugs. We reported it to the person on duty but no response from management or the owner. There was major renovation going on in the lobby disabling one of the two elevators. Expected at least an apology for the bed bugs - what a hassle!!!
Beautiful sunrises on one side and beautiful sunsets from the front deck and a water view from every condo---and a water view to boot!! Comfortable condos and a staff that makes you feel like family...what more could you ask for in a winter sojourn.
