This motel looks its age on the outside, but the rooms have been updated. The staff at the front counter are anything but pleasant To the guest. They appear to have the attitude that the customers are an annoyance to them being at work. I don't know if this is because they have their children to deal with why they are trying to work, or just plain bad attitudes. The room was clean and modern, but we had to completely pull the bed apart to fix the base to the bed that had fallen apart and was causing the mattresses to be unbalanced. We would sit one one side and the other would pop up. One of the lamps was missing a light bulb. Room118. The door did not fit the door frame thus light came through the door. It made us feel like we were not truly secure. The continental breakfast was good: Belgium waffles shaped like Texas, biscuits and gravy, cold cereals, bagel, English muffins, coffee, hot chocolate mix, orange juice. The room over all was nice and modern and clean. It was the cheapest and nicest for the money in the area. I would stay there again, but I would address the clerks attitudes in the future if need be.

For being one of the cheapest places to stay in Odessa, this motel is fairly nice. My husband and I stayed two nights in a second floor room facing the highway. Yes, there is highway noise, but that should be expected based on the motel's location and design. That should be clear to anyone looking at a map and pictures of the location. We didn't have any encounters with unsavory individuals, nor were we disturbed by other guests making noise. Maybe we were lucky in that regard. The room itself was clean--not spotless and shining, but clean. No bugs of any kind. The bed was comfortable except that the pillows were wimpy. The air conditioner was FANTASTIC. I noticed that the air conditioner had a plastic guard over the top of it to keep the cold air from being blown up into the window curtains, and I think that helped keep the room cool. The wifi, microwave, and fridge worked just fine, as did the shower. Other than the pillows, there wasn't much to complain about. I'm not a fan of carpeted flooring in general, but that's 95% of hotels, so I can't really dock points for that. If we had to stay in Odessa again, we would consider Motel One.

Checked in was not expecting much because of location and price. But it's nice the staff is friendly the rooms are clean.p p The breakfast is waffles, cereal toast or begals could use some juice instead of just coffee and milk. Yes there is a train but we are right next to office and have not been woke by it yet. And yes lot of workers here but have not seen any wildness or loud partying yet and been here a week. Would recommend if you want clean friendly and don't want to pay an arm and leg we pay 102 a night that's tax and all

I stayed at this hotel several times over several months. The last time I stayed there, there were prostitutes propositioning me all evening. I could not sleep due to the noise in the parking lot. An obvious drug deal happened just down the hall. When I checked out I tried twice to contact the manager, but he would not return my call. You are not safe in this hotel!

I stayed here on a work trip. It looks like a run down crack house. Once in the room there were cigarette ashes in the corners of the carpet. Big stains on the carpet. The towels were used and re folded up. One had makeup on it. Upon returning to the room one night I was informed I had been checked out due to someone calling them and telling them a story that I was gone and they took all my stuff out of the room then re rented it. When I got my stuff back I found that there were expensive items missing. Had to call the police and file a report. There are people hanging out on the walk ways, hookers asking for dates and one night I had to shut off my a.c. due to my room filling with weed smoke from the guys outside my room. This place is absolutely terrible and should be shut down.

Motel None, as in None should stay here. Just nasty rooms, unhelpful staff, noisy location, extremely small rooms, dirty AC. Maids trolley going by the rooms sounds like a train going by. Maids use this cleaner that rapes the oxygen out of your lungs, so omnipresent; can't smell anything else - even after you aren't in the rooms

Bugs ! Bugs !! Bugs!!! Run Away !!! Only highway & oil workers stay here & they warm up their diesel trucks at 5 a.m. for an hour. LOUD Trains going by all night. The rooms are like renovated closets; so small you can't change your mind in the room. Microwave was disgustingly dirty, and sink clogged- even after I told the maids about it, and they cleaned, it still was clogged ! Dust filled AC only a foot from the bed. Door had a half inch to inch gap between it and the door frame, so weather/noise from maids comes right in. No insulation in the walls: you can hear Everything on both sides of your room.Flea bitten and I mentioned it to management, and they insinuated that I was lying, even after I sent them pictures while I was still in the Room !!!

General Manager Miguel Menjivar kept lying to me, saying that he hadn't heard from his staff that I had a nightmare experience from the drunks partying right outside my door that all the noise was coming from, past midnight. He needed to talk to them Monday morning, and he would get right back with me; yet never followed up. I complained to the front desk at midnight about the noise, no effect, I call back 20 minutes later when the noise is still going on, no effect. I finally had to call the police to try to get some sleep, and after they showed, they dispersed the drunks who had been drinking for the last 6 hours at least. Then one of the drunks went to the front desk and she told them my room number!!! Then they waged war on me and they kept me up all night, stopping by every hour, on the hour, making noise directly out side my door; screaming, cursing, & dropping cans onto the concrete, etc: terrorizing me. Miguel was never there when I asked to see him, he lied, avoided me, and then insinuated that I was lying !!! Then when he wouldn't believe that the bugs bit me, and that I needed a Dr's note saying that it occurred at his hotel during that time frame, I was insulted. I'm an hororable discharged Marine; how dare you ! Then when I told him that I was going to share my review with the internet, he said 'do not forget that we know who you are". WOW ! Now he's threatening me ! Don't stay there, spare yourself the misery.

Check towels if two of you as they only put 1 set per room regardless of reservation. The front has trains but was told the back has more noise. Think they meant low life's partying and fighting. No coffee maker in room, have to go to lobby.
Worth $40 a night for two but charge more.
