My husband stayed here for 2 months and I visited on the weekend. this is a great RV park. It is kept very clean, the management are very helpful and great people. They have get togethers in the pavilion on Friday nights with movies or games, free to anyone who wishes to attend. The wifi was good for the most part, but when there are a lot of people on it, it might be a little slow. That is anywhere though, unless you have your own internet to take with you. Definitely not a deal breaker. We should be back there later this year and would recommend them to anyone!

We stayed one night at this Forest Retreat RV Park on our trip to Broussard. We full time RV so it was nice to get a good night's sleep on our trip Broussard. My wife found this place and it turned out to be a good find. We drive a Volvo semi that pulls our Spacecraft Trailer, so we are always careful to ask the right questions before we book. Shane and his wife were waiting for us when we pulled in to help us get to a spot and were super helpful. Nice folks that go out of their way to make us feel invited and safe. Thank you!

I have been here before. The previous managers were let go since then. The maintenance was horrible. Steve and Debbie and crew have turned the place around. New sod has been laid in areas that were worn, beautification of the gardens and pool area, and security cameras have "outed" those who refuse to pick up their dog poop. No vicious are allowed. Internet is upgraded since the last visit and will accommodate "Smart TVs". The fishing is good too. Valley Ranch shopping is close by and the water park on 242 is just a few miles north.

This is a beautiful well-maintained RV Park not far from downtown Houston. The people are friendly and the sites are large. Be advised if you stay there do not under any circumstances let them put you in space 101. They put us there and with our slides out we were less than three feet from the trailer next to us. The rest of the sites are large and spacious so just be careful were they assign you.

Park appears clean and well maintained. However we were placed in#101 which had no patio and was very narrow. You could stand & touch the both of the rigs slideouts standing in the middle. There were lots of other sites open

this RV park started out to be gr8 when the orig owner was there. when he had to sell it due to failing health, the new owners took away all the free amenities, like the free cable & wifi they advertise, u have to get ur own tv. and they do have wifi, however they are using a residential router, for commercial use. so bring your own wifi! the man who kept the place clean, kept, secure, checked the pool chemicals every day, picked up trash door to door, etc.. i understand has left them. Forest Retreat & i will never consider that place again. the lady in the office is very rude. they have no overnight handicap parking spaces, and sent an eviction notice to me, for parking in the vacant space next to me, cuz its the only place i could get my wheelchair out of. in overflow, if someone parked nxt to my van, i was just stuck till they left. it seems they only want seniors there, no young families. there are too many RV pks in the area to put up w the BS at Forest Retreat!! GO ELSEWHERE!! …

We have been trailering for over 40 years and this is definitely one of the nicest, well-equipped, best maintained parks that we have stayed. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean and Rose takes great pride in ensuring this. Plenty of hot water in the showers and the bathroom heat worked well - a big help in our unusually cold weather visit. There seem to be a lot of long-term visitors, which usually means a lot of clutter but not at this park. Staff is very friendly and helpful, plus cable and wifi worked great. Despite the name, there are not a lot of trees which is likely more of an issue in the summer. Away from the main road far enough to be quiet. But, that makes it a bit off the beaten path and a somewhat more difficult to find and get to.

We stayed here on our first outing in an RV! The park is easy to find, it's clean and the spaces are nice and big. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They advertise free wifi and cable tv and neither was a disappointment. The wifi was fast and the tv had a good variety of channels. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for 4 nights in a motorhome. The park is very clean and very convenient to Kingwood where our friends we were visiting live. We enjoyed having the dog run where we could let our 2 golden retrievers run off leash. The bathrooms are clean and nice. The game room was spacious and would have been a great place to have game night if we'd had the time. We'll definitely be back next year when we come for another visit. This park is big rig friendly.

I'm in a 6 month contract at a local company and have stayed here for the past month so far. The experience has not been bad, but some irresponsible campers do not clean up after their dogs. I have a dog and understand how important this is. A suggestion for the park owners to help improve this would be to place bag stations throughout the park to encourage clean-up. Otherwise, the park is well maintained and quiet most of the time. They pick the trash up daily at your site and the clubhouse is open around the clock with a passcode. The sites are concrete and pretty level. There's not a lot of space between sites but more than some parks I've been to. It's convenient to the highway. Wifi had been pretty reliable for the most part and I understand they've recently put in more transmitters to improve the connection. …
