This is a great retreat place. The food around the place is amazing. Is so quiet and peaceful and we always stay at the Villas! No neighbors to hear their loud kids. We go back every year! The suites are super large and everyone has a place to rest!

My wife and I traded into this resort and were quite pleased with the space. We had planned to bring friends along but they didn't have time. The place is a little dated but still comfortable. It is all stairs to get in so keep that in mind. We both liked how they were their own self contained large cabins. No worries about hearing your neighbor. The kitchen table was a bit large for the space IMO. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked. The staff was fantastic. Even tho it was February we were able to canoe along the river and the staff got everything together for us. There is plenty to do in the area but Austin and San Antonio are only an hour away.

First, the units are outdated but you have everything working in order. It is as though, you are visiting grandma and grandpa out in the hill country. After you get past that, then you can start enjoying the location and everything that nature can offer. All types of birds wake you up every morning. The access to the river cannot be beat and the amenities are awesome!

Super friendly staff, very clean accommodations. The decor is a bit dated, however very comfortable facility. Our villa had quite a few stairs - so if this is a concern for anyone I would reconsider another unit.

This was a first time visit for this resort. The tree top villas all situated on a hill side allowing each unit to have their own spectacular view. The unit I stayed at during spring break was not kid friendly being that there was not any yard for playing nor space for a family barbeque. There was a daily parking fee for daily or overnight guests. Nor was there ample parking for guests at the villa. One of the bedrooms was not provided with any furniture i.e., nightstand or dresser. There was a kids pool, and other activities, games provided for family fun.

We stayed here end of January during a lovely ice storm )-: It’s a beautiful setting in the midst of the rolling hills and access to the river. It’s a great place for kids and dogs. A dog park to run your dog and lots of activities for kids (2 pools, mini golf, etc.) The only downside is the internet - mostly nonexistent. If you like living off the grid when here, then it’s perfect.

By the pictures I saw and their website I was expecting something grand. We stayed in the Villas. I think we got the worst one they had in our row of 8. It was well equipped but was old, very outdated and had termite , damage, paint missing and the roof had leak stains.

My then-fiancee and I called and booked a tour with the owner of this property during Christmas break because we were looking for places to have our wedding party stay and have our rehearsal dinner, because we were getting married 15-20 minutes from Summit. From the second the tour started, she was unprofessional, immediately talking crap about our wedding venue of choice. She continued to bring it up throughout the tour and my now-wife, mom and I all thought it was aggressive. She then asked what dates we were looking for and we told her, then she drew up a quote for us. We didn't ask for any discounts, just a quote, and she gave it and understood we needed a few days to crunch the numbers and decide. When I called to pay the deposit about 10-14 days later, within the timeframe we'd told her and for the exact dates on the quote she'd given us, she then decided she could no longer fulfill her end of the deal, "because I have members who might want to come." She left us scrambling to find a place with no remorse and was extremely unprofessional on the phone during this interaction. I will never spend a dime at this "resort" and will never let any of my friends or family give her money, either.

Planned a trip for our family off of photos on their website... We stayed in #6 tree top villa..First there were a LOT of exposed nail heads coming out of the decks that also needed painting.. Forget about walking barefoot on them without wrecking your feet...The master bedroom deck has extreme heat rot around doors.. Very outdated decor, not enough plates/silverware for 6 people . Washer was out of service. Jacuzzi tub is in basement of home and outdated/dirty.. Main pool great ! Other needs paint.. House was clean, comfortable beds, cute but not spacious .. Will not chose this location again...Felt like for 1700.00 for a weekend, it should have been nicer..
