Unit is in a great location right on the Guadalupe River. However, it is very dated and not very well maintained. In over 30+ years of timesharing, this is the second worst unit we have stayed in. The stove oven racks were caked with spilled food and had items hanging from them. They had not been cleaned in years. Dish rack to put washed dishes was full of dirt, hair dryer was laying beside a toilet plunger and toilet scrub brush - very unhygienic. Overall impression is that unit is not very well maintained and is years overdue a rehab and update. Great location was also convenient to I35 which made it easy to get to San Antonio, San Marcos, Salado, and other towns. No guide on TV - had to search channel by channel to find items to watch. Guest book in unit was very basic, no guide on whether or not an inventory is required, no instructions on how to check out, did have a page explaining that refrigerator might not cool food or drinks for 24 to 36 hours. If fridge is that bad, maybe they should replace it. Microwave over stove had handle broken off and door stood ajar. Instead of replacing it, they had put a countertop microwave to be used. It did have a washer and dryer that worked well and after we turned the fridge ice maker on, it worked also. Unit could be very nice if it was updated and was better maintained. Maids who clean between guests should make sure TV remotes work, that all lamps work (no burned out bulbs), that Kleenex are in unit (none were so we went out and bought some for our use), MBR fan chain needs to be lengthened as all night, the pull tab kept banging on the light globes and it sounded like bell going ding dong all night long.

This is hands down the worst place we have stayed. It is very dated, seems more like an old apartment bldg. from the 70s. The appliances were broken, the 30+ yr old stove/microwave is pathetic. The handle on the microwave was broken and also the fridge. The fridge was always loud, placing settings on recommended temps, it never turned off. Carpet is dirty. AC vents are filthy. Bathroom floor grout was just down right filthy. The windows lost their seal so you can hardly see out of them with the condensation. Luggage cart is handy from your parking place to the CURB! No ramp to get it in the elevator. No appeal in the décor, very sterile. The furniture is like sitting on a beanbag chair with a back. Very uncomfortable...probably 20+ years old. The ONLY positive is that it's on the Comal river.

If you want to be on the river this is the place to be. Small two bedroom apartment type units. Parking for only two vehicles but if you get one on the outside, plan to leave it there because you might not get it back. Pool needs to be cleaned more often but you’re there for the river. Definitely a good place to stay just for river access alone.

Didn't stay there but was exposed to what I think were guests staying there. A bunch of middle aged dudes hanging out in the river spraying women with water gun's, ogling women floating by and non-stop playing of 80's songs with lots of Leonard Skinner while occupying the wall to the center of the river. My early 20's daughter said "now that I know who stays here, I would never stay here- too sleazy"

We loved this resort. It was right on the Comal river and we were right on the riverfront. Very peaceful and relaxing. Our unit was mostly updated and very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. We had a great time here! It is also near San Antonio so were enjoyed going to the zoo and the Mexican market.
