The Texas Cottage was wonderful! It’s quiet and peaceful but only a block from the Comal River. It’s a 10 minute walk to a variety of excellent restaurants, coffee shops & bakeries, a saloon and 444 Tubing. The Cottage is clean and the beds are comfortable. It’s stocked with everything we needed for a lovely vacation. I would definitely stay again.

This is a fantastic Inn to stay at when visiting the New Braunfel’s location. The location of the Inn is in a very peaceful location, the room was beyond clean, the outside porch area was equally clean, the continental breakfast was from a local bakery which was delicious, the bed was very comfy and the owners are very nice people. I would highly recommend this place to a couple or a family visiting the area. You can feel the quaint, historical feel of this Inn.

Fantastic place, great location. My wife and I stayed three night and loved the Cypress Room. Downtown is a very easy walk from Comal Inn, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the front deck area is a quiet, peaceful place to enjoy coffee in the morning or a drink in the afternoon. We recommend the Comal Inn highly and will definitely stay there again if we return to New Braunfels!

Quaint quiet place within about 3 blocks of dowtown NB. The owners were very hospitable and accommodating and we really loved the room-it had everything necessary and then some and very clean and comfortable. I liked that it had a ceiling fan but wish we could have turned it up higher. We had activities planned in Gruene and this was about a 10-12 minute drive

The Comal Inn is a quaint group of cottages and rooms close to downtown New Braunfels. We stayed in the Texas Cottage, which provided ample room for myself, husband and father. The beds were VERY comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and stocked with cooking and dining items, if you decide not to eat out at the numerous restaurants nearby. Breakfast goods ( fresh fruit, banana bread, cereal, yogurt, juice and milk) were left for us, intended for 1 morning, however there was plenty for us for the entire 4 day stay. Brett, the innkeeper, was friendly and helpful, ensuring that our pipes did not freeze in the below freezing temps. The cottage also has an inviting front porch with 4-5 rocking chairs, which would have been lovely to use had the weather not been so cold.
Check- in and check- out was a breeze and communication was timely and helpful. We will definitely return when the temperature is warmer and we can take advantage of the close proximity to downtown. 😀

Great stay in New Braunfels! The Comal Inn was a perfect relaxing stay at the beginning of our week and at the end. We stayed in the Laurel Room and also the Juniper Room. Both were equally comfortable, clean, spacious and quiet. The continental breakfast was wonderful to wake up to allowing time to relax in the morning without racing out the door for food. The beds are very comfortable, we saw some deer on property and we met the owners briefly when arriving, the owners are incredibly gracious hosts. We would stay here again without hesitation.

We were looking for someplace different than the chain hotels. The Comal Inn turned out to be a great choice. Visiting family for the Thanksgiving week in New Braunfels. The inn was located in a quiet section of town yet close (walking distance) to downtown, the water park, etc. We stayed in the Cyprus room which was large enough for two, clean, well decorated, and had a fridge well stocked with drinks and breakfast goodies - breads from the local bakery were great. The bed was super comfortable - the best nights sleep on our three week journey. Owners made sure we had clean linens and food items, very nice, friendly people. All in all a great stay! We'll be back at the Comal Inn next time we're in New Braunfels.

Very nice and tranquil room near the Comal River. We stayed in the Mountain Laurel room - bed very comfortable but if you wish to watch TV, you'll need to do a little rearranging as the TV sits at the side of the bed but we made it work. The room had two great porches. Breakfast was very nice - banana bread from a bakery in town as well as coffee, cereal, milk, and fruit. Definitely would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed in the Cypress Room, and it was clean and very quiet. The bed was quite comfortable. We enjoyed a great night's sleep after a day of tubing the Comal River and walking through some of the local shops. This was a great home base, as it is very close to downtown and the river. It was about a half mile from where we got in the river for our tubing at Texas Tubes. We also enjoyed the breakfast items, and a loaf of banana nut bread from Naeglin's Bakery was a great surprise! It's also walking distance to the bakery. I love that you use a numeric code to get into the cottage so you don't have to keep up with a room key. That's quite handy. Thank you for a wonderful and comfortable stay!

This place is Amazing! We stayed in Mountain Lauren ! Very relaxing and spot less . The bed was very comfortable with immaculate sheets. The place is very close to the Waterpark and the Comal River . The owners are very nice too, and they left few things for our first breakfast (milk, orange juice, cereals, yogurt, water bottles, banana bread and coffee ). Very nice restaurants around with good food if you want to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner. Definitely we will return again next year!
