We wanted a unique place to stay on a pleasure trip from Dallas to San Antonio that was close to the historic district. This is it! Staying overnight on a Wednesday in mid-November allowed us to have the whole compound to ourselves. For the most part our stay was quiet and peaceful. A deer traversing the property at dusk thought... More

The cottage was clean, comfortable and very close to town and to Gruene Hall. The cabins are VERY CLOSE TOGETHER, that being said if your neighbors aren't to rowdy then plenty of peace and quiet. We were fortunate our neighbors for the weekend were great.

It was a little different than I anticipated. Thought it would be a little more rural. Busy intersection and walking distance to a gas station. Traffic sounds, which I didn't expect. We liked it and had a great time. Will probably return.Would be great for a large group.

We loved this place. Such a perfect spot with everything we needed. It was also an easy walk to town and the hall. The decor was great and the beds were very comfortable. It was very hot in August but the air conditioner worked well and there was a pool to cool down. I would go back again for a... More

We stayed in the Sweetwater; the pictures on their site make it appear larger then it is. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable with a full kitchen. Its a 10 minute walk to downtown Gruene. We made it a muster point for some of the events we had over the weekend and there was space for everyone. I think... More

This property is about half a mile from historic genre and is managed by the greune mansion even though the address is New Brunsfels. We were able to walk into Greune. The three acre property features several replicas of historic stone walled Sunday Houses. Each is a little different. They are clean and very well maintained. We stayed in the... More

Every cottage is separate, but they are close together. We went a slow time so it was quiet. The weather was not great, but this place was definitely within walking distance of historic Gruene. Be advised some of the way you're walking through grass on the side of the road. The room itself was comfortable with everything we expected.

What a wonderful gem. Loved everything about this place. We stayed in the fachwerk house. Absolutely loved how the house was made. There were 4 adults. Plenty of room. Two queen beds in 2 rooms. Bathroom is huge. The small kitchen met all of our needs...we cooked everyday due to food allergies. They have thought of everything you could need.... More
