Fantastic Hotel! Wonderful staff, lovely decor, original 50s architecture, good restuarants, great bar, inviting outdoor spaces, lovely rooms, and very comfy beds. This hotel is a true delight. Everything seems so well thought out with one goal; to make the guests stay a pleasure. Our stay certainly was.
Our initial experience was slightly spoiled. We arrived to hotel after long drive from Memphis, very tired. Hotel looked promising and i guess we set our expectation that we will be able to relax a bit here. However the restaurant was fully booked, the colleagues attending us were very polite but not really interested in trying to make anything happening. The only option was hotels cafe. It was our last night in USA and we were really disappointed, particularly because restaurant did not have an option to make online reservation. However evening was saved by Ember, our waitress in the cafe. She was so pleasant, genuinely caring without being overpresent. She explained everything on the offer, courteous and friendly. Thank you very much Ember for looking after us! We had breakfast in the same cafe following day and i must say the service we received was equally nice. Apologies i do not recall another girl name. With the regards to hotel itself, it was the nicest place we stayed during our week-long visit. Charming, clean, spacious rooms, two pools, one was heated. We could easily spend few more days there if we had time..…
Very charming 50’s style hotel. Excellent restaurant and bar. It was rather cool while we were there, but the outdoor pools were heated and they have heating in the common areas. Our room had double queen beds and plenty of space. The rooms in the tower were a little smaller but very nice.
Can't say enough about The Fredonia. We had a Cabana Room overlooking the pool and loved it! They've done a great job of integrating modern luxury while staying true to the history of the property. Definitely will be back. Highly recommend!
We were pleasantly surprised at the luxury of the Fredonia Hotel in the quaint, historic town of Nacogdoches. Great staff, sparkling clean rooms decorated in modern chic style and the softest sheets I have have ever slept on!! Pillows and mattress were excellent quality and comfort! We also dined in the Republic Steakhouse and were totally impressed at the elegant atmosphere and chic decor, and superb service. Now the Food - off the charts wonderful!!! Steak was full of flavor, cooked to our perfection and tender. Side orders were au gratin potatoes and asparagus. Shrimp cocktail with HUGE shrimp cooked just right with fabulous sauce! Fresh baked bread was a treat. Closed the evening with excellent creme brulee'. Weather did not permit us to utilize the outdoor amenities - pool area and outdoor movie area - but it surely looked like it would have been fun! The hotel is located in the middle of the Historic Area of Nacogdoches, with so much to see in easy walking right from the hotel. We definitely plan a return visit - Soon!!!…
I got a deal on this hotel- 99.00 per night for two nights. I think that is a fair price and would have been upset to pay more. The rooms are old and they have done a good job of updating them, but upscale they are not. My biggest problem was the lighting. There were three or four small lights, but the room still felt like a cave. The staff was excellent however, and very responsive to any requests I had. They even gave me a free breakfast when I informed them of a roach sighting in my room! (It’s the south, it happens.) The food was excellent and the pool was great.
Great stay at this beautiful downtown hotel. Stayed in a Terrace room that was spacious, comfortable & clean. Bed was cozy and provided a good night's sleep. Several dining options available. Staff very friendly. Easy & plentiful parking available.
Stayed at the Fredonia Hotel for the first time, and it was a great experience! The room was super clean, the beds were comfortable, the room had a nice desk which was perfect for setting up my laptop for work things. There was a nice pool right outside the room- it’s not the main pool by the restaurant and I didn’t know they had another one, which was a nice surprise - that I was able to enjoy, and the landscaping is beautiful. I do have one small complaint: although the bathroom/shower is gorgeous, the glass “door”for the shower only covers half of shower area, so the other half is open. This means that you need several towels on the floor to absorb water that gets on the floor as you shower. The floor isn’t sloped and I didn’t see a drain on the floor, so the water would just sit there if you don’t put towels down. But all in all, I was extremely happy with my stay, and I would recommend the hotel to anyone that needs a hotel room in Nacogdoches. It’s a gem! ♥️…
My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary and look forward to returning for another nights stay. It is a easy drive from many areas of East Texas and Western Louisiana. The hotel managed to keep the original charm of the 1950's when built but added all the modern amenities. As you relax in the pool, you can have drinks and food served to you. What I liked best was we could walk all over the city of Nacogdoches from this hotel. This hotel made Nacogdoches my happy spot.
Immediately upon check-in you feel the warmth from all the employees. From check-in, to the gift shop, to check out. Everyone loves working at the property. We had our puppy with us and each person we encountered bent over and petted her, making her feel special as well. The rooms are so luxurious: the furniture, huge tv (my favorite thing in a hotel is having the ability to log-in to Netflix and not have to watch stale hotel style tv…. Bravo for the Fredonia for going this route). Stand alone shower, huge towels, and the most amazing bath products. The bed was super plush and comfortable. The pillows are out of this world. They aren’t down, they are not feather… I couldn’t pin point what they were. I called the hotel and they gave me the distributor information. Unfortunately they do not sell to the public…. Fredonia Hotel, you should sell these on your website, I’m sure you would make a bundle…. If your in Nac for a visit, staying at the Fredonia should be at the top of your list!…
