I stayed here one night while in Nacogdoches for business. I loved this hotel. It was only about 30% occupied. Probably due to it being a Tuesday night which was really nice. Felt like I had the place to myself. I stayed in one of the cabana rooms by the pool. Room 134 is only a few steps from the parking lot which makes it super convenient to walk from car to your room. If you are concerned about the rooms being smaller, I found the double queen rooms larger than the singles. The bed is super comfortable with high end linens. My room had a beautiful marble bath and cozy robe. I believe the hotel has filtered water throughout which makes showering nice and no skin irritation. I have mild allergies to fragrances so I will mention the main hotel rooms have a more noticeable fragrance smell. I originally booked a corner double queen in the main hotel but switched rooms because of this reason. The windows don’t open in the rooms but the cabana rooms have doors that open to the outside so you can get a little fresh air if needed. Dinner at the cafe restaurant was excellent and it was lovely dining on the patio. I also ordered breakfast room service the next day and it was very good, as well. I did request a late checkout of 12:30PM but they could only accommodate a Noon checkout which was a little disappointing. This hotel has all of the comforts of a Marriott hotel but maintains the intimacy of a small boutique hotel. It was all around a great experience and I will definitely stay here again when I’m in town for work meetings

As a local resident, it is a pleasure to have such a wonderful hotel in our community for our out of town guests. We recently had a friend stay at the Fredonia Hotel, and I wanted to insure he received a little welcome basket upon arrival. Dajah, one of the front desk agents, was fantastic! She was so attentive and went above and beyond with excellent customer service. The hotel and cafe were so clean and inviting. During this time of Covid Awareness, it was nice to know our friend was well cared for by such an attentive staff. Thanks guys!

Very nicely done! Reminiscent of the 60’s with modern amenities. Even in these COVID time atmosphere was pleasant, nice fish bowl patio with water feature or Seating by the pool to be outside in the fresh air. Rooms were nice and clean, unique modern bathroom and shower. Great place for parents to stay when visiting the college kids or for group events.

We stayed 3 nights and had a very nice stay. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The entire place was extremely clean. The pool area had plenty of sitting areas and there was a nice breeze coming through. We ate food from the City Cafe which was good, the Henny Penny chicken sandwich as excellent, and one of our friends had the pork rinds and said that they were the best she ever had (I passed on sampling)

The hotel was very clean. They did a great job making a very old building look clean and modern. The TV remote was packaged when we arrived to ensure cleanliness. Comfy bed too! We would definitely stay again.
