I am from Monahans!!!We experienced the worst ICE & SNOW STORM since I have lived here that's been 44 yrs!!! No power off and on for days when you are total electric there's no heat!!! Booked with La Quinta for 2days!!I want to say the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Staff were working endlessly from other Residents in Monahans and traffic coming in off I-20 looking for warmth and comfort, hot coffee or hot chocolate to warm up, a warm shower & warm bed, also a Hot Breakfast. Thank You to all these Girls for all your hard work it is greatly appreciated. Big shout out to Jennifer the GM also for what she does to accommodate everyone, even her Employees if I ever go back to work I want a BOSS like her. THANK YOU ALL GOD BLESS <3 <3

This is one of my favorite LaQuinta locations. The hotel is on the newer side, so everything is modern and well-maintained. The staff are amazing! They all go out of their way to welcome travelers and help in any way they can. We actually got a HOT breakfast at this location which was a real treat compared to what other locations are doing. They are pet-friendly with no extra fee which is a big plus.

Chose this location for a one night stay while passing through from Houston to the Franklin Mtns in El Paso. Broke up our trip with a visit to the Monahans sandhills State Park. Approx 5-8 min from the park. We often choose LQ’s because of their pet friendly policies. This location does not charge a fee for pets, but beware: LQ policies have changed at some of their properties. Always ask before arrival. Not all LQ’s are pet friendly now and many now charge a pet fee. Again, this location did not charge a pet fee. Much appreciated! Several “newer” hotels along the highway to choose from. Several were pet friendly and a few $ cheaper, but do your math. Most others charged a “hidden” pet fee of $20-25/day. Much like flying the airlines....be sure to do the math on your TOTAL price before booking. Well kept room. No complaints from us! They seem to be doing a good job with Covid protocol and no concerns from us. This is our 1st hotel stay since the pandemic began and was not sure what to expect. Was NO Inconvenience to adhere to what needs to be done. Still serving a warm breakfast of biscuits and gravy, sausage, and eggs. They now serve you instead of you serve your self. They also have the standard cold items such as cereal, fruit, Breads and muffins, make your own oatmeal or waffles or waffles, etc. They offered an evening happy hour with $2 beers. That price may be only during the weekday?Also had a small appetizer menu with half a dozen items available for $5-6. They have a spacious gym which we always appreciate. Two treadmills, one elliptical, one stationary bike, free weights and a weight machine. Well-maintained equipment and all was working. Also have an outdoor pool. There are tons of signs throughout the hotel saying that La Quinta is a 100% smoke free Hotel, while the entire second and third floor had a very strong cigarette odor. Breakfast was just artificial eggs, and sausage patties, a couple of cereal boxes and 3 pieces of fruit, very poor compare to other hotels and for the prices per night.
