We spent two nights in Ashaig on our week-long tour of Isle of Skye and Highlands and it was by far the best accommodation on our route. On our arrival late afternoon we were welcomed with tasty home-baked scones and tea and it kept getting better after that! The en-suite bedrooms were spacious and pristine and the views were simply... More

We spent to wonderful days in Edinbane at Ashaig. The house is pleasant and beautifully situated with a terrific view. Colin and his wife spar friendly, knowledgeable and effusive, and Colin produces superb breakfasts. A great place to stay, especially if you want a friendly host, involved in and committed to improving your stay in Skye.

I have recently stayed on two occasions at the Ashaig Bed and Breakfast, both times it was an absolute pleasure. Colin and Kathleen are extremely helpful and pleasant hosts, to the point that Colin on both occasions called to give me updates on road closures after two separate accidents, The rooms are clean, large and comfortable with sublime views, comfortable... A lovely welcome by Kathleen and Colin set the scene for a superb four night stay, our bedroom was large and the bathroom was massive, a sunroom to sit and relax in which was full of books and wooden puzzles. Breakfast was in the high points towards perfect and Colin's full breakfast was perfectly cooked, served by oh so cheerful... More

Believe all the rave reviews of Ashaig - it's everything you could ask for in a B&B. Colin has assembled the best collection of informative materials we'd ever seen - numerous hikes & walks, maps, restaurants, shops, various points to see on the island. Cathleen's lovely gardens, tea & cakes, and genuine warmth made it feel like home. Our room... More

We visited Isle of Skye last year during Easter break with our friends. Ashaig B&B was amazing for the price it offered and the hosts were very welcoming. We really liked the location, its was beautiful especially because the days were sunny too :) Given an option we would love to visit Skye again and stay at the same place!... More

A good positioned B&B looking over the loch and easily accessible onto the main roads. A warm welcome greeted us on arrival along with tea and cake (which was much appreciated). A wide choice of breakfast and we definately did not go hungry! Colin and Kathleen were always on hand to give advice on where to eat in the evening... More

Located far away from crowd this serenely beautiful place is an ideal place for couples. We really enjoyed our time here and was taken good care by Kathleen n Colin. The breakfast was ravishing and really tucked in on the food. The views from the rooms are stunning overlooking the lake.

Clean and comfortable with great breakfast. Bedroom and bathroom was large with views across Loch Greshornish. Ideal place to explore Skye. Nearby pottery at Edinbane worth a visit and plenty of places to eat in nearby Portree or try Stein restaurant and pub in Waternish.
