We just spent a week at Lyndale cottage and while it's very charming and cosy, I did feel that there was room for improvement. On arrival, we found the cottage unlocked as we'd been told, but it smelt quite musty and was a little chilly. It would have been nice if it had been warm, aired out and generally felt... More

We had a lovely experience staying in The Laundry! Linda was a truly wonderful host and showed us genuinely fantastic hospitality. We were unfortunate as our car broke down, but Linda was a true gem and was so helpful and accommodating. The cottage was wonderful - really cosy and finished to a high standard. The location was really relaxing and... More

Loved the location - it was very peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed watching the birds and baby rabbits in the gardens from the cottage. 2 minute walk to the shore, short drive to Portree and lots of great walks in the north of the island. Has all the facilities you need including wifi. Even though it was July we appreciated the... More

We've just returned from a 3 night stay at the Stables cottage, it was sheer bliss. The location is tranquil, the cottage is really well kitted out with lovely local crockery, all mod cons, wood burning stove, and a great 4 poster bed!!! I can't praise it highly enough and hope to return very soon.

We stayed in the Laundry cottage during the last week in August. The cottage was really lovely, complete with friendly chickens and rabbits outside. We were lucky enough to have great weather for the majority of the week, which meant we spent a few evenings sitting outside the cottage basking in the sun! On arrival we were provided with fresh... We stayed at the Laundry cottage at Lyndale for a week, and my husband and I feel this has been one of the best holidays we've had. The cottage was just lovely, we really enjoyed the touches of whisky and chocolates on arrival. We had a dog with us, and were provided with a "goody bag"- a hamper with dog... More

Our visit to Lyndale is the first out of the main holiday season and it will not be our last. The roads are quiet, the beaches are beautiful, and the welcome from our hosts is as warm as ever. The cottage is comfortable and cosy, with all that you need for a stay on this magical island. This afternoon we... More

We stayed at this lovely place, Lyndale, again - we'd stayed here last year and vowed to return. It was just as beautiful and peacefull as I'd remembered, if not better. The cottage was still cosy and warm and elegant and there are the lovely Lyndale grounds where you can walk amongst the trees or down to the isolated beach... More

We stayed at the Gate Lodge for a few days - it couldn't have been nicer. An ideal spot for touring the gorgeous Isle of Skye, with a lovely cosy cottage to return to. A big THANK YOU to Linda & Marcus for being such great hosts

The perfect antidote to modern life. We spent an idyllic holiday at Lyndaleon Skye. Lazy lunches of fishing-boat fresh langoustine and crab before strolling on the white sands of Shell Beach. Exploring ancient burial mounds and archeological sites before discovering the ruined cathedral of the Isles hidden on a river-island at Skeabost. Another day cruising a sea loch watching seals,...
