Greshornish is located in a quiet, slightly remote part of the Isle of Skye. It is set in attractive, large grounds. If you want a tranquil break, this could be for you. There are some downsides, though. When we checked in, the wife of the couple who run the hotel said her husband sounded like Basil Fawlty. These were prophetic... More

We had two rooms at the Greshormish House. The main room (in photos attached) was called Rum and the second room was Orkney, both named after local islands. Rum is large with one large bed and one single bed, a couch and several chairs and en suite bathroom. It was nice, a bit like staying at a grandparents large home... More

We've been in Scotland almost 2 weeks and have traveled around a lot. But our stay at the Greshornish House has been everything we had hoped for. The location is stunning! The owners could not been more welcoming. The home cooking was wonderfully Scottish and delicious. I would recommend this amazing location and I hope to return someday.

The hotel and the owners were just excellent. The food, the place, the kindness, the rooms... All advices that Neil gave to us were very usefull. A special place in an incredible island. Everything has been fantastic! We don't want to come back home.

The house is in a quite location with stunning views of the bay and surrounded by great walking areas. Neil was a wonderful host who made sure there was a welcoming fire in the fireplace and that all our requests were addressed. The rooms were all different with a different story for each. My room had been the music room... More

A warm welcome from Neil and Rosemary at their beautiful guest house. An amazing location overlooking the sea ~2 miles down a wee road through dozens of gambolling (sp?) lambs. It seemed to have pretty much all the benefits of a hotel but with a more family / friendlier feel. The breakfasts (and evening meal) were of a very high... More

set in beautiful surrounding with stunning walks...the hotel is however very old fashioned in its attitudes to guests. for example, they do not leave a light on if you return late, are concerned about your taking map pamphlet from the room, no room or restaurant wifi etc. the loo did not work in the room, the food was patchy -... We went for tea on Saturday morning and met Neil and Rosemary, what a wonderful location and delightful couple. The house and rooms were lovely and the lack of traffic etc was incredible, its very rare to hear nothing but birds and the sea. We will look forward to staying this summer when we return - regards Simon & Shelley

Excellent location matched by the service. We had a wonderful break in comfortable accommodation away from it all, an ideal location to unwind. The walk around the point is really worth it, dolphins seals and many seabirds seen, the otters proved elusive (walking boots necessary). Recommended for a quiet break away from it all. Neil is an excellent host who... More
