Marylanza Suites & Spa garners praise for impeccable service and cleanliness, with guests highlighting the attentive staff and well-maintained facilities. The rooms are often applauded for their size and tidiness, though some visitors have pointed out dated decor. Nestled in a serene location, the hotel is just a short stroll from local attractions, and while its value proposition receives mixed reviews, the amenities, including kitchenettes, pools, and family-friendly activities, are popular among travelers. However, noise can be an issue in some areas.

We have just returned home from 10 days at this fabulous hotel.
From on arrival right up till departure the girls on reception were brilliant, knowledgable and always smiling and nothing was ever too much trouble.

We stayed in room G109 and although it overlooked the road at the front, the overwhelming shock and delight at the massive rooms made up for it. There was a large bedroom with lots of storage , a nice sized bathroom with shower and a bath , a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, hob , sink, fridge, coffee maker , kettle , breakfast bar. The lounge area had two sofas which can be used as beds. The terrace had table and chairs and a small airer for clothes. The room was absolutely spotless and cleaned daily and the towels were changed everyday.

Now let’s move onto the restaurant. We had the all inclusive package. The food was probably the nicest we’ve ever had at a hotel and we have visited lots. It would probably be easier for us to list the few foods they didn’t have, it’s first class. The restaurant staff, waiting staff, chefs, cooks, were always happy, smiling and spotlessly clean as was the restaurant.
And again the snack bar had a lovely range of hot or cold food, was spotlessly clean and the staff happy and smiling.

The bar is well stocked, well run and again immaculate, as were the staff.

The entertainment was pretty good far better than lots of hotel entertainment. The entertainment team are brilliant, they aren’t pushy. Leon the young fella from Cuba has a lovely cheeky sense of humour, is bubbly and full of life.

All in all out of the last 15 hotels abroad we have stayed in this beats them hands down. It’s immaculate, everyone works really hard , they are always smiling, if it needs doing it gets done and nothing is ever too much trouble.

Stayed here with my boyfriend last year both 19. We had the best holiday ever the hotel is so lovely and clean as well as great staff (receptionists Paco and the lovely lady on it in the early hours) were so friendly and attentive. The singing in the evening by the pool bar was so good and nice to listen to while enjoying drinks. The food was really good. If you’re planning on staying I say go for it and go all inclusive although the facilities in the room cater for self catering as well. The rooms are large and clean (no cockroaches or mould) the cockroaches will only get in if you let them in so keep doors shut in the evenings. The day trip to Siam park is worth doing as well as visiting the busier strip. Hotel staff will give you directions but it’s a very short walk.

All in all cannot wait to come back and visit again soon!!

Just returned from a weeks holiday in Marylanza Suites and Spa complex, near Los Cristianos.
Overall we had a great holiday with fantastic weather for the time of year, making it even better!
We stayed in a ground floor apartment overlooking one of the three pools, around which the accommodation is built.
The food (we had an all inclusive package) is fabulous. Buffet style but we had everything you can imagine on offer every day. From sea bass to sirloin steak, fresh salad, fruit, fresh bread, home made soups , curry, pasta, paella - something for everyone.
The drinks package did not include premium brands such as Gordon’s gin or Bacardi, just house brands but they were fine. It was only about an extra €3 to have a premium brand and €2.80 for Aperol Spritz if you had the all inclusive package and wished to upgrade to a branded drink.
I would recommend all inclusive - it was great to know there wouldn’t be extra charges at the end for food and drink.
The hotel charges €18 to use the safe in the room for a week.
Entertainment in the hotel took place every evening and was really enjoyable. Ranged from a Queen tribute to knife throwing magician, comedy act, dancers and a three tenor group. All fabulous!
The complex was spotless throughout. I did see a few (apparently dead) cockroaches in the walkways but the cleaning staff were constantly sweeping and mopping communal areas. This is Tenerife and the warm climate attracts such insects. They were not intrusive to our holiday nor did they put us off going again.
The apartment itself was spacious and had a lovely outside terrace with a table and chairs. There was a kitchen with microwave and fridge that we didn’t use at all given we were all inclusive.
There is a small shopping complex across the road with Mercadona, Starbucks, Sketchers and H & M amongst the shops.
The sea is about 10-15 mins walk.
The room had air conditioning and a good shower over the bath. Towels were changed daily if required and our bed sheets were also changed during the week.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely return.

booked for a week here with my wife over xmas arrived on a flight from luton which was on time, however spent too long on the coach waiting for people coming in on other flights so in hindsight would have booked a taxi transfer.
arrival at the hotel and we were only behind 4 couples but took 30mins before we were given keys which meant a quick dash to the restaurant before it closed at 3pm.
from then on we had a great time, the food is exceptional with large prawns, steaks, etc , in fact something for everyone.
the staff in the restaurant were so quick in clearing plates etc and so cheerful and welcoming
there is a microwave available for those who like their food piping hot, my wife does!
we were originally given a room on the 1st floor which was fine if a little dark however after 3 days we were asked if we wanted to upgrade at no extra cost to a room over looking the road with sun on it all day long-room 212
balcony was huge and so much space for 2 people so was a result
entertainment was generally average, beatles and the 3 tenors being the pick
we were quite happy with the drinks selection and again received good service from the staff
there was a good mix of nationalities although noticed that some were rude toward staff when ordering.
hotel is in a good location being within walking distance of both los christianos and playa de le americas

Before I start with the review, let's remind ourselves that we are currently in a Pandemic and as the Marylanza is running and welcoming guests bear in mind that it's under CoVid-19 safety restrictions and therefore they might not be fully operational.

We booked the all inclusive package which comes basically to eat and drink all day. Either at the buffet, or the pool bar.

The rooms are nice and spacious. And very clean. I am not aware of if the rooms do differ. But ours had a master bedroom, bathroom with 2 sink counter, tub \ shower combo toilet and bede, kitchenette, with kettle, microwave fridge with a little freezer and a cooking unit. A little terrace to sit on. The AC did its job. Wifi can be a bit iffy with the login and the TV signal could be slightly better, but to us it was no bother as we didn't watch much TV anyway.

The buffet offers a wide and diverse range of food, from classical Spanish to European cuisine and for the mainly English guests, a lot of that, too. They also are having themed nights, such as Italian or Mexican, so there should be something for everyone.

Those who love a good roast in the sun will be made up with the pooling area, unless you are one of those that try to block sunbeds with a towel. That's a nono in Marylanza. If you try to the friendly life guards will bag your stuff and you will be able to retrieve that later.

They have a slightly heated pool, the cold pool and the kids pool as well. For an additional fee you can use the indoor spa with a very atmospheric lighting and layout. It comes with a whirlpool, hot water pool, salt water float pool, steam room.

We booked ourselves in for a massage with was lovely and reasonably priced. They also have a fitness studio, which we didn't use and therefor cannot comment on that.

But what really impressed us the most is the staff at Marylanza. Regardlessly with who you were dealing with, the lovely receptionist Paco, staff members of the buffet /kitchen area, or maintenance and cleaners, everyone was nice and friendly, always help- and mindful and very attentive to make your stay worthwhile. They had a smile for everyone, even thou they seem to work long shifts.

That created a lovely atmosphere for us and if you are more into getting to know people rather than being an anonymous tourist,it's a place to definately stay.

Parking is available either on the side of the road or the garage. A supermarket and a shopping center is a 5 minute walk away, walk to the beach with more touristic shops is about 10 - 15 mins away.

As you can tell, we enjoyed our stay and will come back for sure

Really nice hotel, good food & drinks, good location and great staff. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for the great holiday!

Although we did go out most nights, breakfast, lunch, dinner and pool bar food was really good, a range of hot and cold food, seemed very fresh and of good quality and we enjoyed it, My girlfriend is coeliac and we were worried about how food would be for her but there was a range of gluten free food, including cakes and pastries. All food was clearly labelled at the buffet and they also had lacto free etc.

Would have enjoyed more variety on all inclusive ice cream but thats just being picky.

Drinks were good and plentiful. We particularly liked how the majority of drinks were self service i.e. fanta, coke, lager, slushes and more which made staying topped up on drinks a lot easier. The bar did have a range of house spirits, wine and cocktails that weren't anything fancy but definitely good for around the pool!

Location was ideal for us as you could walk in to Los Cristanos and to Playa De Las Américas easily, we do enjoy the walk but if you aren't up for walking I dont imagine the taxi would cost much at all.

Gym & Spa:

Realistically I do think the gym itself should be part of the all inclusive as it isn't well equipped to the point of paying extra, however I do enjoy the gym so I paid the €20 for 5 days which I didn't think was too bad for the convenience. The gym itself is very modern and looks very nice.

The spa was closed at the time of visit (covid regulations) but did look really nice.

The room was very large (we upgraded to superior), it had a kitchen diner area, a couch and a chaise lounge, the bedroom was in a separate room with double mirrored wardrobes. The balcony was the best feature and was huge and compromised of a table for 4 and 2 loungers and plenty space in between.

All the staff at the hotel were really nice and always exceptionally friendly and helpful when needed.

Good measures for covid in place and I can imagine if you were the cautious type you would feel safe. Not a fan of the mask myself but for the sake of wearing one when moving around the hotel for less than 5% of your day its not exactly the worst experience.

We arrived at the hotel early but thankfully they were able to accommodate this as a room was available.
We were offered a safe to use for our stay but this was with a charge of EUR18, which was not refundable. Pool towels were charged at EUR5 each which was refundable on return. If you wanted to change these throughout your stay there was a EUR1 eco charge. We also enquired about an iron in the room there wasn’t one but we could hire one for EUR10 again refundable on return.

We were given our all inclusive wristbands some information about meals and drink and a maps to get to our accommodation.

The room was lovely and big, with a large balcony overlooking the golf course. Separate bedroom, kitchen area, living area and bathroom. Air conditioning worked really well as did the free WiFi.

We never had any issues with cockroaches in the room or the resort itself. We saw one our whole stay which was on the balcony but already dead.

One thing that did surprise us we hired an iron but there are no ironing boards!!

We arrived at the hotel on a Saturday and we did not get a sun bed around the pool until the Tuesday!!!! There were towels on the beds for hours and hours with no one returning to them but nothing was done. On the Tuesday we went down around 7:30am and people had already placed towels on beds. We did see a couple of towels and peoples things moved at around 9:30am by lifeguards but only a select few and nothing else was done during the day for those that left them for hours. This is something the hotel really need to enforce it really effected the enjoyment of our holiday to not get a sunbed for 3 out of the 5 days we were there!

Location of the hotel we liked as it was out of the main hussle and bussle of the towns but within a short walk of both Los Cristianos and Las Americas.

We were all inclusive and can not fault the food. I can be quite a picker eater but I found there to be something everyday that I could enjoy. Be aware though if they run out of something even if the restaurant isn’t close to closing there is no more. We asked for some bread rolls but were told no.

However, as well as the sun bed situation the other thing that lets this hotel down and was really disappointing was the drinks. Soft drinks were fine. Tea & coffee we struggled with as there was only full fat milk available. However, we were looking forward to indulging in the cocktails, wine & beer!! They were extremely poor with them all being undrinkable to us. The wine was like vinegar, the cocktails were like drinking pure sugar and nothing like they should taste of!! The beer was Amstel or Cruz Campo and not drinkable from the pool bar but OK from the bar inside but this didn’t open until 8:00pm.

Entertainment hmmmm next!

Lovely hotel in a nice location but the drinks really let this place down and as a result we won’t be returning. If you are a non drinker then you will love the place.

Response from Fernando Josa, Director General at Marylanza Suites & Spa

When I recovered back in July from the ecstasy of being finally able to reopen, my first concern - okay, maybe the second or third - was the sunbed situation. It is probably one of my clearest and deepest obsessions: to make sure that the usual sunbed non-reservation policy is in fact enforced at our hotel. When you open after 16 months of inactivity you are very happy to see the familiar faces of the staff, and even though we all have needed some time to readapt and remember certain things, in most cases we have settled quite quickly. However, there are certain positions which are not covered by hotel staff, but outsourced, and that is the case of the lifeguards. Thus, it was necessary to start from scratch and train the new incorporations, who had to get used to a totally new property to them, as well as to a new strange despot (I meaaaaaan manager) and new rules and procedures. During the first days I have insisted all the time in the importance of this policy, how they should do, in which time frame, etc. They are very hard-working and very much willing to please, but even so it is not an easy task and it is not always understood the importance of consistency (every day), democracy (everyone's towels) and equity (no matter gender, race, nationality or religion). They are in fact removing towels from unused sunbeds, but it's true that they cannot do that all the time, they will do it especially at the beginning of their shift, but once breakfast is finished, the pool is officially open and people start swimming, going to the bar, etc., it is much more difficult to ascertain whether a sunbed is actually unoccupied, or if that is happening for minutes or hours. They won't select a few, but all in the same situation, however a removal round takes a while so new additions may show up. Even so, if they do clearly detect unused sunbeds with towels on them they will remove them no matter the time of the day, but I insist, it is much more difficult to get it right when the pool is fully operational. Regarding cocktails, just as we had to readapt ourselves, it seems that some of our suppliers needed a restart program, too. We have detected some changes in the quality of some of the products we were offering before the pandemic, that is the case for instance of the popular mojito and some other cocktails which have already been or are soon being brought back to the original characteristics and composition. In any case we do work with pre-mixed cocktails in order to speed up the service in what we find a balanced quality/service ratio, but obviously, and even if we try hard, they will never be as a cocktail that is done at the very moment for you (but which will take oceans of waiting time in an all-inclusive hotel). We are anyway working on upgraded options at very affordable supplements to provide a wider and better selection. Regarding beer, as mentioned there is a choice of Spanish (Cruzcampo) and international (Amstel), but it is the exact same product and quality in all bars, so I really don't understand why it was drinkable in one and not in the other. As opposed to this gentleman's, I do recommend all the (moderate) drinkers of the world to visit us, I do consistently see lots of them enjoying our hotel and our all-inclusive.

We spent 10 days all inclusive at this hotel, and it was lovely! Location is great only a 10 min walk into Las Americas or 15 min the other way to Los Cristianos. Supermarket and coffee shop just over the road too.

We arrived around 9pm, and the lady on reception was extremely helpful and pointed out we could still make evening meal, which we did after quickly dropping off our bags.

The room was very spacious and backed onto the golf course (we were ground floor- if you want to see the golf course you might want to ask for for a higher room). The rooms have a little kitchen area with everything you could need, living room had 2 sofa’s and a TV (with English channels). The beds were comfy, if I had to find a fault we’d have preferred a tv in the bedroom but we managed just fine without it.

Rooms were kept very tidy, the maid came daily doing a great job and was polite on the few times we bumped into her. All staff were very helpful and polite throughout the hotel.

The food is great, plenty of choices and we never struggled for a table, drinks are help yourself which is good, and the staff are very helpful. As with all inclusive yes sometimes the food is repetitive but during our 10 days it didn't really impact us too much. Breakfast has great choice too…9-9:30 seemed to be the busiest time we found.

Around the pool area was well looked after with Rafa the lifeguard and the team. The rule of not saving sun beds before 10am is useful and meant we always got a sun bed, we stayed mainly around the green pool where most of the entertainment went on and it was heated. Pool bar drinks are serve yourself and the snack bar had a good choice of chips/pizza/hot dogs etc, but we mainly ate in the restaurant.

We kept our room on later as we had an evening flight and this was a reasonable price of €30, and was no problem when we asked about it.

Kids entertainment around the pool on and evening was good, if you like a busier louder atmosphere you might want to walk down into Las Americas though. Wi-Fi is great around the pool, not so good in the room we found.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and couldn’t fault the staff throughout, will definitely visit again!

We stayed at Marylanza for a week at the beginning of June, I think the hotel is in a very good location, close to shops, bars, restaurants and the beach is only a 15 min walk away.
Staff were great apart from one of the lifeguards who was quite rude and felt like he didn’t want to be there but I saw a review online and these guys are 3rd party and hired in.
Rooms are very spacious and cleaned everyday if required. A couple of days we had left the stop sign on the door to receive a note asking when was convenient for them to clean the room. I thought this was a nice gesture.

I did feel like there was a lot of rules, one being you were not allowed any balls in the pool, but was allowed inflatable floats and other objects to throw in the pool but why no balls? Some of the rules outside are not written up on the pool rules but you get told off because these are against the rules.
I understand not eating and drinking in the pool but we was not allowed to eat anything on the sun beds, I don’t know if anyone else had this problem of this lifeguard just didn’t like us.
It seemed like some things you had to pay for like certain cocktails or €1 to change your towel or everything requires a deposit which you will get back.

Food was quite repetitive, if you don’t like seafood then there wasn’t really a great deal of other meats food, I think they need to upgrade to a wider selection of food. 4 nights out of 6 it was international night, which served the same food every time. I’m not sure if this is a family place but I felt like there was only a very small kids section with just pasta and pizza. Snack bar during the day was alright but then again very repetitive.

I think one of the main reasons why you go on an all inclusive holiday is for the sun and food but the food just didn’t cut it for me.

Our rules are mainly intended to guarantee everyone's comfort and safety. Due to this we don't allow balls, as they are a lot of fun for those playing with it, and a true nightmare for everyone else around. This is clearly specified in the welcome leaflet provided at check-in, as well as in the pool board. The same applies to the prohibition to eat on the sunbeds, which is most unhygienic and rather disgusting when you find chips with the relevant mayonnaise and ketchup on the floor. I always say that rules exist for a reason, and I guarantee that this decision was taken (just like the one regarding the balls) many years ago because of the extent of the problem. We have a 15-night menu program with 5 themed and 10 international nights. Those 10 international have a different menu each, but they have varied dishes and recipes which cannot be classified as a themed night (in our case Mexican, Canarian, Spanish, Italian and Oriental), but are still totally different one from another. At our buffet you will find lots of dishes for children, but they are not in a specific section of the buffet, we just label them with the relevant symbol. We don't think that children must only eat pasta, pizza and chicken nuggets (even though they will obviously love them), and we think that travelling is a great chance to discover new dishes and flavours, especially for children. We therefore encourage them to visit all the buffet stations as they might find something appealing to eat that they would miss otherwise.

Stayed with a party of 6 in September all adults. Hotel very clean and staff very was good and plenty of choice only issue is occasionally cold. The rooms are spacious but dated. Entertainment at night poor and could only get a drink in paper cups until 8.00pm in lobby bar with no Entertainment.only 15 minutes walk to Las Americas. Would not return at the price we paid and also if you have children don't bother no lilos or ball games around the pool and no children's food. I have heard its due to covid but visited siam park and only restrictions was face masks.

Plus points

Very clean
Food tasty
Was able to get sunbeds
Staff very friendly good removing plates in restaurants
Staff attentive at pool bar

Food occasionally cold
Hotel rooms dated eg chips in toilet seats
Evening entertainment poor
Only able to get drinks in glasses at the restaurant and lobby bar with no entertainment.
Lobby bar only opened around 8.00pm
No lilos or ball games in pool we had friends staying at a different hotel and were able to have lilos

The Canary Government issued protocols for the prevention of covid-19 with rules and recommendations for different types of business. We obviously follow the ones for hotels and restaurants. There may be hotels which do not adhere to them (a minority for sure), but this shouldn't be seen as an advantage. Also Siam Park has nothing to do with a hotel pool, their inflatables are part of the attractions and they control the pace, so they don't - or shouldn't - have any issues regarding safety distance. As soon as the protocol and the covid situation changes we will adapt accordingly, in the meantime we will stick to the rules to guarantee your and our safety.

Hi yes there are a few steps, but the hotel does also have lifts which access most levels of the hotel and facilities.

Either contact the hotel direct, or do a sample booking on their website for one guest and then two guests and deduct one from the other. It will vary on the room type, board and time of year.

Hi the nearest beach is a 20/30 minute walk away. The sand of the southern resorts is yellow imported sand from the Sahara, the natural black volcanic sand occurs in the north of the island. The sea is the Atlantic Ocean so can be rough and cold. Some southern resorts are ideal for surfing. Others are designated for swimming and have lifeguards and flags indicating sea conditions. Some beaches have inflatable play areas.
