Arrived in December 2018. The weather was amazing, felt just like summer with days reaching 28°c. On arrival, we were impressed with the lovely looking reception area, complete with Christmas decorations. The ground and pools are very nice. There rooms were decent but could do with updating. Food was above average. As a veggie, all inclusive is usually a challenge. But they had good salad selection at all times. The spa and gym were really good and well worth the money. Location is excellent. Really close to Las America's, but quiet and out room overlooked the golf course which looked nice. I would definitely return

This was our second visit to the Marylanza, and I think we will visit again in the future. We are a family of 4, children aged 15 and 7. As an overview, this hotel is small but has plenty of amenities for everyone to enjoy. The Marylanza offers a slower pace than some of the others in the area and this suits us down to the ground. Rooms: we booked a duplex apartment but on arrival were upgraded to a superior duplex which was a spacious room with large terrace and sun beds. The air con was a bit noisy when it first started up but was fine after that. The kitchenette is well stocked for those staying self catering, but we just used the bare minimum. Cleaners visit daily and are friendly and efficient. The duplex room had two velux windows with long distance views to the sea that my children loved! Pools: There are 3 pools - one baby, one large pool for people who like to use inflatables (blue) and one slightly smaller kept free of inflatables. There are plenty of sun beds, and generally you could go down at 9.30am and still find somewhere to be. The lifeguard did strip towels on most days, which is a fair thing to do as in the days where it didn’t happen there were people who reserved sunbeds and didn’t appear until 12pm. The pool areas are generally clean, but people did leave plastic cups which is annoying as there are loads of bins. There is a no food rule on the sun beds which makes the area much more pleasant. Food: breakfast is by far the best meal of the day, so worth getting up for! The lunch food is very repetitious at the pool bar (pizza, burger, hot dogs, chips etc with a small salad selection). The restaurant is open at lunch with a slightly wider selection. The evening meal does offer salads, hot food etc, and there is a reasonable choice if you eat meat and fish. As a vegetarian I struggled to get variety - some nights it was a choice between hot vegetables and cold vegetables with no sauce or flavour! Mexican and Canarian nights were good as there were hot vegetarian options that were a main course rather than a mish mash. Entertainment: as a smaller hotel the entertainment is not big scale. During the day the team have options such as table tennis, darts, shuffle board and aqua aerobics, plus a small kids club. Evening entertainment is a mixed bag - mini disco for the kids is good, games after that are often bingo. The acts that start at 9.45pm are finished by 10.30pm, which can feel a bit early. ABBA, Beatles, Marx Brothers good, wasn’t keen on the magic as they used live animals. We avoided the dance acts! At the pool bar there is a different singer/guitarist every night, most are reasonably good. Area: the Marylanza is not in the thick of it, but a short 15 min walk will take you into Los Cristanos or Las Americas. Over the road is a small shopping centre with supermarket and other shops, and a small play area. Siam Mall and Siam Park are nearby (5euros in a taxi). Trips: there are lots of trips available, this time we did Teide By Night (recommend), submarine (recommend) and a trip on a yacht (Tenerife Sailing Cruises, highly recommend). Overall, the Marylanza is a good option for those who want a slightly slower pace holiday in Tenerife.

Had an amazing holiday in Marylanza with our two teens and an 11 year old. This is our third all-inclusive holiday and has by far been my favourite. The hotel is lovely, nice room, lovely pool and very friendly staff. The location is great. On the edge of the resort so nice and quiet, only a 15 minute stroll into all the life. The food is good, started off excellent, but went slightly downhill the second week. There is plenty of it and the late breakfast meant the kids could have a lie in and still get fed. The two speciality restaurants are worth a visit. Drink is excellent for adults and kids. My only slight criticism is with the entertainment. The staff around the pool tried hard but there was something lacking, and I have to say I have been put off certain songs for life as they played the same play list over and over again by the pool. Sometime hearing the same song 4 times in one day! Some of the acts that played in the evening left a lot to be desired as well. But I gave this hotel 5 out of 5, and I would definitely consider going again.

We arrived at the hotel around 6pm br warned check in is very slow . The hotel it’s self is lovely food is good rooms are dated but spacious .we were with a group of 30 and had no problems getting sinners before 9 The subbed area is not cleaned enough mornings I would be collecting plastic cups and putting them into the bin The food was as good as a 4* gets in Europe, Breakfast was really good Entertainment was different you had a young man who did all the day time activities and he also did the evening entertainment. The room in which the entertainment was held was unbearably hot ! We did see 2 good acts but they were o er within 45mins It is possible the worst entertainment I have ever been to Fortunately For us we were in a big group so we made our own entertainment We also had very loud building works going on which sounded as if we were in the middle of a building site , when I asked at reception how long it would be going on for she said she was unaware or any building works so would need to get back to me ! (She never did ) I think this hotel is over priced

The only works which we have been doing lately is the refurbishment of the Honeymoon Suites (they will be amazing!), but we made sure that the rooms in that block were not occupied and theoretically they shouldn't have affected the pool area. As a matter of fact, nobody else complained or mentioned anything on these works, so not sure what it could be. In any case the receptionist asked this customer to return after a while as to allow her some time to try and find out about the building works, but she didn't come back. She didn't leave a room number, so there wasn't any way to get back to her whatsoever.

Well, our stay at marylanza was a great one, after reading mixed reviews I was quite unsure on the hotel, but we had already booked at this point and did not know what to expect. If you are easy going and aren’t expecting the world you will for sure enjoy this hotel, some of the reviews are really petty and did not resonate with our stay, each to their own I guess. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink and given a bag of snacks due to arriving late, but planning ahead we did bring our own snacks for that night as we had read that the snacks provided were not of great standard. After that we lugged our cases around the hotel trying to find the room which was pretty annoying after arriving late at night and struggling to find the room in the large complex, nevertheless the room was beautiful, spacious and clean, did not look as dated as the previous images due to change in bedsheets which I feel made a great difference. Food- The food was great, always something different to choose from, I will say the selection during the meals is not huge but what is there is really tasty and of good standard. I enjoy the self service for drinks during meal times as there is no waiting for drinks. The deserts were tasty for the first day or two but became overly repetitive serving air like boring sponges at every evening meal. I think the choice of sweet is much better at breakfast than it is in the evening. I stuck to rice pudding which was lovely, but even so there’s only so much of that you can eat. On the plus side this meant that I did not over indulge on the deserts which my waistline was great-full for. There is a dress code during dinner but men are fine to wear smart shorts, to be quite honest people were dressed in sport shorts and flip flops and that seemed to be ok, but I do enjoy dressing up for the evening and sometimes felt over dressed. Drinks- The cocktails as frequently commented on were not great, the first one I had tasted like cleaning product. This opinion formed on the first night in the entertainment room. However I decided to try them in the lobby later on in the holiday, which I would say actually tasted nice enough to drink. I was recommend multiple drinks by the lady at the lobby bar which were all really tasty and she was lovely, I didn’t catch her name. I noticed that the soft drinks had been upgraded to brands such as Fanta and coke but I am skeptical if they actually are, however I enjoyed them either way. Location- location was great for us, about a 10 minute walk to the main strip in playa de las americas and a taxi only being €5 back for when your feeling too hot to walk back. Entertainment- We only watched the entertainment on two different occasions which were a group of men singing, they were very good singers but generally looked like they were waiting for a bus, and a magic act which we could not watch it all due to how loud the music was, I am 20 and don’t mind loud music but not in a sociable area like so, it was just unnecessarily loud. Would not say the entertainment was of great standard, although I am yet to find a hotel that I have thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, I suppose I cant comment fully as we decided to walk down to playa de las Americas strip to meet with friends at another hotel most nights. Pool- The no reserving sun beds rule was not upheld, and as my partners and i are late risers we could never get a spot until late afternoon, some days we would sit at the pool bar and see towels covering beds that were not used for a good few hours which is quite unfair. This didn’t bother us too much as we prefer to go out in the days. I can’t imagine how the rule could be upheld, as there would just be a mass of towels dumped? Further points- I would recommend hiring a car, we rented a car from Europa cars which was a shop situated in front of the H10 Conquistador hotel right by the beach of playa de las americas. We had pre booked before we got to Tenerife but upon stumbling across this company it cost €80 less than the one we had booked. As a result of renting a car we were able to travel around the island and a boat trip at los gigantes was a great experience with beautiful views.
