Ole Tropical Tenerife garners positive comments for its spotless environment and the staff's commendable service, which many guests describe as friendly and efficient. While the rooms' cleanliness and views are praised, some travelers point out the outdated decor and missing amenities like kettles. The hotel's lively atmosphere, complete with live entertainment, is a hit, though the quality can be inconsistent. Its location is well-liked for being close to attractions yet peaceful, but noise disturbances have been mentioned. Additionally, unexpected charges have left some guests questioning the overall value.

Stayed here for a week half board since we wanted to eat out most evenings. Staff was very helpful and allowed us to change our evening meal for lunch instead.
Rooms were very spacious, clean and kept in good condition throughout the holiday. Plenty of hangers for your clothes and space, and decent size balcony to sit down and have a drink at anytime. Fresh towels and bedsheets everyday and probably the best addition was having a fridge in the room. Only downside there’s no ironing board or iron provided in the room, however you can borrow an iron from reception free of charge.
The location of the hotel couldn’t of been better, 10 minute walking distance from Siam park, 10/15 minute walk to the main part of the strip. If you ever needed a taxi, reception was always helpful and rung them for you.
Breakfast and lunch was good, food was always replenished and kept warm. Good choice of dessert too.
Never had a problem with sun loungers and people reserving them. Highly recommend opting for the hotels towels for the pool, it’s €15 deposit and get it back when you check out or when your ready to leave the hotel. Fresh ones can be collected at reception every day.
There’s a women that will sort out all your excursions, and was very helpful and never once let us down. I recommend seeing her at the start not to be disappointed because packages get booked up quick.
The hotel allowed us to keep our luggage in a safe room so we can enjoy our last day and not wait around for our late flight.
Overall highly recommend this hotel for couples.

Firstly, we would like to thank all the staff at the hotel for their hard work during our glorious week’s stay in the sunshine on Tenerife. A handsome gentleman on reception, I think his first name began with a P, helped us with our transport back to the airport, as the pre-arranged carrier (Viajes Poseidon) kept us waiting for over 105 minutes and did not collect us at all in the end / left us stranded. Please do not use this carrier, they couldn’t care less. The gentleman on reception was disgusted by their customer service and really went the extra mile for us. Thank you so much!

We had a basic double room on floor 2, which was modern and cleaned every day by the friendly staff, with the choice of clean bedding and towels too. Our balcony was a sun trap all day long (which is what I wanted for January), it overlooked some lovely, mature palm trees. There was a bit of road noise nearby, but the hotel is central and we got used to it.

Unfortunately, for the hotel, it is situated just downhill from the main sewage plant in the resort and the local authorities need to address the odour if they do not wish to put tourists off. Fortunately, we only noticed it first thing in the morning and the developing breeze cleared the smell away in the daytime. The hotel is close to the beach (10 minute stroll) and we liked to sit on the soft, clean sand of Troya beach when we were sunbathing. The waves were really good there, too.

We went half board (no drinks) and the food was most acceptable for a week. Perhaps the buffet area should be redesigned, as it was tricky/crowded to access it when it was busy, with the restaurant’s supporting (roof) pillars in the way. My only observation was the toilets were at the far end of the buffet area and I noticed a few flies around, which put me off. Otherwise, the restaurant was bright and clean and the staff were efficient.

I observed some of the (British) folk in the hotel (and generally in Playa de las Américas) were on the coarse side (notably their language and behaviour) but I guess if you can fly here anywhere from the UK for £69 return and buy pints of beer on the seafront for €1, then it is to be expected.

Third time I’ve been on this island and there’s still so much more to discover here... I will definitely be back again on a winter holiday to come, but sadly I would choose somewhere rustic to stay a bit further out of the action next time.

On arrival, we were disappointed that this hotel did not look like a 4 star hotel. However, we were greeted with a drink & the receptionist explained everything to us. After the first day, we settled in & enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, the animation team were fantastic, the food was good, as was the cleanliness, and we really enjoyed the evening entertainment . Our main disappointment was that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in our room. We were told we could hire a kettle, but I would have expected these facilities to be free & available in a 4star hotel.
If the Ole Tropical was a 3 star, we would have been satisfied with the facilities, but the fact that it had a 4 star rating, a little disappointing.

Dear guest, We do regret to read that our hotel was not entirely to your liking and that we were unable to fulfill your expectations on this occasion, we appreciate enormously your observations and suggestions and we will pass them on to the appropriate team for further consideration. We apologize for not having met your expectations in providing coffee making facilities in your room. It is not standard practice in many European All-Inclusive hotels to provide such facilities in all rooms as guests have access to hot beverages throughout the day as part of their meal plan, however we do offer our guests the option to hire them should they wish to do so with a small additional charge. The award of stars is regulated. This is checked regularly and adjusted to the circumstances. Then we would like to thank for their friendly criticism. This will help us in the future to continue to improve our standards. Kind regards Hotel Manager

Positives:
Went on my 19th birthday with a friend so they decorated my room and brought me a bottle of Prosecco which was sweet
Beautiful view (stayed on top floor)
Room was big, modern, cleaned everyday
Had shower and bath
Could rent a safe in the room 5 euro deposit which you get back and 3 euro per day
Beach towels were 15 euros deposit which you got back
They had a lot of shampoo conditioner and body wash in the room
Had a TV, fridge, hangers in wardrobe, shelves, phone to call receptionist and a dressing table in the room
Food was okay, breakfast was the best
Most staff were happy and helpful, the receptionist on the day we arrived was not helpful and rude about our flight being delayed ( not our fault)
5 minute walk to the strip, and you can’t hear it from your room
5 minute walk to the beach
Opposite shops and restaurants (Italian “La Bruschetta was so good)
5 minute taxi to Siam Park which you could walk
20 minute walk from Grand Oasis Shopping Centre
Check out was quick
Negatives:
Breakfast started at 8.30 and ended at 9 ish which for us was too early
You had to wear a mask walking outside around the hotel
Receptionist was rude when we arrived and we had to email all our booking confirmation to her as she didn’t have it
Snacks were poor just ice cream and croissants

All in all the hotel was a 3* hotel, was good if you wanted to spend most your time outside of the hotel. Child friendly although there was mostly an adult friendly hotel. We booked a week before we went as our holiday to Mexico was cancelled. Would definitely stay again. Definitely ask for lots of bottle water and leave them in the fridge, bring your own snacks for between meals and try to stay on the top floor as the view was so beautiful. Visit Siam Park, La Bruschetta, Grand Oasis shopping centre, Monkey beach club, Papagayo and Boathouse Puerto Colon

On arrival we were welcomed by a very efficient member of your reception staff she explained everything to us and gave us a glass of fizz and a bottle of water. We found all staff to be excellent throughout, friendly but professional. Thanks you all.

We found the hotel to be clean throughout but perhaps in need of a update as its a bit tired in places. Our room was pleasant, nice toiletries. Enough storage. Bed linen and towels changed at your request to help with the environmental issues of using to much water. Safe at a charge. We had no curtains just the black out linings thought this was a bit strange.

The food was nice always fresh fruit, salads and a good variety of breads. Smoothies made fresh every morning. Eggs, omelettes and pancakes made to order. Good choices. Fresh pizza made. One lunch time a outside BBQ was laid on, very nice, good choices and fresh salads, very nice to sit outside in February with food and a glass of wine.
Dining room gets busy at peak times - perhaps a good idea not to go for dinner at 7.00pm as people are queuing for it to open.

Good pool - plenty of seats and loungers for everyone. Pool towels available.

Varied entertainment every evening and lots of daytime activities. The team work very hard.

Used the spa was impressed, had massage was very good and good value.

The hotel is 5/8 mins to the front, its on quite a busy road but once your in the grounds you don't notice this. There's a good local bus service. 15/20 minute transfer from the airport.

Definitely on our list to return.

Recently returned from a great holiday at the Ole Tropical. First time at this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised as we had been a bit sceptical when comparing the price to that of several other hotels we had stayed in previously. The hotel was very clean throughout, the bedroom was spacious with modern decor, lovely bathroom and towels and bed linen were changed regularly during our 10 night stay. I would recommend a high floor (we stayed on 6) to get the best sea views and to see the lovely sunsets each evening.
One of the main things which made for a great holiday was the friendliness of the staff who were all brilliant, very helpful, polite and hard working, especially the animation team and the bar staff.
The outside areas were large, clean and there were plenty of sunbeds around the pool or in the garden area.
The food was OK with lots of freshhly grilled choices and a busy pizza oven and there were usually plenty of tables available in the dining room.
The evening entertainment was fairly good although the six large pillars in the lounge meant that from a lot of the tables, you couldn't see what was going on on the stage. The other thing that surprised us was that everything stopped when the show finished each night at 10.30pm - not a place for party animals!!
The hotel is within a short easy walk to the front and very central for walking to all the main areas around, but also close to the bus routes. The only downside to that was that the nearby road could be a bit noisy at night, but apart from that, a good value for money hotel.

Me and my partner stayed here for a week in a September. We really enjoyed our stay. The Hotel was an ideal location, close to the main strip, beaches and restaurants but not close enough that it’s noisy at night. And only 15/20 minutes from the airport via taxi.

We stayed as bed and breakfast only, there was a discounted offer to upgrade to half board or all inclusive on arrival but we like to go out at night, so can’t comment on main meals. Breakfast was always good, a huge variety of choice hot and cold options. Full English, continental, fruit, pastries, omelettes and more.

The reception team were always polite and helpful. There is free WiFi and they explain how to connect. They’ll book you a taxi which for us always came almost instantly. We found it a nice touch that they called us on our second day to check we settled in okay and again the day before we left to check we’d enjoyed our stay and we knew about check out.

We had a double basic room on the 3rd floor, very spacious and a good sized bathroom with hairdryer. Plenty of sockets, wardrobe space and a fridge. The cleaning of the room was always spotless and they change the towels and bedding at your request. Good sized balcony with airer. The only downside for us the air con was either on or off (with the balcony door closed) no option to control the settings or put on a timer. Small TV, signal was hit or miss with the basic channels. The bed was two singles pushed together (not unusual) but a bit annoying at times when the beds moved apart and the mattresses were slightly hard, but on the whole we did sleep well. We hired out the safe for €3 a day plus €10 deposit you get back. You can hire towels from the hotel for a €15 deposit. It was quiet at night except for our last night when we were both woken up at 4am by shouting and slamming doors of people coming back drunk from the strip.

The pool sometimes was busy there were a few stag/hen do’s when we were there and sometimes they were rowdy in the pool. Plenty of sun beds and we never had trouble getting them no matter the time of day. The entertainment team in the pool was fun and they encourage you to participate but they’re not pushy.

Very close to Siam park and Mall both a 5/10 minute walk away.

If we venture back to Tenerife in the future we’d definitely consider Olé Tropical again.

Arrived mid afternoon and booking in was efficient and professional but not over welcoming. Location is slightly off the main coastal area and an easy walk 800m to the nearest beach with the main areas of America’s and Adeje a good 2km walk either way. The rooms are clean and tidy with daily housekeeping to a high standards, their failings for 4 star grade are no kettle tea / coffee facilities, only 1 English Channel (news) and bathroom amenities poor. The food was plentiful, adequate choices on all meals with a BBQ twice a week although all self service including drinks which are not branded but tasted ok. The pool area is not huge, has sun beds but no mattress just hard plastic. In summer season there would probably not be enough to suffice the demand. The best point was the entertainment team who were excellent through out, fun and friendly both in the daytime and evening and kept the clientele happy and children occupied.
In summary a good fun hotel but certainly not 4 star facilities.

I only gave this hotel 2 stars because of the staff, the bar and restaurant staff really were a life saver, always interactive and chatty, this was my first time here and I couldn’t wait to get home. The same food every night, I just lived off pizza and chips, or went out and spent more money, tried the spaghetti and it wasn’t cooked fully. I had a kebab off the grill and the meat was raw inside all of ours around the table, I can honestly say it was a joke.

The pool area wasn’t very nice, there were fake acrylic nails on the floor, tissue and rubbish in the pool and always dirt at the bottom. Lifeguard seemed like he was setting up most the activity’s as we hardly saw the entertainment manager.

For one night when the bosses were in we had a themed night and a pool party, felt like
The hotel was on a change for the better, the next day it was straight back to the low standards I had.

Overall I would never come back here, we were all inclusive and spent more time out buying food then staying in the hotel. Then got told I had to pay an extra £15 euro to get drinks after 11 as my all inclusive ( ran out ) yet we didn’t get picked up until late. So more money spent going out.

The maid staff was excellent the rooms were spotless and always had a fun display in the rooms, couldn’t fault restaurant staff or bar staff they really tried to improve our holiday, however I can honestly say I’d never come back here or recommended it to anyone. When we booked 4 months ago the reviews seemed good leading up
To the holiday they slowly dropped and safe to
Say I can see why!

Entertainment was a joke, don’t start until 9:30 and music was off by 10:30-11 bar shut early all the time
Never sayed open until midnight, nothing here for kids at all no entertainment or kids games, the childrens club or picture you see when booking is not here.

Very disappointed

The room was actually pretty nice, BUT the aircon wouldn't work at first, it kept defaulting back to a default setting that meant it would not turn on when the room was boiling hot. We had to ask for the maintenance team over and over and over again to come and turn the aircon on because they would not leave us with a remote...

The proximity to the beach is perfect, BUT the proximity to the sewage plant is horrendous and leaves you with the smell of SH*T in the hotel from around 10 pm to 10 am. you could not enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony or outside at the hotel for this reason.

Jet2 Customer service, If you book through jet2 the customer helpers are great at taking your money for excursions! and all happy and friendly until you bring up the smell or the problems with the room. Then they become dismissive and unfriendly, and the online customer support refuse to acknowledge any issues and flat out DENY the problems you have such as the inability to use the aircon.

The reception staff is absolutely amazing! and I've heard so were the entertainment staff, but we couldn't stay in the hotel in the evening because of the smell, so didn't get to experience the entertainment staff.

The outdoor barbeque staff, however, were completely dismissive of the approximate 1000 flies sat on the paella after it was reported by 4/5 different people the paella sat out in the open.

This hotel has great potential but the stench is really a deal-breaker.
Seriously just search in the reviews for the smell, it's been going on for years!

Dear guest, Thank you for writing to us with your opinion and for visit our four-star hotel in Tenerife. We sincerely regret that we did not completely fulfil your expectations on this visit and have taken note of your kind suggestions and will pass them on to the correct departments. The air conditioning is set to 21ª, this can also be changed at the customer's request. This change is made by our maintenance staff; this is usually maintained for the entire stay. If this was not the case in your case, we sincerely apologize. In terms of gastronomy, this is one of the hallmarks of our company and our professional chefs strive every day to please everyone, using only the freshest ingredients and varied recipes. The fact that the BBQ had problems with the cover is unacceptable. We will have to seriously discuss this in the relevant department. Unfortunately, we cannot comment on external services, such as your travel agency. Please contact the relevant service providers for this. We also want to apologize for the odor nuisance. This is not caused by the hotel and it is not in our hands to prevent this. The hotel works closely with the district municipality and we will pass on your comment as soon as possible. On a happier note we thank you for your very nice compliments for our team of staff here as they do work very hard every day to make sure our guests feel well attended to at all times and definitely are an asset to our hotel. We will certainly relay your praising comments to all of them and we are sure they will be pleased to know their efforts have been appreciated. We value your feedback immensely and appreciate you bringing to our attention these matters as it helps us deliver our best on a daily basis. I can only hope that when your travels lead back to Tropical Tenerife you will give the Olé Tropical Tenerife hotel another chance. If you would like to discuss your stay with me personally please contact me at the number listed below. Sincere apologies. Kind regards Hotel Manager

This is from their website: "Remember to choose your dinnertime look carefully. During dinner, guests wearing swimwear or a sleeveless T-shirt will not be allowed to enter the restaurant." Breakfast and lunch are more relaxed.
