The Villa Mandi Golf Resort presents a mixed bag of experiences, with some guests enjoying the clean and spacious rooms and quiet location suited for families, while others are disappointed by insufficient housekeeping and the resort's distance from central attractions. The atmosphere and amenities generally meet expectations, but there's a call for more entertainment options and better maintenance. Opinions on value for money and service quality diverge, with negative notes on costliness and occasionally unprofessional staff. Additionally, noise disturbances from nearby activities can be an issue for those seeking tranquility.

After reading some of the recent poor reviews I was quite worried about staying here however we were pleasantly surprised. We did half board and the buffet breakfast and dinner were better than expected. There was something different to try every night along with the option of something freshly cooked from the grill. For those who only like beige food there were chips and chicken nuggets or fish fingers every night. The pool area was nice and clean, plenty of loungers and shades, the only thing I noticed was that all inclusive guests left half finished drinks by the loungers, rather than returning them to the bar. The room was clean and spacious - we had a pool view room which I was glad of as I don't think the street view would be so pleasant. Wifi was good. TUI rep was helpful and friendly as were all the hotel staff. The free bus to the beach / Siam park was good and we got a taxi a couple of times which was between 5 and 10 euros.

Just come back from a weeks stay with my parents. It was a great holiday. The hotel is very good, exceptionally clean and tidy and has a very relaxing feel. Everything is really close by so you only have a short walk to reception/food/entertainment and pool area not like some places we’ve been before where it’s like a 10 min walk to reception. Staff very good, very quick to take plates away at mealtimes and friendly. Food very good a nice selection and you can get meat/fish/veg cooked fresh as well at meal times including pancakes at breakfast. There are snacks out in the gazebo area outside the restaurant in between breakfast/lunch and lunch/dinner. There is also a pool bar where you can get toasted sandwiches in the afternoon. The tap water is not suitable for drinking but the machines in the food places that have cold water and sparkling water have been filtered so are fine to drink (so our TUI rep told us). We drunk it all week and didn’t have any problems. They also had a selection of milks for breakfast such as soya. We went all inclusive with TUI and you could get rose, red and White House wines included. Some of the others you had to pay for. There are boards with ice creams on but please be aware all inclusive ones are small tubs of vanilla, strawberry and chocolate, you have to pay for the rest. Big pool was heated and nice to swim in, there are plenty of sun beds with shades and we never had a problem getting one. There are towels in the room for showering but no towels provided by pool which isn’t an issue but just remember to bring one. Mini disco for kids from 8 in the evening and other entertainment at 9pm, some of which we had were ABBA tribute, flamenco dancing, parrot show etc. Also usual quiz and karaoke and bingo. Supermarket on site which was well stocked. Room very nice, clean and big and beds were comfortable. We had a kettle and toaster in our room. 25 min walk to the beaches in Los Cristianos, very nice walk along the coast to Playa De las vistas beach and along. Nice shops and food places here and nice beaches. We had unlimited access to Siam Park water park with our all inclusive package with TUI which was so good and we all enjoyed it. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel that goes to Siam Park and the beach leave hotel at 9:30 and 12 and returns at 4:30pm. Also a shopping centre with supermarket and high street shops such as H&M etc a few mins walk from Siam Park which was good. Weather was a bit cool the first 3 days but lovely (around 20 degrees C) the next 4 days. Would highly recommend this resort to everyone it was very good value for money.

Came here in Feb half term 2020 great resort for children ,pool excellent with lots of inflatables provided always room on the sun beds very clean and well supervised.Food good plenty of choice ,but make sure you get your dessert first and put it on your table ,very child friendly special area for small children to choose their own .all inclusive drinks good ,ice cream available for children from about 10.30 am then all day .Take your own pool towels as they charge you per towel per day to hire with a deposit we fell foul of this never had to hire per day before .All inclusive free pass to Siam Park via a free shuttle bus pass lasts all week shuttle bus 9.30 and 12.30 going pick 4.30 takes you to the beach as well .We went by taxi to the beach as 9.30 was too early stayed all day you have to hire beach beds for the day and parasol .
The hotel is a bit out on a limb not very near shops but the hotel does have a small supermarket .We went in a taxi to Playa las America to walk around the shops .Our room was brilliant two story ,kitchenette ,two bedrooms ,two bath rooms ,roof top solarium, and wrap around balcony ,kitchenette has a hot plate ,microwave ,fridge ,kettle ,we only used the fridge and kettle as we were all inclusive.Take as much of your toiletries and sun screen as possible very expensive in shop .You don’t need pool toys .All staff very friendly, dining room staff brilliant .On check out day your room is locked at about 11.50 am so beware .overall a s excellent holiday would go back with family but not as a couple or single .

just come back from a week all inclusive holiday. Restaurant/reception/pool side very clean, no faults. The food was amazing, always something different and very tasty, no complaints in that department except for considering it was an all inclusive holiday, you had to pay for almost everything, all cocktails had to be paid for, there was no where to get ice cream during the days, so you had to pay for them from behind the bar. entertainment around the pool was non existent which was quite disappointing. The worst part about the holiday was the cleanliness of the room, we was not expecting it to be fit for a queen, considering it was only 3* but we was hoping for a clean tidy room. But it was not, the bed wasn't changed the whole time we was there, and we know that because there was a mark on the sheets from the day we got there till the day we left. the floor was not mopped once, we had to constantly wear shoes our room which was not very comfortable when you just wanted to put your feet up and relax on the sofa. We seen at least 5 cockroaches during our stay, on the sofa, around the sink and behind cupboards, which was very off putting. Day after day we sat around the pool and watched the maids enter the room, and they was in there just under 5 mins each day, not once did i see a mop enter the room, which explains the state of the floors.
The last day came and we was ready to have a shower and get ready, ready for our bus to arrive. we asked where the shower rooms were and was told that we had to book a time slot, which would be half 4, meaning we had just under an hour for 2 people to shower, get dry, dry hair and get dressed, We was not informed about having to book a time slot to use the shower room. After finally getting into the shower room, we was disgusted by what we seen, there was no clean towels, there was wet towels all over the floors, the bottom of the bath was black, toilet roll was soaking wet in the bottom of the bath. I felt dirtier coming out of there than i did before i went.
Over all we was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. We will not be returning.

Overall I had a lovely stay at Villa Mandi and would definitely come back.

We came as a family of 9, three generations.

The food was really lovely and was different every evening / lunch. There was a good selection and they kept it replenished. The chef cooked meats on the grill which they brought to the table or there was a selection from the buffet and a small salad bar.

The shower water was a good pressure and lovely and hot!

The wifi wasn’t bad either. I normally find on holiday you only get WiFi in certain places but I seemed to get signal everywhere in the hotel.

The Pool was lovely and was always the perfect temperature for swimming. It seemed to get warmer later in the day!

The grounds and room were clean.

Gabriel the barman, was really friendly and funny. Great interaction with the kids!

The entertainment team were also really good fun and great with the kids. Although due to it being a quiet time of year, there wasn’t many people wanting to join it, but they did well considering.

It’s a 20 min walk to the town / beach or between €4-8 in a taxi! I’d recommend going to the Heladeria Pasteleria La Barca ice cream parlour in town by the beach as their ice cream is amazing!

The great thing was that you get unlimited access to Siam Park which I would thoroughly recommend! I’ve been before and 100% would go again. A bus leaves at 9:30 and 12 to the park and takes you home again at 4:30pm. Although it’s not far from the hotel so cheap to get a taxi if you do miss the bus!

My criticisms would be that there was only 1 member of staff on reception when we arrived to check in 18/20 people. Not what you want when your flight was 2 hours late and you’re all tired and hungry. We then found out the restaurant had closed 15 mins before so we missed dinner. It was a shame they couldn’t have just seen what was left and kept something out for us, even if it was just cheese / ham and some rolls. We were advised to get a taxi to town or order take away - which isn’t ideal at 9:20pm when you have kids! I’m sure they were aware a coach full of guests were late checking in so it would have been nice if they had of used their initiative and kept the kitchen open a little later or left aside something small for us!

The apartment also had a massive wardrobe but about 6 hangers so no where to put anything.

It said each room would have a sofa bed but when we arrived, 2 of the 3 rooms had bunk beds, which isn’t an issue, but should provide as advertised!

We visited here from 6th Aug-17th Aug 2021. swapping from Egypt due to that being on the red list.
As a family of 6 we booked 2 separate rooms but a quick email to the reception and we was able to all be put into a 1x Duplex (2bedroom) apartment on the top floor. The buildings are only 2 floors total. The balconies are pretty decent sized depending which apartment you got, we actually got 3 different balconies for the 1 room.
All rooms had recently been renovated to a high standard, walk in shower downstairs with his and hers sink and toilet, 2 or 3 person bath upstairs with his and hers sink and toilet. Great lighting throughout, 3x aircon systems which was decent aswell. Good kitchen and hob, microwave, utensils, pots and pans. The fridge was ok but the small freezer compartment was useless.
Sheets changed at least every other day if not every day.
The sofa bed is decent, when in bed mode it is 2x single beds with own separate mattresses and own metal framing, perfect for 2 children.
There seems to have been 3 pools but 1 is drained and out of sight, the other 2 are fully functional but are not massive, the 1 up the steps is the cool pool and the 1 at the bottom of the steps is the heated (very hot) pool.
Not sure if this is down to covid or not but there was absolutely no entertainment in the evenings, or during the day.
The hotel is a fair distance from the shore, walking is probably about 30mins at a decent pace, taxi is about 5 mins at approx €5 each way, this will start to add up after a while.
The food was quite repetitive with a very limited choice with the same approx 3 meats and 2 fish on everyday with sauteed veg and pasta.
The closest shop was the Mercadona approx 10 mins walk each way. The Villa Mandi seemed to be the only hotel open on this street/road.
All staff were pleasant.
We had to go half board due to the hotel not offering all inclusive this time, even though it was available on the TUI website. It cost €2 per soft drink with our meals and alcoholic drinks where quite pricey apart from the beer which is always cheap in Tenerife.
All in all I would only come here again for a quick getaway with my partner, I wouldn't brink the children here again. Siam Park is obvs very good but after that there is nothing.

I know there has been a lot of changes due to covid and the hotel may be running differently to how it was,but if this is how holidays are going to be for the next couple of years, then I wouldn't bother.

Sorry to hear that your holiday to Egypt was cancelled, we understand how important holidays are specially when we are looking forward to something planned and all changes last minute. Thankfully after this pandemic situation which has lasted a year and a half we have been able to reopen with all the dificulty that this implies and also taking into consideration that we are still on amber list. Taking all this into consideration we still thrive in making our guests enjoy special time out and value for money. Thank you for taking time in giving an opinion on our hotel, we look forward to the day that things will be normalized so that we can widen our offer and our guests can choose to have an all inclusive and a full entertainment as we have had in the past, until then we will work hard in making holidays special for our guest with what we have to offer.

I have been coming to Tenerife for many years and stayed in apartments/hotels. We had a great holiday and made the most of it but it was not up to scratch and should be a self catering hotel.
The room was ok but there were bits in the bed on the first night which wasn’t very comforting. The bathroom bath handle was falling off and had brown staining in the bath, the soap dispenser on the wall was dirty and wasn’t cleaned the whole time we were there, the floor wasn’t cleaned once in a week or the balcony which it really needed after the sand storm. We purchased a safe code which stopped working after day 2 so wouldn’t bother unless you get a room with a safe key.
The food was very good and fresh could not fault that , always something different. Only got asked for drinks in restaurant twice in a week though.
Facilities wise for young children it is probably great but for older boys 10/12 they wanted more activities and unfortunately even though the hotel has a football pitch across the road you cannot use it unless it’s on a Friday with the entertainment team for an hour.
The pool tables broke half way through the holiday and we had to pay for them which is fine but not one pool competition with animation team all week which left table tennis only.
The soft drinks were awful along with the cocktails which we did buy the cocktail of the day once. Hoping it wasn’t cheap ingredients but again it was and should have been free on the all inclusive.
We just felt there were not enough staff and they all seemed unhappy even though they were friendly, except one bar man. I read the reviews and thought it would be fine as sometimes people moan about anything. But in this case I wish we booked elsewhere. We did enjoy our holiday and location is great, bus, Siam park passes but we would never return.

We booked Villa Mandi mainly because it offered a 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchen, but this hotel really impressed us. Smaller than the other hotels we stayed in, it was very clean and modern (It looked like the hotel had been recently renovated) and the staff were just lovely.

The apartment was a lot nicer than I expected. Again, very clean & modern. The bed was really comfortable too! Although located on the ground floor & by the pool (room 114) we didn’t hear any noise. The kitchen was tiny, but it had a microwave, electric hob (2 rings), small fridge, utensils etc. Not ideal for a full blown meal but fine if you want to rustle up a quick meal.
If you use a pushchair, the apartment we had (room 114) may not be right for you, as there are stairs leading down to the apartment. You can get out by the french windows though, so that will be an option!
There is also a playground situated around the corner from the room which was usually empty, but was perfect for my daughter!

The main pool was heated and was lovely! It isn’t the biggest pool compared to other hotel pools but it was really nice. There were always sun beds available (the hotel did not allow any guest to reserve beds before 9) even in the prime spots.

As much as I loved this hotel, the food wasn’t the best. Quite bland and not a huge choice, but as I said, it was a smaller hotel. We ate out most days/evenings as it’s quite cheap to eat out. We will probably do self catering the next time we go to Tenerife.

We only went to see the evening entertainment once during our stay, but mostly because we were out all day most days, but the one time we went, we really enjoyed it. Our 2 year old daughter had such a great time as the entertainer was just brilliant.

The hotel isn’t on the beach, and is approximately a 20 minute walk to the beach/promenade which we really liked. The hotel is also a short walk away from a small shopping complex which was great!

Lastly, the free admission to Siam park was amazing! We didn’t bother with the shuttle bus but just ordered a cab as was only 7 euros!

On arrival we were dealt with by Antonio who put us in a room facing the street where the sewers run along and there is a constant foul smell this wasn’t the room we booked but apparently it was all they had available even though once we had unpacked and went to the pool area we realised the hotel was virtually empty and when we questioned the situation with the TUI rep the following morning we were told the hotel was only at 40% capacity and they simply can’t be bothered to covid clean and release the rooms that we requested ? Also I discussed Antonio with the rep and his obnoxious and unhelpful attitude and the rep said she was fully aware of his ways and she herself dreaded even saying good morning to him as he is not a nice man??
Simple Antonio should not be working in a customer facing role whatsoever.
Now to the hotel I appreciate its going to be different in these covid times but all of the things that made me choose to come to this hotel for my 4th visit which on the website and the TUI website where still being advertised as in place were not
No courtesy bus
No animation
No entertainment
No on site supermarket
Bar closes really early

As this hotel is quite far out from the lively areas and supermarkets due to all of the above not being available we spent an absolute fortune on taxis
Also in our room we had constant problems with our air conditioning and yes I had to deal with Antonio again and had a full blown argument with him as he seemed to think I didn’t know the difference between hot and cold to the point I had to get the TUI rep to come to my room feel how it was like a sauna and then she went to him and told him and then it got fixed seriously this man is in the wrong occupation !
The air con then worked great for a few days before failing again on this occasion I couldn’t be doing with the hassle of going through the procedure again to prove I knew the difference between hot and cold so we suffered it for the rest of the holiday.

4 times I have been here I have even written previous reviews stating how good this hotel is but like I stated NEVER AGAIN !!!

Dear Lee Maher I have spoken to Antonio and he does not understand at which point your feelings had been hurt as he was only trying to do the best in his job position at solving problems that could occur. I’ve never been a fan of “he said she said situations, but given that this review is public, I feel the need to respond and help shed some light on what happened here. Before hand our team would like to apologize for the situation regarding this Covid-19 pandemic and any alterations that this situation has forced on us all, making us change life as it was before and leading us to have to adapt our way of life and the way jobs are carried out. I understand that you were not happy with the way check in is managed, obviously now we are required to have copies of vaccination certificates and passports digitally as we are told to avoid having paper work handed back and forth and even though this takes a few moments longer we believe that if this keeps our guests and staff safe it is all worth the while. Mr. Maher I believe there must be some confusion regarding the first part of your opinion, as after checking with various member of our team I have confirmed that you and your family were never placed in a street view apartment. On arrival you had asked Antonio if you could be placed near the main pool and when he checked your room type on his arrivals list he made the mistake of reading the wrong code, this is why he said that you had booked a street view, but being honest, when you told him that you had not bought a street view he checked again and apologized for his mistake and confirmed that you had reserved a duplex apartment which as we are sorry to say does not exist around the main pool. I understand that sometimes we may feel that things could be run better and that each person could feel that they would do a better job but believe me Mr. Maher when I say that as a business we work hard behind and on front line in delivering what seems easy to do. Ensuring our guest get the best value for money and the holiday that they have reserved. Regarding the services that you stated as advertised by your tour operator and that were not available on site, I must say that some time before we reopened on end of July we had already informed your tour operator and taking into consideration these “Covid times” as you say, we would not be launching those services and I believe that guests were informed before their holiday and given other options if this would suppose a problem for them. I do understand that regarding your taxi fares as a result of the above mentioned you were given a good will gesture from your rep. Mr. Maher once again I have reached another point of confusion in your opinion regarding the situation with the AC and what you refer that the rep had said about her negative feelings towards Antonio. After having spoken with them both, the feedback is of; shock and they do not recognize the situation as described by you. Antonio remembers that you expressed “it was much cooler in the street than it was inside the apartment” all he could do is send maintenance to confirm that the AC was functioning to which maintenance confirmed that AC was fine, seeing that there was contradiction, he then asked the rep to verify the situation together with maintenance by using a thermometer to confirm at what temperature the air was coming out of the AC ventilator. After confirming this with the rep and maintenance they have said that their recordings on the general and main AC ventilator the temp of air was coming out at º17 and on the side vent it was at º20. This temperature indoors is considered cool, the rep said that in main living area it was really cool and that she did feel a change in temp from side vent that affects entrance to the apartment but insists that in either case it was no were near a sauna, the temperature was cool inside. Mr. Maher my maintenance did not carry out any work on the AC but you seem to believe that it was fixed. ¿could this have been a matter of waiting the time needed for the AC to cool the whole apartment? After speaking to all people implicated in this stream of events that has made you feel negatively in respect to certain members of staff I insist that not in any way would this be something personal against you as everyone on our team is here to work at providing what our guests have paid for. It’s a matter of working together to find solutions that aren’t out of our hands. I can only hope that this reply which I have taken very seriously has shed some light and helped you see things from a different perspective.

We had 2 room located on the ground floor opposite the golf course near the kids play park, rooms were a great size, clean and tidy, the lovely cleaning lady would give us fresh towels daily. we booked sc as we were unsure with covid. we ate in the cafe 1 day, it was overpriced for what it was. The supermarket is a 10 min walk to the right, i recommend the loft beside it for food. the hotel is a bit too far out, we spent 10 euro daily on taxis into the patch of safari centre.

Is this suitable for those with disability/walking issues and don't want to drive.

No as there isn't a lot within walking distance unless you are ok with getting taxis or staying within the hotel if you're all inclusive but the main resort/restaurants/shops/beaches are not within easy walking distance
