Best Tenerife Hotel presents a mixed bag according to guest reviews, with its prime location near beaches and shops standing out as a highlight. Despite the lively entertainment and praised service from friendly staff, some guests have called out the hotel for not offering value for money and having a tired atmosphere with repetitive music.
While cleanliness gets a nod for spotless rooms and daily upkeep, there are noted inconsistencies. Room experiences vary, with some enjoying the size and upkeep, while others are bothered by dated decor and noise.

Reception very good no problem with check in fairly straightforward Room - double room with TV in bedroom which was a novelty as well as TV in lounge had the 4 main UK channels on it, balcony overlooking the storage area for this hotel and view of the side of an adjacent hotel, so the view wasn’t great. There was a sofa bed in the room, but couldn’t use it as where it was positioned, it wouldn’t open up fully. Housekeeping was done every day beds made towels changed etc The hotel decor needs to be upgraded, especially in the corridors of the hotel where it looked dated, plus some of the sockets were hanging loosely by their wires, this was reported to reception. Food - plenty of selection every meal was a hot & cold buffet which was really nice to choose something different each day. AI drinks were served in plastic beakers or paper cups poolside, even the cocktails which were made by yourself with local spirits and not a lot of, you could pay extra premium rate of €12 per day for selected beers and spirits if you wanted those, although some of the selection had a further payment to pay if you wanted certain brands, the AI package ran from 1030 to 2300 which the staff were on the nail with. WiFi - in the rooms was good in the morning and late evening, but by the poolside it was hit and miss, and buffered a lot, maybe a WiFi booster would help somewhat. Entertainment - usual daytime poolside activities around the pool if you could be bothered to join in, but some fairly decent entertainment in the evening. pianist in the lounge bar and a Cabaret act by the poolside bar. There is a spa area with pool sauna and steam room, with spa activities available for a charge. Roof top access for sunbathing is extra €10 per day if you are not booked into the superior rooms

This was our second time at Best Tenerife, we were also there off peak in May 2023. I was worried about returning as I have been reading some of the recent reviews and wondered what could possibly have changed in a year? – in all honesty, nothing had and we had the most amazing time! … I think some people are just far too fussy! We were there all-inclusive in full peak season and the hotel was fully booked – which meant it was busy, but what more would you expect in August? This hotel I believe still stands up to its 4 star rating, yes not every wall is perfectly painted and the odd tile was cracked but that didn’t affect our holiday experience. Staff- each and every one of them that we came in contact with were so friendly and helpful. Accommodation – we paid extra for the senator rooms for more space, use of the safe and a fridge with drinks replenished every day, this also meant we had the daily turndown service with fresh towels (and chocolates) I think this is definitely worth the extra. The rooms were spacious and always cleaned to a high quality, No matter which side of the hotel you stay the balcony always has a lovely view of the mountains and the sea.(we didn’t want a pool view) We had two rooms next door to each other, one had recently been renovated and had a lovely walk in shower, our second room had a shower over a bath. Something for everyone so we were all happy. Food – I can’t believe some people were saying the food wasn’t nice, maybe I’m easily pleased, but we couldn’t of been happier with the food, yes your standard hotel food but I can say I had something different every day I was there, the themed nights were lovey, Mexican, Chinese, seafood and more! The kids were as happy as can be with the constant flow of burgers and chips by the pool too! Pool area – yes its busy, but if you don’t want busy then don’t go to a hotel! the pool was great and want overly busy! If you want a sunbed then get up early – or do what we did and chill at the tables and chairs by the bar, either under an umbrella or in the sun, and then wait till 4ish and the beds soon clear, bonus as its still super-hot and the pools open till 7 anyway. Though we noticed quite a few days there were still stacks of sunbeds free until around lunch time. ..if your lucky then the lifeguard will clear any towels from sunbeds that people claimed but haven’t been used in the morning. Outside bar – lovely area, the bar staff were great! The drinks are self service, which I think is so much better than having to wait to be served. Loads available, local brands but still good, San Miguel on tap! As well as Sangria! But … take your own plastic cups/beakers with lids & straws, Unless you want to use paper cups! (no glass as its close to the pool) We also had access the adult roof top which is great for some peace and some real tan time. You can help yourself to drinks up there too. Overall I love this hotel and its location, we would happily go back again.

This is not a 4 star hotel. We decided to book this hotel as we like the location. We normally book La Siesta across the road but as this was more expensive we thought it would be better, but this was not the case. We were greeted lovely as we arrived just before the restaurant closed, and they offered us a meal, which was great. That was about it! We requested rooms together as we booked 2 rooms as we did not want to be split up. We were told that we couldn’t be accommodated as everyone can’t get what they want. That was at booking in. The hotel is dated and is in serious need of an update. All the furniture in the communal areas are shabby and dirty, with no style and nothing looks put together. The Eden project was pointless and dirty looking. The lifts made noises that we could hear in our rooms. The rooms were in serious need of an update. The flooring was worn or delaminating and all the furniture was chipped. The aircon was freezing and we needed the blankets as even when we turned it off, it still through out cold air. The pool area and bar was a joke. Self service bar was a shock, just helping yourself to alcohol was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. There was no control and it appeared no one was watching who was getting drinks. It didn’t seem to matter if you were all inclusive of 15 years old, just help yourself!!! And apparently cocktails are a hotel speciality, as long as you can press a button on a machine. Again a joke. The pool area was disorganised and was full even before breakfast as there was a towel rush at 6am. We got out of the hotel as much as we could. We were close to the beach which helped. Hygiene procedures in the restaurant needed to be followed as they did not take care with raw and cooked meat. There were not enough chefs behind the hot plate to cook all that was on offer, so there were long waits, which probably accounted for the lack of food standards. However the only place that was run like clockwork was the restaurant and the staff in there, not the chefs who were grumpy, were fantastic. I would never book this hotel again, and I would discourage anyone I know from booking!

The rooms are reasonable but definitely in need of renovation. If you want a better room, you can upgrade on site for 50 or 60 euros per room per day. The swimming pool is absolutely not attractive. the swimming pool looks big and big in the photos. In reality the swimming pool is not big enough for this large hotel, the water is ice cold (not heated, only the very small children's pool is). The towel dispensers come to lay their towels every day from 7:00 am. Afraid that they don't have a place. If you go at 10-11 am, there will be a few people there, but ALL beds are occupied with towels. So we did not use the swimming pool once. the staff does nothing about this. All beds are directly next to each other, so it is difficult to get in or out and you are also on the lips of your neighbors. There are many, many noisy English people in this hotel. Unfortunately, we experienced this as negative for the first time. Finally, the food is decent. Some things are okay, but many are not. Many desserts have a stale taste. How can chocolate taste the same as cake? I don't know, but it really is. No more desserts after 2 days. Also worth mentioning, most of the staff is downright rude and not interested at all. This hotel is therefore not recommended, we will never go there again. Ultimately too much money for what you get. We have been coming to Tenerife for years, but we have never experienced this before. Visited 01-01-2024 to 08-01-2024.

Lovely hotel, we went for our 1 year anniversary (in our late 20s) and had the best time. The first room we were allocated i was unhappy with purely because of its location i didn’t feel like it got much sunlight as it was only half a balcony door because it was in the corner, although the room itself was huge. So we spoke to reception and no questions asked they offered us an alternative straight away, even gave us the room key to go and ensure we liked it first! We were over the moon with the alternative, spacious and clean with that’s all we needed. The room was cleaned daily, cleaners were lovely and would give us extra towels when we asked. (I’m a germaphobe however the room was spotless) The food is your average all inclusive food however we wanted to eat out most nights anyway so wasn’t that bothered. They do have themed food nights though. A little more variation of vegetarian food would be great too. However the restaurant staff are quick and attentive and always seat you so you aren’t wandering around looking for a table. Self serve drinks means no long queues which is perfect. (I wish they’d allow pepsi to be served at breakfast time 😂) For sunbeds, My partner went down between 6.30-7.30 most mornings to grab 2 sunbeds and we’d always be using it straight after breakfast but there’s no sunbed wars, often he was on his own down there. Beds are stacked up so you could always get one, maybe just not always next to the pool. I have a photo i took of the pool at 8.22am from the room and there was loads of beds still stacked! The only downside to the pool was a strange smell that would come about 5/6pm but it didn’t seem to bother most people, we only smelt it a couple times and you could only smell it in the pool? Location is perfect, walking distance to everything but a taxi was only ever €10-€12 at the most. Shop right next door for necessities which is ideal. Downside is €2 for a game of pool in the games room/lobby is a bit steep but that’s probably my only complaint 🤣 Lifts can be busy but longest we waited was 5 minutes! Entertainment for kids was pretty funny to watch and they loved it but the adult entertainment was a bit naff - normally just some form of dancer. Plenty to do nearby though. We were a bit put off by previous reviews but honestly, a holiday is what you make it. I think if you let the staff know of any issues they’ll do their best to help! we had the most amazing time and plan to return next year! 🥰

We had booked this hotel about a year in advance, at which time the reviews were great! However the closer and closer we got to our holiday the reviews started taking a turn for the worse. I feel like I need to write this review for anyone that is in the same position as we were.
We’re a family of 5 - kids are 8, 6 & 1 years old. My in-laws were also staying at the hotel and overall we had a great holiday, the kids absolutely loved it.
I would probably agree that the hotel is not really a 4* hotel, more like a 3.5/3.75*. Our judgement may be clouded because the last 4* hotel we stayed in mainland Spain was absolutely exceptional.
First of all the hotel is no where near as awful as some of the reviews I’ve read. The reception area is lovely, very welcoming and the staff were amazing - they were especially attentive to the kids. There are no stenches that other people speak about, neither at the pool or at the indoor water feature.
The rooms are nice, pretty standard rooms just like any other rooms we have stayed in on holiday. I found them spacious and fitted 2 double beds and a travel cot and we still had room to move about. The rooms were clean and tidy, no issues there. The cleaning staff were quiet but always spoke when they see you.
I agree that the sun loungers round the pool is not ideal, people do put towels on the loungers then go out for the day and come back to their “reserved” loungers. It would be great if this was policed a bit more as it’s not fair for the people that are genuinely spending the day at the pool with the kids. Saying that, we did manage to get loungers most days. The pool was great for the kids and clean, would totally recommend pool shoes though, not much people were wearing them but my daughter did hurt her toes on the tiles.
The location is great, very close to the beach, shops and restaurants. As a side note, I was worried about milk for our youngest as she still takes 2 bottles a day but there are fridges in the rooms and we managed to get bottles of pasteurised whole milk from the shop directly across the road.
I don’t think I would rush back but our time there was genuinely fine, we didn’t have any issues whatsoever.

Was worried after seeing the negative reviews but we had a great holiday. Check in was very smooth, booked a double room but were given the bottom floor family rooms which were huge - modern bathrooms and very clean - right opposite the pool bar which was perfect for getting a drink when getting ready for evening etc. Pool area clean and pool bar was great - self serve. Investing in some better glasses would be a good thing - cheap cups which didnt hold much - even if you made people pay a deposit to keep their cup for the week etc. We came prepare and brought our own but on the odd occasian we didnt, we found the cups were pretty crap! Our kids loved the kids club and animation team and cried on our last night knowing they were leaving. A couple of nights the entertainment was great but most nights were pretty poor ( please pay a little more for better acts and it would make a whole lot of difference to this hotel) We found the food to be lovely in the buffet resteraunt. Plenty of choice and tasty! Pool bar got a bit boring, but was ok. A la carte restaraunt was beautiful and highly recommend. Would visit hotel again for sure. Thank you best tenerife for a great stay

3 of us stayed here, first girls holiday, however we were disappointed as we feel it was not worth the money. Although it was a great location we were disappointed with the food, lacking in flavour, variety and heat. Also not much choice for people with dietary requirements. Second of all, considering that we were all inclusive we were under the impression all drinks would be included the price paid but we later discovered that if you wanted the bartenders to make you a drink you had to pay. Overall room was adequate, balcony was good with a nice view, however the mattress was rock hard, really uncomfortable, there was also no fan in the bathroom this resulted in mould on the ceiling just outside the bathroom which continued to significantly grow over the week. When we brought this to their attention at the end of our stay, they did not seem too concerned. We were also disappointed by the fact that there was not enough sun loungers for the amount of people staying at the hotel and would have to wait until lunch time before one became available. Most of the time the loungers were not in use just claimed by towels. Mainly positive experience with staff, but on our last day one member of staff from the front desk was very impatient with us and proceeded to laugh and talk about us was we walked away.

To start with the positive the staff are nice and polite and helpful. We must have had a room that’s been refreshed the room is big and there was 2 full sized double beds . Hotel is clean room was clean. There’s a few stains on the lamp so feel that could be replaced. The walls in the hotel room have cracked and need fixing. The shower and bathroom are clean and again think refreshed. The WiFi is bad so if you have teenagers they need data. My son had no WiFi in his room and they changed his room the first room they offered was very outdated and we refused and they gave him another one which was up to standard. The food is basic there’s a choice but the same everyday and it’s not hot don’t think we’ve eaten one thing that was hot but again most hotels are the same.there was no allergy information on the food and no veggie labels also see the lady touching raw chicken then not changing gloves and washing hands and then touching other items which is a big no. Drinks are help yourself which lets the hotel down and branded drinks are not included on all inclusive you need to upgrade. The lobby bar is nice but there are other areas of the hotel that definitely need updating. We were going to use the roof terrace which you pay for but couldn’t as our sons not 18 we felt this was not fair as his a couple of months off and wouldn’t be running around and being silly but policy is policy. The sun beds are really uncomfortable and the pool is freezing maybe could be heated in the cooler months. The toilets by the pool need improvement and there’s only 1 female one. Overall we had a nice stay but definitely don’t think it’s a 4 star hotel more a 3 star.

Celebrating New Year's Eve is fun in Tenerife. In recent years we see many young people in December, especially English. This was our 2nd time at Best Tenerife Hotel. Initially booked on the lowest possible room. We got a room on ground floor near the parking lot, you didn't see anything from the balcony because of white walls. The reception was accommodating when we asked for another room, it became the 5th floor. Here a beautiful view of the area. Beautiful balcony, evening blue lighting along the balcony edge. Rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfast well cared for, choice enough what you want to eat, from smoothie to white beans with eggs and bacon to. Animation present every day.
Less: the pool was relatively too small for the number of guests. In the morning, the hotel guests occupied the poolside sunbeds with their beach towels very early. It is a hotel that is highly recommended.
